In addition to Pancake, Cream also encountered the same problem.
I see it as a serious problem because it directly affects the user.
Yesterday after joining IDO, everyone was shocked by this unfortunate problem.

yeah, I saw the news everywhere, on the groups, on their Twitter account as well. It's stated that several of DeFi projects are under DNS hijack attack. People be expected to be careful and avoid accessing them for now until further announcement. Every day scammers are trying to find a safety gap to stole people's money from crypto. They know cryptocurrencies are a big deal. I hope each project can solve this kind of crime and anticipate it so it won't happen again in the future.

DNS attacks can be anywhere even on a centralized exchange.

The hacker will try to redirect the phishing website using a DNS attack while you are visiting the real website like Pancake or the website who got attack on DNS attack. Yes, this is more dangerous and hard to find about the attack while you are a user who don't know some information like this from statement official resource. You can be the victim before pancake make some tweet or announcement, because you are visiting the real website like example clicking from bookmark but cannot safe you from this attack because the real website will redirect you to phising website by DNS attack.

I heard this pancake last week and been reviewed on this one, it is because one of the coin that I have in my wallet has been listed to this Dex platform, and I was annoyed due to it was really confusing to me to use it, and because of I was mad at it, my interest to use this platform was certainly gone. It is not really safe to use of most of the DEX platform exchange and poor to those who have still assets on pancake, wish and hope that you can still recover them all.

This is the drawback of DeFi platform. Right now, it seems they are vulnerable to outside attacks. Now, how can you trust this type of platform to invest your hard-earned money? You have no idea if one day, your funds are gone because of these hackers. And the platform itself can't return the funds to you. This is why platform like Binance, which has insurance in place, is somewhat safe to use.

Thanks, I've also seen a post on Facebook about this. Don't deposit any amount or it could potentially lose as it's being attacked. I think this is now the start of going into a better platform that's the same as pancake.  Undecided

thank you for the information provided by the OP, after I read this thread I immediately found out the truth about this news and it's true what the OP said if now there are two projects from BSC that have indeed received DND phishing attacks, namely pancakes and also Cream Finance, and the target from these phishing attacks to get the private key of the user's metamask connection attempts. for now it is better not to access pancakes or cream finance until there is information from their official media.

It is important that PancakeSwap's smart contracts are not hacked. Only the front end of the website is affected by this attack.

A similar service called Cream Finance said earlier today that its DNS was also "compromised by a third party." At the same time, PancakeSwap's Twitter account confirmed that it had been attacked through the same mechanism.

"DNS hijacking" is when hackers redirect website traffic to a malicious server; in this case, the "hijacked site" was after user account credentials.

Yes I saw it on pancakeswap Official Twitter and Telegram. What happened to pancakeswap? Has pancakeswap hijacked?

📣
Please don't Give seed phrase or private key to anyone .

Looks similar to the infamous etherdelta hack, a similar style of attack that is based on the likely only vulnerability of the chain: the endpoint interface. I wonder how many funds have been stolen. Etherdelta was a very small DEX, but breaking into a BSC established project is a different animal.
