Scammers are now spending money because they are making tons of money from scamming people and this new Google ads way of scamming people is very scary we have hundreds of thousands of people even millions using a search engine for results and with the way the ads are place they could click those scam ads, Google should be made aware of this so they can fix it.

Maybe the advertisement is just there kind of investment because in that way they could easily reach a thousand or even millions of people on the internet easily and it is probably worth it investing that money in ads on google. Somehow we all know that google is a legit company and for sure beginners are going to trust google at some point leaving them trying to click some of the phishing websites in the ads of google so maybe blocking google ads is a good way to prevent clicking this links. Also, I see a lot of issues in this Exodus wallet thing also hacking accounts is their thing online from what I see online.

...

No, they don't spend on Google ads we can actually get free $100 coupons there for free to advertise on search engine and some blog sites.

Look at this list of free coupons for Google and Bing Ads below.

And I'm sure they also use the bing ads to advertise Phishing sites.
...

I didn't know they can make this kind of attacks for free, this sounds like a bad joke, so, at least they have to pay for the domain, because the free hosting is easy to get.

These free coupons are great even for businesses who sell this kind of service, i will recommend it to some local friends on their marketing business, thanks for sharing the link.

Let us hope that no user has been victimized by these scammers. Sometimes people will think that the site is legit because it shows up as google ads. However, if you are a responsible user, you will check first the authenticity of the sites especially that there are a lot of phishing websites these days.
The problem is, some people aren’t responsible enough to check the differences in URLs, incautious browsing leads into this type of problem. Some of them are not aware of how risky it is for their personal data and that’s why they should educate themselves about how a phishing scam works. It may seem legitimate, but by checking the spelling, you can clearly see the difference between those sites. It is also the reason why people suggest to employ a secure browser because those kinds of ads are dangerous.

If you are not aware of this you are in deep trouble, Google ads has become one of a tool used by scammers to perpetuate their activities it's not only Exodus all the other wallets too, they create ads on their clone site and advertise it on Google ads and on Facebook ads.

Rule of the thumb when downloading a software, application and wallet only go for the official website and always check if you are landing on the right website, to do this always check for the right spelling in the url.

We can repeat this countless times, but such things should be learned long before someone becomes interested in something like cryptocurrencies. The level of basic computer literacy even in some developed countries is very low, let alone the rest of the world - sometimes it seems to me that AdBlock is something hidden, difficult to access or has to be paid to be used given how much internet users use this add-on.

uBlock Origin for Firefox has only 4 413 022 users which may maybe a good number, though it seems to me to be very small compared to all those who use that browser.

Stop using Google to find the website of exchanges, services, or wallet.

Stop following random links without checking the URL.

Start using uBlock Origin.

Never type your seed in anywhere.

How many times does this need repeated?

Hey! thanks for the heads up

Since now days scammers are using Google ads to rank scam websites above those genuine website it is better to click any advertisements related to cryptocurrencies on Google. I personally avoid it and always use Brave browser to browse safely on the internet, you can too if you want to keep yourself safe.

It is obviously unranking the real website because this criminals are willing to pay money just to get their phishing website on top of Google's page. Not just Exodus, but you can see there is another entry for Atomic Wallet again.

Always report them to Google phishing page from this link below
- https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

Google will temporarily disable the keyword they use on the SERP so no one could use the keyword again(If someone planning to use it again for phishing) and remove these phishing sites on the SERP.

Google Ads policies

Welcome to the Google Advertising Policies Center.

We want to support a healthy digital advertising ecosystem—one that is trustworthy and transparent, and works for users, advertisers, and publishers. The purpose of this website is to help you build Google Ads campaigns that align with our advertising policies listed below. These policies are designed not only to abide by laws but to ensure a safe and positive experience for our users. This means that our policies prohibit some content that we believe to be harmful to users and the overall advertising ecosystem.

We use a combination of automated and human evaluation to ensure Google Ads comply with these policies. However, if you observe any ads that may violate our policies, please report those ads here

https://support.google.com/adspolicy/answer/6008942?hl=en

So combination of human and automation evaluation? Of course this criminals, can hide or cloak their ads, but at least Google should check it again once they are going to displayed it.
