Should we report such threads?
I think so. It's an obvious fake website after all.

Thanks for warning. I saw thread by this user in Project Development section few days ago. I posted warning that's fake website, and this thread has been deleted by mods later. Should we report such threads?

Yeah, it's pretty obvious. All the website does is check if you entered a valid address and then show up a static image which is the QR code of the owner of the website[1].

We should probably do this to the website:

I did a whois lookup on the site, found out they were using Cloudflare. Reported them to Cloudflare, and found out their hosting provider. Reported to the hosting provider. Reported also to Google for good measure. Reported all links on twitter, and associated account of supposed owner(or claimed owner). About a week later I get an email from the hosting provider that it has been taken care of! Check out the site again if you don’t believe me.

It was done to a different website that was doing the same thing (giving a fake QR code) and it's now down thanks to this user.

Damn thanks for letting us know about this, they don't even have information about who is running the site, newbies will fall to this kind of scheme, I notice only Bitcoin is working although there are some coins for preference.

OMG,

If you pleased, let me convey this to my local board (in my language ofcourse).

Yes, please do, the more people see it and share it, the better.

It's worth mentioning that I've seen more than one website offering the same service but I cannot find the links anymore. Stay away from websites offering to generate Qr codes for you.

Yeah, one of my friend was suggesting me on using that site this morning.
Although he isn't involved in it but he was an ignorant one and got lured by an email he received earlier. They might be spamming their URL through emailing. So, watch out for such emails too.

Judging by the looks of it, the site is sketchy as hell, with several red flags out there.

The website: bitcoinqrcodemaker.com

I don't see why would anyone use this website since any reputable wallet would have this feature but I thought should warn everyone. I've tried it by pasting my address there (1GKfk53nujZZEYZg86pPH5xmUM77Q8umq5), I got the QR code and then tried to decode it using an online decoder. I've got a different address which is clearly the one that belongs to the owner of the website.
