All centralized wallets like xapo and coinbase can block your account at any point, so it is better to store your bitcoin in SPV wallet like electrum and jaxx where you can have full control over private key of your bitcoin addresses so that nobody can block your bitcoin wallets/accounts for using bitcoin that you own in places where you want to.

Coinbase and xapo is shit.

Add blockchain.info, jaxx and electrum also in your list.

Ages ago Coinbase started blocking accounts which have had gambling transactions. I need to know if this still happens.

For everyone looking for alternatives, they are the only company that I know of which has problems with casino transactions. Any other company will work perfectly.

Please list alternatives if you know them. I will list them here.

Some alternatives:
  • Cubits: VISA, MasterCard, SEPA, Wire Transfer, Sofort, Dotpay, Rapid
  • Kraken: SEPA, Wire Transfer
  • Xapo Asks for identity verification
I heard of it and also our local wallet also does it when you are receiving some money from a gambling sites or having a gambling transaction they would shut down your account,
So every time that I am going to gamble I would use xapo to send and receive my money from the gambling sites,I know some few people who got their wallet closed because of this and lost their money.

If the "wallet" is able to deduce which sites you're sending to and that information is available to them, they wouldn't have much choice but to suspend accounts that are involved in shady legal activity.  The BTC casinos (that I'm aware of) are unregulated entities which are illegal in the US and many other states.

You could use Xapo or Kraken, but they won't work forever because if the information of what you're doing becomes readily available to them and the government comes knocking, they can't do much else.

You can either move your coins to a wallet where you control your private keys, or only buy small amounts at a time and send all your coins to the casino at once.  Other choices are not particularly safe.

Blockchain, counterparty wallets and all the wallets that let you own your private keys have no issues with sending/receiving money from casinos or other gambling websites. Even big exchanges have no such restrictions like liqui, bittrex or cryptopia but they may require verification if big amounts are being sent/received.

The tilte is a little misleading, while there is nothing wrong, it's all written in their User Agreement. Writing "warning" can make people think there is something wrong with coinbase. If people don't follow the rules then it is another thing

Nobody else replied so I will add Xapo.
It can be an alternative for gambling transactions. I've never heard that Xapo blocks accounts for gambling transactions. You only have to be ready that Xapo may ask for id verification, but it's not related to casino transactions. It's just Xapo policy, and users have to know about it.
Thanks for the warning. I will add it to the list of alternatives.

I think XAPO also will never block you for doing transactions with casinos. I did many times in the past from this wallet and never had any issues and they also never send any warning messages as well. After they had introduced transaction fees, I stopped them for using regular transaction because of their high transaction fee.
Thanks, I will add them once other people confirm they haven't had problems with them.
