Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
I tried to open it now but I can't access the link that I manually type on my browser tab.  It might that the ad was already taken down by Google.
Yes, probably. Actually, lots of google ad like this I see when I'm using mobile browser since chrome doesn't have ad blocker unlike on firefox on desktop I used.

The best thing to do is to not use a search engine. Directly type the URL into your browser, this way you eliminate the risk of this type of scam.
It might work, but I doubt newbies will do something like that since most of them are not familiar or doesn't have any idea the correct website url especially on their first attempt to search.

See after I tried typing "blockchain" in the search engine, there were 2 different but the same blockchain phishing sites pointing to the main site phishing.

If you're using a desktop browser I suggest to use uBlock Origin ad blocker to avoid this kind of ads on google.

Not really, you know, not everyone knows the exact URL of a website to enter. Especially for newbies, who can read about Electrum somewhere and do a search, chances are they will be fooled. Obviously, that ad is targeting newbies and those who don't know much about Electrum. A damn ad!
Search results appear differently for each country. Therefore, I think that each country will have different risks, it is best to learn carefully before using.
For me, there are no similar ads when entering this keyword.

This good finding is to remind beginners when doing a search on google about the wallets they use, they must be really careful, sometimes the ads above always attract those who don't know and try to click on them, and in the end they will get caught up in ad phishing and hope this thread brings them a lot of awareness.

It's true that we have to avoid search engines because this will lead to phishing sites.
Type in much better sites or bookmark it yourself.

Anyway, it might also good if you will move this into the Beginners & Help board and there might newbies who will aware of this kind of trap.

My advice to them is, be careful in clicking ads on Google, it must on the official website.  Much better if you will ask for ideas or have research on any forum websites that can be asked regarding a legit website to store your crypto assets.

Sneaky bastards, good find & kudos for reporting it. I like to think I’d never fall for anything like this but if you’re tired or complacent it could be a horror story.

Thanks for alerting the community buddy.

Just want to warn everyone especially newbies about this malicious google ad and phishing website of blockchain.com wallet using TRAVELERRANDS.COM domain.

This ad shows while I used "electrum wallet" using mobile browser. And idk how long does it running and how many newbies was fooled.

Ad already reported to google I hope they take down this immediately.
