It really is funny to see some ANNs use stock photos for their respective team members.

I remember ICOpress reporting tons and tons of ANNs last 2018-2019 and I even asked him for tips on how he would do it. It is somehow sad to see that he is not active on the community but his legacy remains forever.

I am a firm believer that if a person shares something on this forum, they have the responsibility to check whether the project is a scam or not. Before they share it, they should have confirmed it first before posting it since this affects everyone in the forum should a person invest in such project.

This is a good find, and I'm also on the fence as to whether the promoter account should be tagged... Perhaps your post in that thread is the end of it... The thread will never gain any traction now.

It is kind of amazing that 1018367 could talk somebody into hiring them to promote here, years after the ICO wave has passed.

He's also using AI to write his forum marketing materials for him, but mods don't seem to be deleting AI posts that are written by non-sig campaigners, so I'm not reporting it.

Once a project was caught using fake images as their developers, that's the end of their journey, all the projects that were caught tried to defend their project but nothing worked because a legit project will not post fake images, whitepaper, or roadmap.

It's easy to catch fake and scam projects, they fake everything, they hire shills and they do pump and dump, if all investors just see this there will be fewer scam projects, and scammers are encouraged to launch fake projects because they are still getting investors to invest in their project.

No matter how much time advances, you will find that scammers still rely on primitive scam methods, which were effective in the past. Many may be familiar with these methods by now, but they use them to target beginners who are still new to the cryptocurrency field. They do this by posting stock images of well-known personalities or popular images in search engines, with the aim of attracting them to invest in their token project.

To be fair, they didn't claim that Elon is part of the team but instead that project is inspired by "Elon Musk's youngest engineer", hence the picture of Elon and that kid on the image.

He may have protected people on bitcointalk, but that makes just a tiny portion of altcoin market meaning many will fall for this scam nevertheless as I see KairanX will have sale on PinkSale (launchpad).

Stock images are a 100% scam project.

Most people hopping on one of these sites will never bother to do reverse image searches or plagiarism checks on the website text. The result is that they get scammed off their hard earned income. Hence educating new investors about scams and how they operate is essential for them to survive in this sector.

Also on of the reasons why I insist people to contact the person listed on team on Linkedin and check if they actually are involved and not that their image was used on the site without their permission.

We need to be careful on how we easily trust some of these influencers, organizations and other fast rising platforms they always make vain promises, do you think someone like Elon Musk will like to geopardize with his reputation by having something to do with such people, if at all he's having an intention, he would rather stand on his own and work independently than having a collaboration that can tarnish his integrity, scammers are cloning organizational websites, profiles and other valuable information they've got to attack innocent people and we must always be on a lookout.

Hehe, These are readymade templates. They just unzipped a script and installed it to run their business. At least we should say thanks to them because they did not write lorem ipsum dolor sit amet on their website. Anyways, there is no reason to trust these projects as they are not serious in their business and don't want to show their real team. It's better not to show any pictures instead of showing fake stock pictures as a team member. if you talk about ignoring the message, I do not see any reason for them to reply you unless they have any valid excuse. They are not here to build a reputation anyway.

They even use the picture of Elon Musk to make it appear that he has something to do with the project, once a project was caught using fake images of their team that should have been the end of their journey, we have seen projects defending their project and they want to be Satoshi that hides their identity but it's different because they are launching crowdfunding.
If you're launching a crowdfunding investors have the right to know who will they trust for their money, people should dig deep into the project they are spending their money on.
