That’s why we should practice bookmarking sites that we always used to avoid these types of scams. Google is so unsafe most especially to the new users they get easily tricked by this. I think Google should improve the security of their search engine, meanwhile users should always stay vigilant and educate themselves in using the internet.
It is hard work for Google because they need to update their code to prevent the result, which is useless for people to show.
But maybe we also need to use filter the result that comes in the search engine, not just in Google, Yahoo, and other search engines.
Bookmarking the site that we often visit will help us prevent us from searching from the search engine, which can lead us to scam websites.
Always be careful and double check everything before we do something.

The simplest thing we can do is to avoid searching some sites using google because there are so many sites including the phising one pops up whenever we try to search those legit ones and we should go to their Ann thread or bookmark the real to avoid any confusion which could lead to get affected by those fake sites. And this is a wake up call since I'm sure many forgot that this phising attacks still exist.
When it is about crypto gambling sites that we want to play, it is enough for us to use this forum to search for that site to avoid the scamming that can happen to us.
The gambling site that we got from here can be a good source for us because the site and the member will always help people find a recommended gambling site.
We hope people out there can visit here to find a good gambling site, especially if they want to use crypto to playing gambling.
Even if people have trouble playing gambling on that site, they can visit the ANN thread and ask the @OP to help them.

3 days have been passed but google hasn't taken down the phising site yet until now
What is google taking this so long. Before, when they are phishing sites that are reported to them, they are taking it down immediately.
But this time, they should take it down quick because they've received reports already.

Since it registered its domain on Namecheap might as well reported it also to Namecheap it's a violation of their TOS, Google is still making money from the ads and Google will just let it served all the ads budget before they do action, it's faster on Namecheap than Google's adwords.

Adding adblock, or not using google aren't best way to prevent this phising site because not all people aware with that. We need to make sure all people won't be falling to this scam even though they are really new in gambling

Google is taking time to take down scams. The spelling is obvious but still it can victimized those newbies that are not fully aware about the real bustabit.
That’s why we should practice bookmarking sites that we always used to avoid these types of scams
To us, we can easily caught them but to the newbies like those gamblers from the traditional casinos that are just migrating through crypto. They're likely the ones that will become a victim of this and I think they're the main target of these scam/phishing casino sites.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Good catch. I wonder why Google still promote such obvious scams for a few dollars on their search results. It feels as if the internet's biggest search engine doesn't care about internet users encountering malicious websites advertised by them. I remember back in 2017, most exchanges have phishing sites wherein if you search their name on Google, it will return you a sponsored website with a few letters edited to imitate the original website. If Google really is against illegal activities, they should also filter ads application for their search results, and not accept applications immediately.
Google is so big that the only way to get anything done is with bots, they cannot let a human do a review otherwise the process will take forever, which is why we must always be on or guard, we must always assume there are scammers trying to get our coins, and while this may seem to be too paranoid it is not when it is true, as such it is important to exercise caution, if you want to find the real website of any casino you can do so in the forum, then bookmark the website and once you do that you can be sure that you will be safe from phishing sites.

Such ads should never be allowed, no matter the reason for allowing them. They are clearly deceiving people.
I think it's a bit too easy to blame the problem on Google.

How is Google supposed to check the legitimacy of their ads in a meaningful and, above all, cost-efficient way?
It could well be that someone launched a page "bastabit.com" and operates a functional and legitimate online casino there. For such checks, simple technical possibilities are not sufficient, Google would have to invest a lot (!) of money to earn less in the end because certain ads are not shown.

-> I think that is utopian.
Of course!
AI  and all we - all so stupid that he doesn't understand when one letter is replaced for phishing, and even then it looks like, for example,
u ---> a
It's ridiculous that  of normal people buying a domains with a normal business will deal with a such forgery?

I guess the site appeared as Ad on search results.   Sometimes I wonder why proper investigation aren't done before allowing such ads on top of search results.

I think it will be important that the real site gets enough people to reports the one using its name to Google. Perhaps the site will be penalized for trying to pretend to be another.
It's the same thing when you are looking for an exchange and search it in Google . as long as google just lets the scammer use them using ads. the phishing of those people will continue I just wish Google do their job and review every ads  first before they accept the ads.so ,that there are no more victims and there are also many beginners who can be fooled by that simple tricks.

If they are fooled/scammed, some will probably blame it on it on the real sites.

Such ads should never be allowed, no matter the reason for allowing them. They are clearly deceiving people.

We will understand if they react like that on the real site since they are convince that they are get rigged by them but once they understand that they fall on a phising site for sure they will calm their burning heads and move on.

For this case its good thing that once we find a phising sites we immediately report it to avoid any further damage to person who don't know about it.

That's what I'm thinking, in this case it's pretty obvious that it's a scam attempt. What's more, you won't see this page if you have an adblocker installed - or use a browser like Brave
Of course, you can think what you want about Brave, but especially in such cases, the Adblock is worth its weight in gold and protects especially inexperienced users from falling for such ad scams.
i have an adblocker installed on my craptop , maybe thats the reason why i never see a phished ads after using google when searching something but i never thought adblock this great that they also have other purpose not just solely for blocking ads  . as we can see op catch a phished ad and he was using a mobile version of chrome and i think adblocks extensions arent possible in mobile right ? but if we use browsers with built in adblocks on them thatl do the trick and yes brave browsers is one of those . another one i know is opera browsers

I am reading your posts and I am more and more convinced that the monster of the Internet cannot but know that he has a phishing link on the first line in his search.  And this is after the messages of the some users and for 2 days already!!!
How to understand their attitude to the fight against fraudsters???
I think we can report to google that one of the search engine results contains suspicious material that can scam people.
We can hope that Google can respond to this and they will block the site from appearing or even I am sure that Google will be able to deindex the site and kick the site from the search engine.
If Google really to fight against fraudsters, they really need to pay attention to this, and they need to investigate it to find the truth.

We'll know if someone opens a scam accusation in the scam section, this is not the first it happened and it's not going to be the last, they have all the methods available, they just need the right target, and these are newbies who are not aware of these methods used by scammers, the scammers are good in manipulation and they are spending money just look at the design of their site and how they spend their money on adwords.

How? My Adbloker doesn't block any phishing websites. Is there any specific add blocked you use that stops users from accessing shady url's?

The first (organic) result is legitimate, it's just people buy ads to promote malware/phishing/etc and google puts the ad results above the organic results. By using an adblocker, it removes the ads and leaves only the organic results which are legitimate.

So yeah, install an adblocker and encourage non-tech family/friends to do so too. The amount of actively harmful ads google runs is obscene. And google takes so long to take any action (days or weeks), that it's often more practical to encourage people to click the phishing links to blow their advertising budget.

They'll doing it for the sake of business, if you want them to take actions it's needed to have a huge amount of reports to make them work and freeze or cancel anything.

Adblocker surely helps and it's encourage everyone to avoid being hacked or scammed by this kind of operators, it's purposedly done due to popularities of the original owner.

Good catch here for people awareness especially those who are not techy they are prone being victimized.

Why does ad-blocker have anything to do with phishing websites? Not like it's going to block your access to the phishing site. Being privacy-centric and scam free are two different things.

Shouldn't it be obvious to anyone looking to gamble there not to go to a site called "bastabit"? Seriously, you have to be really light-headed to miss that typo because you can even see it on your phone's top bar, it's not like they're using obfuscated punycode.
Why checks typos of the links before opening them? Especially when it comes as the very first search result on something as reputed as Google? Anyone can these mistakes and they're very easy to miss.

Also an adblocker will trivially solve this problem, you can even get Adblock Plus for Google Chrome and Safari on mobile last time I checked.

They don't improve anything!
But you can just teach artificial intelligence.  And if they were seriously concerned about it, they would have done it long ago.  Wouldn't artificial intelligence understand that this is a fake - replacing a symbol in a domain name?  Of course, he will understand - AI not look at symbols with the eyes, like a person, but checks the codes of the symbols, and this is much more reliable.

it's just that google doesn't care what will the ads will show to user even though they are a phishing website by the way as a community member if i saw something like this what could be the ways to report it?

To report abuse directly from a Google Site, click Report abuse at the bottom of the page.

You can always report it so that there wont be people who get victimized with this phishing sites.

This was helpful but still it's much better that the google should avoid in on the very first place. I was curious how many days would it take before they took it off on their ads.

Metawin.com - Truly the best casino ever
Isn't it common nowadays that Google search results with a tag of an "AD" shouldn't be trusted or followed?

Not just in Bustabit but other websites also have an AD version in their search results e.g Roobet, Stake.com, Primedice

It's not that Google isn't taking down those sites but even after they shutdown a page, there will be another one, and so on. Maybe Google should not use automated tools or something for approving a site. They should look at the internal stuff of the said website before allowing it to be placed on their search ads.

For users themselves, we need to use our common sense for this.
How will google be able to filter such websites? How does google know that bastabit is a clone of bustabit? Well, since template is the same, I think they should have a tool that would search websites against phishing or at least they should implement something like Youtube has on copyright claims when they scan the videos and audios. Otherwise, people won't be able to manually check each website and decide whether this is scam or not because they can't collect people who would know every website, so, the manual check is useless.

But the overall rescue will be if people will take care of themselves and do research before doing anything. This is the real problem, people don't look at what they click, google has nothing to do with your carelessness.

Recently I searched Google and it is true that this phishing site is at the front with the word bastabit, but the writing on bustabit is clear if we are not careful then we will fall into the trap.
I think this is a good finding which reminds us that there are now a lot of scamers scattered around and therefore vigilance should be raised again to all of you.

Yo.... OP, even I might have slipped up with that one.... cause it is very close to the original site. I normally type out the sites with the short Url's, but one wrong typo might cost you your coins in that account.

I tell you... these scammers are very clever and you have to double check everything ...when it comes to something where "money" is involved. I actually break a sweat when I have to sweep paper wallets, because there are so many things that can go wrong with a process like that.

In any way, you earned yourself a merit for this one.  Wink

Thanks for this post, I hope it'll help people to be more attentive about which websites they visit. I don't trust the "Ad" results and never check them out, but some people might. Google should take scam more seriously, but it's probably hard to configure an algorhythm that would do scam checks and too expensive to hire people to do these checks. I hope someone will figure out how to train neural networks to spot such websites by checking them against websites with similar names or against the first non-advertised search results, but I guess we're not there yet.

it was also obvious for a gambler that have already heard of this site but for new comers or to those that already heard of it before and forgot it ,  if they decide to comeback they will search it on google because they forgot the exact link .

It is proof that we should be careful when we search through Google or other search engines because the site's list is not always what we want.
I got the same thing as @janggernaut found when I search for something I want, but fortunately, I don't do anything, so I think I can avoid something worst that might happen.
It is better to search for the gambling site from here, especially if it is related to cryptocurrency.
We have many reputable gambling sites and recommend by many members here so that we can avoid scamming.

The first in the search result of google (especially if its only an Ad) doesnt necessarily mean it is the legit site that you're looking for.

Those gamblers who are not taking time to check the right URL of the gambling site that they want to visit has a high chance of ending up in phishing site like this one. Its a must to bookmark the site we usually visit to become certain, well its a basic thing that we should be aware of.

Anyways this is common nowadays and even other gambling sites are not safe to these people who wants to take advantage the gamblers.

Unfortunately, this internet-monster is the leader of user requests.
In 2020,  It takes the biggest advantage in the mobile version of search, but for the desktop version, Google's share is unmatched.  The global desktop market share is 70.60%.
The share of other search engines in the world market:
 Bing - 13.2%
 Baidu - 11.77%
Yahoo - 2.30% of the market.

Google has over 2 trillion searches a year Smiley

And all phishing scams target this search engine, of course.

Its a good catch OP, I also reported the fake gambling site that you have found in google ads.

This is the reason I didn't trust search in google using a search engine, they don't care the users or people who will become a victim because of letting scam ads pay them just because of the money they will get. It's a pure business even though they know that there's perhaps a victim.

I reported also the fake link, I hope everyone will do the same so that google will remove that fake sites. It's better to bookmark the real site than using google search, that's horrible.

There you will have an option to report this advertising. This way Google will know something wrong is ongoing. If few other people also reports it, hopefully Google will remove this ad.
Of course, when a few outraged users report a problem, this monster of the Internet may be able to remove the phishing content.  But the question arises, there they have tens of thousands of employees around the world, that they do not know something, how scammers change letters in domain names.
Is this really news for them !!!   Grin Grin Huh
You might even think that they are not making an effort on purpose to combat this phishing.  Although of course the flow of substitutions is huge, there are also a lot of employees.
We could have put things in order so that people feel comfortable.

I noticed a lot of bustabit phishing site is popping up these days. Dave1 posted a couple of bustabit phishing site a couple of days ago is there something going on that in bustabit that piqued the interest of these scammers?

@OP good catch! also reported the ad to google.

Isn't it common nowadays that Google search results with a tag of an "AD" shouldn't be trusted or followed?
yeah, it is, but sometimes there are people who still don't know the danger behind it. and sometimes some people think that the ad was created by the original website.

I already report it to Namecheap. It should be down very soon.

What is more interesting is many people are clicking blindly and how much money those arsholes are making that they can afford to pay for Google Ads.

BTW if you want to kickback, go to Google and click on the AD and then close the site. It costs them nearly a dollar per click.

I'm maintaining a list of Bustabit phishing site here: Warning: Bustabit phishing site.

Probably the same actor as I have reported a bustabit phishing site that has been taken down already. So they re-create another site to continue with their scamming activity.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Just update your browsers especially Chrome because whenever you're into an obvious site that just opened recently and the site you always open regularly the chrome gives you a notification on the left-side corner of your screens indicating that the site you open isn't the one you open regularly. Usually I try to bookmark sites that I always visits especially gambling, exchange, custodial wallets, etc. that I tend to open on my browser for safety purposes.

Not the case but mostly I tend to ignore those especially if I really know the site but it's really on utmost importance that newbie should always DYOR and not that easily to click links just because it was atop of the search results. I do hope Google could have more extensive AI to detect such obvious scams just by tweaking the domains.

Get your game girl
That's because most of their advertisement process is automated and so is handling the reports if you report that link. Anyone can buy any domain and buy ads from google. Unless someone reports that as a phishing link, they wouldn't care. However, a good antivirus application usually helps by blocking such links in your browser. You can also right-click on a small dropdown next to the ad and report it.
