Who would believe a website that offers 40 satoshi/min for free, much more than any faucet? It's scam, or at least a ponzi scheme, as OP told us.
Never trust a website that seems to offer you money, but ask first for you to pay. If they really can offer you money, then they can take a part of what they offer to cover expenses needed.

bitminer.io is a waste of (my) time and money.  I tried them too but never did I get any payout. They may be tricking people to let them do a cloud mining initially for free and seemingly earning them satoshis every second, but the moment a user tries to cash them out they will be advised to upgrade their account for 0.01 btc minimum, a requirement for withdrawal. I could have withdrawn 0.12 btc if I have paid for the upgrade (assuming they are not scam), but I did not risk my money, instead, I bought bitcoin directly for holding. I found out after few googling that this site (bitminer.io) is not really paying, and has bad reviews, not trusted. I consulted scamadviser.com for more opinion,  found out: 1.) website owner hides his/their identity. 2.) detected malware in the site 3.) reviews-poor reputation. So it really served me well when I did my research, I was spared for the head-ache, and loss of money.

Well they are in the investors based games section on the forum so what did you really expect to happen to those bitcoins that you sent?
To magically multiple into double the amount for doing absolutely nothing?
Come on now.

If you're actually scammed by the site, this is the best section for it to be.Do you have any other proofs though ? Transactions ? Screenshots ? From the website's name, one can easily jump to the conclusion that it is a ponzi/hyip.

Yes, i have other proofs. I'll post them when i have time.

Hello,
my friend told me about bitminer.io.
He sayed to me "The Site is paying"
So I tested it.
I have waited a few days and then i made a withdraw.
I was waiting 35 days, and then the money is in my wallet.
It was a big surprise for me because it works.  Shocked
Then, i have payed $100 for an upgrade.
I have waited again, and ...
0.05BTC are in my wallet!  Shocked
I trusted the site so much that i created 3 Paper-Wallets,
log in and i have bought me upgrades in worth of $15000.
Bitminer became more and more serious now they had opened a company. You see this at "Contacts" in the Navigation.
I was paid a total of 500 dollars on all 3 wallets.
Now they don't payout anymore, and i lost all my money.  Sad
I am a victim of this sh*t,
PLEASE DO NOT GET SCAMMED!

Bitminer: bitminer.io
Sorry for my bad english!

UPDATE: They do not react to my emails. Sad
UPDATE²: The "company-info" is stolen from bitminer.eu because the names are very similar.
