Ive seen this project and almost got ape but seeing the team and its content, I'm sure it only bounded by hype at first. Pretty sure the result wouldn't end up like usual shitcoin that goes to the moon.

There are already many scams in the crypto industry and soon these kind of projects would be go to zero as only use case projects will be retain once bear markets arrived.

Since the first day the token was launched, it has been stated in our group content at the entrance of our website that "Facebook Metaverse is a project inspired by Mark Zuckerberg". The same warning is also present in our cmc listing. How can you claim that this is deceiving people?

It has 60,000 owners, you insult these 60 thousand people, do you realize?

What a fucking inspiration! You already scam 60 thousand people. You just made them fool by the plagiarised whitepaper. They really don't know you steal content from others and fill your pocket. You already insulted them and their faith. OP didn't insult them, rather than he is helping them to know the truth. This isn't a good defense at all.

Guy's current meta HYIP is quite dangerous. Many scammers will fill their pockets this way. Just be careful when you are investing in any meta projects.

You ripped off everything even though you're in no way associated with Facebook or Zuckerberg. Of course it's deceptive and of course that's how you're trying to make money with it. One vague note isn't gonna cut it. If you didn't want it to be deceptive you could have called it "Snow Crash" or "Completely Useless New Token" and see how many idiots you can convince to give you money for that.

There is a nice little review of the 'Facebook Metaverse Token' project by the popular youtuber The Rubicon Show: Facebook Meta-Token Million Dollar SCAM (Exposed)

"The Crypto world is full of scams just like the infamous bitconnect or Squid Game token. Stay vigilant be aware and you'll be safe and be careful of crazy price manipulation. "

Both what Fatfork and dkbit98 said above this post, and this thing called copyright infringement. Facebook and Meta has their IP protected by law, within them, I am sure, are their logo and name, which you conveniently use without permission to lure people.

So let's say you're somewhat legit... we are talking hypothetically here, so let's say you're legit, you copied their materials by accident, a lazy person you hired copied their materials without you knowing about it, and so on, and so on, and so on, you know, the classic excuses, but lets say that hypothetically in spite of all of those lame excuses your projecr is real and legit. Still, at one point you'll face lawsuit by Facebook, you close your project, and leave your... 60,000 holders at loss.

And, let's talk about technical, ohh... I love this part. Below is your tokenomy allocation taken from your site [archived]

Come on, are you seriously not knowing how a piechart and percentage works? It's been introduced in elementary grade math.

Flag supported.
I think that I am slowly developing allergic reaction to anything related with facebook/metaverse including this lame facemeta token scheme.
Inspired by something doesn't mean that it's ok to steal their text, use it for your own project and do plagiarism.

Does 60,000 ''owners'' also own all premined tokens or is it just you and your friends?

Since I'm not the one who created the scam token with a plagiarized white paper, I certainly don't understand your logic that my actions insult anyone in any way.

What happened: FACEBOOK METAVERSE TOKEN is yet another fake project with plagiarized content in the whitepaper. Furthermore, they (illegally) use a registered trademark and Facebook Metaverse hype to lure naive and inexperienced people into buying their scam tokens.

The term “metaverse" is the latest buzzword to capture the tech industry's imagination — so much so that one of the best-known internet platforms is rebranding to signal its embrace of the futuristic idea.

WHAT IS THE METAVERSE?

Think of it as the internet brought to life, or at least rendered in 3D. Zuckerberg has described it as a “virtual environment” you can go inside of — instead of just looking at on a screen. Essentially, it’s a world of endless, interconnected virtual communities where people can meet, work and play, using virtual reality headsets, augmented reality glasses, smartphone apps or other devices.
It also will incorporate other aspects of online life such as shopping and social media, according to Victoria Petrock, an analyst who follows emerging technologies.

WHAT WILL I BE ABLE TO DO IN THE METAVERSE?

Things like go to a virtual concert, take a trip online, and buy and try on digital clothing.
The metaverse also could be a game-changer for the work-from-home shift amid the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of seeing co-workers on a video call grid, employees could see them virtually.
Facebook has launched meeting software for companies, called Horizon Workrooms, to use with its Oculus VR headsets, though early reviews have not been great. The headsets cost $300 or more, putting the metaverse’s most cutting-edge experiences out of reach for many.

What a joker (or group of jokers, who knows).

It figures that when something like Fuckerberg's metaverse is all over the news that someone would try to use crypto as a medium with which to scam, and that's exactly what's going on with this "project".  And even if they didn't plagiarize all of those words, what's the point of this scheme anyway?  Right now the metaverse hasn't gone live (has it?), and I don't think there's anything as far as ICOs or any other crypto-related thing that would benefit anyone at this point.

At best, it's a cash-grab for Facemeta.  At worst, it's a scam designed to steal people's money--this isn't 2018, and we all know the sordid history of ICOs.

Good eyes on this one, OP.  I've tagged that fucker.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Actually I've prepared this thread but there is a rush that keeps me active from mobile and not publishing it but the OP has made this finding quicker and nicer to remind them.

Since it became 1500% hype many investors are stuck in this FACEMETA token and I'm not sure it will last long as their goal is to make a profit (I feel sure) it could be that this is just taking a name with FACEMETA which they think will boom.

Sometimes people don't think about the investigation.

Online scammers are waiting for another hot trending item to hit the market which will be used by scammers to scam investors. After the announcement of Facebook, everyone could have guessed that such a fake project would come in the market, and this is because a fake project has already come in the market. You saved a lot of crypto investors from being scammed by exopseing this project, which is a very good thing.

You have done a good job, I hope you will continue this good work.

Ah, C'mon FatFork. You ruined all their hard work in just a few minutes. That's not a fair dude. Let them scam something from the people. LOL.

Anyways, Good Catch Fatfork. The Internet is full of Scam projects. People should do some research before engaging with such a project. Look what they did here. It's pretty easy to catch them if you are careful a bit. They Plagiarized the Whitepaper. The First failure of this Scam project was the Name. They named it Facebook metaverse. Oh, Seriously? Facebook created their token and they didn't announce it anywhere but only on the Bitcointalk forum? With a New account that didn't even buy Copper membership? Oh, sad for him. Bad try. FatFork and other Forum police will kick you out Smiley xD
