Special thank you to @NotATether for creating this topic and updating it, I hope it will be a saviour to the intending victims of 1xBit and social media victims at large. I wonder why people would abandon a company with track records and with traceable contacts to do business with social media arrangements that are untraceable. That is gullibility!
Same reason people continue getting scammed even with ponzi schemes today;
Greed
No due diligence etc

And you think this guy is ready for all that? I don't think so and I won't even blame him for that because it would be pointless at times to treat some cases with seriousness when you know the result will still end in a dead end. 1xBit is not new to most people on the forum and things have always been the same when complainers show all the needed evidence.

The best is to avoid such a company, they aren't worth the time to gather the evidence and the time-consuming epistles to back it up.
Why not add more details if he already signed up in this forum to report being scammed by 1xbit? It may not solve his problem, but it could surely add more voice on why we should avoid the casino. It's like a bad review that anyone can look up on the internet. So this is no wastage of time.

1xbit robbed me around 2000usdt without a reason
You might want to post a full scam accusation including details like transaction IDs, chat logs, screenshots. Right now, you are just making a claim that no one can take seriously. If you want to be taken seriously, you are going to have to post all the proof in one thread.

I don't trust 1xbit any bit, but please make your accusation believable.

This notice has been updated with information about casino solicitors and the fraudulent 1xBit casino which everyone sees to be falling for, even in 2022.

I see that even on this thread people are attempting to pull off petty "private investigator" scams as well. Maybe I will add those in a future revision.

beware of your keys.
for some reason, even having the maximum security settings, there is a chance these scammers can find you out. however, there is a tiny chance (which remains worth mentioning) that you are hit with genuine ones. as a result, i'd have some advice below:

TLDR: most of these "investors" won't even prepare anything for any questions asked by users who are introduced to Roll Eyes. even so, doing any due diligence on their claims can easily figure out if they are even legit.

  • if you receive a message which is already an introduction to their investments, lacking any disclaimers alone is already exposing themselves.
  • however, if you receive the initial off-the-wall message from anyone you aren't even familiar with, check their profile and see who they are and how they even know you.
  • if they tempt you to any investment and you have spare time to handle it, question their investment plans upfront with everything you want to know about. for example, where will your money go, the payouts, risks and benefits for participating, contact information, and more. even though it costs a much longer time than blocking, scammers expose themselves by not properly answering any of your questions.
  • if they have any evidence of their successful "payouts", given that is a common red flag, beg them.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope

I searched the internet until I found a trusted blockchain Analyst investigator who specialized in cryptocurrency cases. I was directed to his page with the name,....

But you're recommending a shady service to a forum filled with people with higher investigative competence. All your service contacts are commonly used by scammers, you should change them immediately. LOL

I honestly know what it feels like to ask this question because after I was scammed by an investor on Telegram and I needed help to get my money back. I searched the internet until I found a trusted blockchain Analyst investigator who specialized in cryptocurrency cases. I was directed to his page with the name, quora.com/profile/Adrian-Gonzalez-433. I sent him an email and the details i had about the scam and that's how he took my case and got my money back.

Normally, compiling links to dangerous videos and websites is risky because unsuspecting fools will still click on them, however it is just fine to report them here if you want to because this thread only gets let's say a few dozen clicks per week.

It's part of a long-term project of mine to make a global blacklist of scam websites (and videos, tweets, anything with a public link).

I am thinking to start a website without any ads. I will list all the Scam websites and there will be an option to report scam websites. I Don't know if I will be successful or not.
People get scammed every day. The thing is Bitcointalk forum doesn't moderate scams. And Forum allows self-moderate threads so this forum becomes a free ad network for them. I will create an ANN Soon after launching my website. I hope the community will support my startup. It's really hard to keep track of Scam's website alone. So I need the community to stand with me. Well, If you already have a website or something like that where you list scams, I would like to contribute there. Together we can make the internet safe. I know it's not possible to stop scammers this way. Still, I will be glad if I can save at least one person from scams.

Also reserved for website blacklist

Thank you very much for the Guide. If I am not wrong, Is that you reserved for the Scam and phishing website list? Should we report the Scam website list so that you can add them all to your blacklist?

I reported a few videos But looks like no actions from Youtube. I was thinking to create a thread and I will post video links often and I need bitcointalk people to Report that scam youtube videos. IDK if Bitcointalk people will help me or not, Also, I am not aware if there is a similar thread already created.

If this thread was for that purpose, I will start reporting websites and Youtube Scam video links here and I will ask my local board people to come here and check it out.
I am wondering this is a Sticky Thread but there are not many posts on this thread. IDK Why? People should Report all the Scam Websites and Scam Youtube videos to make the internet safe. I was get scammed a few times when I was a noob on the internet, I remember I usually search how to make money from the internet and there were a few scam PTC and Ponzi sites.

I've created a similar guide/thread here: [Guide]: How To Report Fake Crypto Related Youtube videos.

Gee, I didn't notice that one. It's a shame that it wasn't stickied earlier.

EDIT: Huge thanks to Theymos for stickying this thread!!

I hope that mods do sticky this thread but you should probably add one for the scams done in Google Ads, I think it can help a lot of if you also cover that base or even probably how to report scam websites.

This is a public service announcement to warn the community about Telegram chats posing as "friends" who made a profit at investment companies. As of July 2022, it also serves as a notice to warn people about casino owners soliciting for your co-operation on Telegram.

Update July 2022: If you are reading this, you have probably saw the new title of this thread containing "Beware of 1xBit casino". This is not a joke! 1xBit is a fraudulent gambling website that will steal all of your deposit money, and then use it to pay for ads on other websites and apps so that they can scam more users. Every second page in this board now has a story about how someone played at 1xBit and had their withdrawal stolen. And we are not talking small money either - these are people who have lost $5000, $20,000, and in some cases even $50,000 dollars. USE 1XBIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

This is just my little part to help the community since I have a stickied thread.

No doubt you're reading this because you're either curious, or some stranger from Telegram contacted you about building a casino / token / ICO / whatever. Or maybe they are even trying to be "nice" to you and showing you a way to make money, if only you send your money to this site bla bla... All of these contacts are scam attempts!

They are not your friends and have not made a profit at any investment company. In fact they haven't even invested anything at investment companies. Block them at first sight and report them to Telegram if you can (Unfortunately, there is no "Report" button for contacts! A bunch of people need to lobby Telegram to make this feature).

Even if you never post your Telegram handle in public like me, you are still at risk of this scam attempt because they comb groups for potential victims.

Sometimes they will talk to you using other languages such as Arabic as well.

They will attempt to show you "withdrawals" from these companies in an effort to fool you into thinking they are legit (they are fake withdrawals).

They will contact you first, unsolicitedly, by looking up your name in a group chat.

Then they will ask you some off-the-wall question about whatever group: "Hey, I see you are in group - How do you like ?" They will attempt to make you believe they are some normal person from some random country with job. They might even try to call you from Telegram app in an effort to appear legit and a "friend". Again, they are not your friends!

Slowly they will change the topic to trading / investment / passive trading and then they will tell you about some "investment" website that they are using.

They will pretend to care about your "prosperity" with is the most disgusting part about this scam. They might say "all my friends are doing this too" (LOL).

If you try to raise any suspicions to them they will attempt to look like an honest person by saying "Oh, I never scam"; "Oh I promise they won't ask for deposit"; "Oh rest assured you will be making amount of money per day!" These are all lies.

Slowly they will attempt to gain your trust by making you sign up to the (scam) investment company, then tell you to make a small deposit.

At first it will look like it is actually making money. You might even withdraw successfully the first time (IF IT IS A SMALL AMOUNT).

The second time you make a deposit and try to withdraw (or if you just sent a large amount of money the first time) they will steal your money using dumb excuses like "Maintainence fee", "cooling lubricant" and other lame scam tactics, in messages sometimes littered with emojis.

They might even tell you to deposit more to get your first deposit out and the fake "friend" will say "yes this is what happened to my friend and he did it and it was resolved" - another lie.

There's a saying: the worst type of person is "fake friend". Here we are seeing examples of some in plain sight. Especially how they pretend to to care about your profit (as I already mentioned above).

I am sharing this warning to you all because I have personally lost $2000 (don't worry, it is manageable) from these kind of scammer "friends" a couple weeks ago, but after more people started contacting me about other "investments", I decided to go public about this.

Here is an example of a lame scammer "friend" attempting to dupe me into sending money to his scam company the other day. Scam investment site has been censored for obvious reasons.

As you can see, this potential scammer attempts to feel "sorry" for me but is actually preparing to scam me. He has no clue that other investment people had tried to scam me before, as evidenced from his reactions.

Whatever you do, do not fall for these people. They are all over Telegram. Again, they are not your friends. They are your enemies who want to rob you of your crypto.

Stay safe, crypto journeymen. And you should definitely block these scam websites in your ad-blocker, or in your hosts file or anti-virus, so that you can clearly identify them,

Original version of this post is titled: "[EDU] Easy 3 step process to report YouTube videos and scam websites to Google!". It's content can be found below:

Found a Youtube video advertising a crypto scam or a fake giveaway?
Or maybe you found a scam website?
Here's how to report it to Google so they can take it down.

I encourage people to post their future warnings about fake site or fake youtube video warnings on this topic, instead of on a new one.

Forum users should report these videos to Google using this method so that other internet users do not see and fall for these traps!

Newbies: here is some reading I made that will educate you about how to know if a site is legit or scam: Top 5 Bitcoin Scams  And How To Avoid Their Trap (external link)

To report YouTube videos:

Unfortunately, Youtube videos promoting scams are prevalent and nobody seems to be doing anything about them (except for making warning threads on this and other boards), so I made this guide in hopes that it gets stickied and picked up by guests browsing the forum as a precaution, as well as by journalists of other sites as well.

1. Click the report button under the video's menu, under the three-dots button, and select "Report"

2. For reason, select "Spam Or Misleading", then "Scam or Fraud"
Make sure you also select the checkbox "This applies to links in the video description"!

3. For additional information, use the exact text below

(ignore the red circle, it is from a chrome extension. The maximum number of characters is 300).

Code:
Instructs users to deposit bitcoins to use a fake service with promise to receive more bitcoins.

There is additional text you must type if you notice all the comments are by generic names such as "Tom Smith" and have no profile picture and have extremely positive reviews (which are fake or bought comments in case you didn't know).

Code:
Additionally, all the video comments are bought/fake and do not reflect the credibility of this video.

When all that is done you will get this success message:

For maximum effectiveness, many people should report the video with this format.

To report a website:

These are steps you should take if you find any scam websites on Google Search. You can use common keywords such as "bitcoin doubler" and "bitcoin giveaway" to find scam websites.

1. Head over to Google Safe Browsing and bookmark this URL for easy reference.

2. Fill in the scam URL, solve the captcha, and use the text below in the additional details.

Code:
Instructs users to deposit bitcoins to use a fake service with promise to receive more bitcoins.

3. Submit the report, it should give you this success page.
