Good to see OP flagging plagiarised projects. That's how we may create a fair environment around the forum. Those who don't know about their vision and mission just copy-paste from others they are literally scammers. The excuse is pretty old and all the projects show the same excuse when they are caught. So for now, at least scammers will not get any investors from the forum.

However, seems OP needs only 35 merits to become Legendary. So I did it. Let's enjoy, congrats OP. Keep up your contribution.

The white paper is supposed to explain to us what the project is all about, what problems you are trying to solve and how you are planning to solve them in details. It's like the identity of the project so it's supposed to be unique.
A plagiarized white paper should be seen as a big red flag every potential investor and I don't think blaming the copyrighter is going to work here because you (as project owners) had to read the wp before publishing it.
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make us feel safe.
I think it's your potential customers who need some reassurances to feel safe not you.

Because not everyone is a writer, hiring a white paper writer is not a bad idea or a sign that the project is bogus. These writers only work with the ideas that project core members offer to them; what the writer does is put it into a good write up, improve the sentences, and maybe add one or two ideals and pictures.
It's one thing to hire someone to proofread your whitepaper and sort grammar mistakes etc (that's actually the smart thing to do) and a completely different thing to hire someone to write your whitepaper from scratch, even if core members share the idea. The way I see it, if you don't have anyone on your team that can explain your project and write even a basic whitepaper that tells me that your team ain't that good at all and project will most likely fail.

I've worked on many projects and have used 1-2 writer services in the past. They are not to be blamed.
Did any of those projects survived for a couple of years? And who exactly is not to be blamed, team or those writers that usually copy/paste text from others?

It is still their responsibility about the mess that they’ve created right now. I just don’t know why they can’t write themselves instead of hiring someone who can do it without guarantees or promises that everything is original and not copied elsewhere. The MPLAZA metaverse project is still held accountable for it no matter what reason do they have for us.

And on top of that, they didn’t take their time to double or triple check the whitepaper for possible duplicates that would result to plagiarism (in which the whitepaper was indeed plagiarized). Yes lesson learned indeed, but it doesn’t change the fact that plagiarism is still a very serious offense not just here in the forum, but in all walks of life.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
Thank you for bringing this to our notice. It was very unprofessional on our part, and this shouldn't have happened. We will surely learn from our mistake.
Could have tried to prevent this from happening in the first place if you had a legitimate project to go public with.

We have gone ahead and added the source link which we used for reference in our whitepaper. Also, we have removed the irrelevant plagiarized content. Additionally, we have taken the necessary steps with our copywriter to ensure this doesn't happen again.
That does not change the fact that the document was initially copied from another project's whitepaper and therefore is fraudulent.

Adding a source link is like saying that Apple created a project while Adobe put up a "

This is not the first time that we have encountered copy-pasted whitepapers and they have all been scams.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
This thread will never be deleted, for me plagiarism has no tolerance at all it's a mistake that shouldn't happen, but your team is plagiarizing someone's work without a unique idea from your project, do you just want to take profit for granted so that you don't think about the idea for a Whitepaper at all?

You confidently copied 90% of someone else's idea and passed it off as your own on your whitepaper and called it a mistake? If you can copy a simple white paper, there must be other things you're doing wrong that need to be exposed.

I just went through the entire whitepaper and couldn't find any citations; I understand that every idea comes from somewhere, but there has to be a value added idea to the previous work to distinguish it from the original, so I'm asking you now! What distinguishes your project from the others from which you plagiarized their idea?

This post will remain unlocked until the right thing is done; I see you're also running a bounty, so I'll think about it more before taking any further action.

Have read this part a hundred times if your team has done their assignment and if you have good project plagiarism will never cross your mind it's unprofessional and never tolerated

Too late to regret it there's no second time for plagiarism we consider projects that copy other project's whitepaper as dubious project

This doesn't solve a thing.
You've just proved you're unable to add a text of your own in the whitepaper and you just credited the sources, it's like a thief acknowledging from where he stole the goods from, you think everyone should be walking free after that because of a confession?
The only thing that is proven here is that you have no concept, no idea of your own and that your team has actually paid somebody to write a whitepaper because you are unable to, a thing that looks even worse than copying paragraphs and plagiarism.

It doesn't work like that around here, fortunately.

Furthermore, your "bounty manager" is a guy that was tagged for doing the same shit one month ago, so he will get another one again.
