Sh*t! That is really scary. I would have downloaded that if I see it. The first mycelium seems legit-looking in the name of the app and the logo. I really wonder if google play store even scans these programs. Or maybe they only scan lines of codes that might affect the android system itself.

- Could you list them in groups by the wallets they want to fake, please.
- Add Status: Active, Shut down. The status is helpful. Active can be highlighted with Red color.
- If you only list topics in Beginners & Help, you will miss many fake apps. Scam accusations can give more reports on fake apps.
Sorry for late response and thanks for your suggestion. In fact, this list needs to be made more informative. But I have two exams every week. So I can't make time.  But I will definitely try to make it more informative later.

This is why until now I'm not using some application, especially the crypto wallet in my phone, yes it is convenient and easy, but one mistake will lose everything that hard-earned over the years,

Good to see that one of my content is part of this thread thumbs up to you OP. I just want to suggest some on this thread.

1. You can add like a changelog; I see those mostly to the threads keeping an update to prevent too much spam.
For example :
Code:
12/12/2020 - Fake electrum(Added)

It's better if we are going to verify first that application we are planning to use to prevent phishing and issues with our funds.

Also, I saw a related on this which is mycelium you can add this too.

Good initiative, but I have few suggestions that will make this list a abit more organized, therefore easier to use:
  • Sort the reports chronologically because in the current state I see no logical order
  • Add the date of thread creation
  • Mark the current status (whether fake wallet/app has been removed from the PlayStore or not)
Thank you very much for your great suggestion. I will try to organize this list later.

I believe there are more fake apps on Google store right now than what OP listed for us on here,
You are absolutely right. I also got a fake app on Google playstore yesterday. I will add it to this list. If you search in Google playstore, you will find many such fake apps. We need to be more careful about this.  If we need any app, we must download it from the official website.

I believe there are more fake apps on Google store right now than what OP listed for us on here, not just crypto wallet apps are been cloned on google playstore, some are cloned to spy on what users are doing or typing on their phones, I as a person have already given up on google play store, now I download apps through official websites instead, I suggest that everyone starts doing the same
Yes, there are far more fake or cloned apps than listed by OP and I hope OP continues to update the list based on suggestions and when discovered, it would go a long way to it's publicity.
Google play store should really be more security involved in it's hosting services as it's supposed to be a trusted source for downloading applications and sadly, the reverse is the case with the minions of complaints on these fake or cloned apps.

Downloading apps from the official website is by far the best way to be sure of the authenticity of the app your installing on your device but before you do this, you've got to be sure of the website too as there are also cloned and fake websites these days too.

Don't press.

A few days ago, I had no doubts about the security of the Google Play Store. But for the last few days I have been seeing hundreds of fake apps filled the Play Store. This is like a sanctuary for scammers.  By downloading these fake apps, many people are facing various problems including losing funds.  Various members of the forum are warning us again and again to keep us safe from these scammers. This is my small initiative to expedite their warning.
