I like that fact, the number of people who make money in this market is very small compared to the number of people losing money.
The issue is different: in the early days, the purpose of cryptocurrencies "Bitcoin and some Alts" was not to make quick gains "speculation," but to conduct transactions away from the control of governments and central banking systems.

Many people who knew it after the middle of 2017 were motivated economically as the price remained on the rise but the number of people who lost their money is not large compared to those who made gains.

I remember the end of 2017 was impossible to treat because of the high fees and time of confirmations.

Think about it as a change and not an investment.

novices are not recommended to enter

Are you really serious? This statement goes against everything that cryptocurrency stands for. New people SHOULD enter the market irrespective of their experience when it comes to investment.
If everyone was required to be an expert at the subject by default then there would have been no reason for a forum like Bitcointalk to exist.

Indeed, in recent years, cryptocurrencies have been ups and downs, and novices are not recommended to enter. However, the prospect of cryptocurrency should be good. Now you can learn more and participate in some airdrop or bounty projects. Try to invest a small amount of money after you have some understanding of the cryptocurrency.

Life itself is a risk, and any legal or legit investment has a risk tag associated with it,you lost money investing in cryptocurrency, some lost them investing via forex, others via stocks etc, it's inevitable.
But also a while lot of others have gained through the various means I highlighted above, its about doing the right thing through investing with small money,so that in case of losses,it wouldn't be one that'll wreck you.
It's about either profit or loss, its not a one way affair, those coming in,should be aware of that

Investment is about moving the money from poor to the rich some say

No, Investments is about moving money from the patient to the impatient.
Timing is very important, and could be the difference between gains and losses in cryptocurrency Investments.
Just like waves, the market has crests and troughs, some jumped in on the way down and are at huge losses or have already cut their losses.

I'm glad that at least you are trying to educate people from your misadventures but frankly, for every person that had lost money in crypto there are dozens more who made enough money that their entire lives changed.

Be careful, this is a misleading belief.

I agree that many people really have their life's changed by cryptocurrencies boom, but this a small  part of the users and investors. Most of them sold at 100 or at 1000, or 2000, etc.. many of them lost their keys, etc.

Cryptocurrency is a complicated market and very unpredictable. And thousands maybe even millions lost their savings as well. Bitcoin is almost 80% down since ath.

It's not a belief son. It's a fact. Many people have had their lives changed because of Crypto, some made millions, some lost millions, whatever the case may be, cryptos HAVE changed the lives for people for better or worse.
And losing keys, getting hacked, selling too quickly are related to incurable cases of dumbness, unluckiness or trigger-happiness. Its got nothing to do with what I said.

I like that fact, the number of people who make money in this market is very small compared to the number of people losing money. That will help smash some people 's intention of thinking that this market is easy to make money, money never gets easy. But if you lose money and you draw valuable lessons for yourself, I think you will succeed or at least not lose much money in this market.

Investment is about moving the money from poor to the rich some say, and I do believe this kind of thing happens in nearly every investment market.

Ups and downs will come, but tbh crypto still has a long room to grow (or fall). I enter this world in 2017 and I can say I've lost a lot but gains a lot too. Knowledge is more important than money, especially if you enter at the top.

I'd be more inclined to believe that it's the other way around. Lots of people entered the market during the Bitcoin frenzy of 2017, and now Bitcoin is standing around at like 15% of its peak. Heck, pretty much everyone who entered the market since the second quarter of 2017 would have lost money if they held. Not saying they can't keep holding, of course, as I believe the market will bounce back...eventually.

I would be very much interested in hearing about THOSE stories to be honest. We've already got too many doom gloom stories around.

I wouldn't be against this, but one possible reason these are scarce is that they'd rather stay anonymous.

Every one that got into cryptocurrency from 2017 almost felt that this cryptocurrency is where you come and earn easy money.
But the veterans that has been here for more than 5years would know that cryptocurrency market is characterized by Ups and downs.

"I remember it like it was only yesterday when all the coins and tokens were booming and you could get massive gains in every crypto asset you invested. It was the crypto investments bull run of 2017. It all looked so easy and it almost felt like this could go on forever. But it was just a big bluff since I and my friends weren't with a financial background, and only got into cryptocurrencies in May 2017."  Smiley

I did a retrospective article about how I and my friends started our journey in cryptocurrencies.
Also, I added a few pieces of advice learned on the go.  Cool

Please have a read and share what do you think: https://bestcoininvestments.com/warning-dont-even-think-about-crypto-investments-until-you-read-this/

Also, if you have a story of how you got into crypto, don't hesitate to share it in this thread!  Roll Eyes
