I think TalkStar meant immature in the sense of not being experienced with cryptocurrency, regardless of actual age.

Yeap,,,you are right and got my point. I am actually not talking about investors age where they have lack of experience in the field of crypto currency related investment. Scammers know much better than us that who have minimum knowledge about ponzi/Hyip they will not gonna invest a single cent on their platform.

Basically scammer's actual target is new crypto users who have started their journey with crypto recently and they know that its pretty much easier to make them fool just by showing unrealistic return plans.

I will suggest all newbies to keep enough distance from this kinda money stealing trap. Stay alert, stay safe.

Many of them who are going to get scammed with this horrible attempt are going to be pretty mature in terms of age.
I guess that depends on what age range you consider "mature".  I seriously doubt these shithead DeFi scammers (formerly shithead ICO/IEO scammers) are going after the elderly, unless they're cold-calling people trying to solicit investment money--which I'm pretty sure they're not.  I think TalkStar meant immature in the sense of not being experienced with cryptocurrency, regardless of actual age.

Whatever the case may be, you are correct about this:
1. Copying whitepaper is a sure shot indicator of a scam,
2. Mining is no longer profitable for even big mining farms with the drop in block subsidy after this year's halving comparing the rising difficulty.
But the "immature" targets of these scammers aren't likely to read whitepapers or know much about mining, which is why these plagiarized whitepapers and other sketchy new projects need to be exposed (on this forum at least) and let's just hope potential investors find the red flags before sinking money into any of this crap.  And there will be more of it.  Lots more.

So always everywhere is DeFi? It does not matter in a good place or in a bad place.
Yeah, and I find that to be quite unfortunate because it seems like there's some potential for good things to happen with DeFi, as opposed to ICOs which were nothing but crap across the board.  If people aren't able to tell the difference between a scam and a legitimate project because of all the scam attempts, it's the legit projects that are going to take a beating that they're not entitled to.

OP good find regarding their whitepaper.
If you see my post history you will see that I also reported them before: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scam-tetherdefi-5260422
So I am not surprised at all to see them again in Scam Accusations.

So always everywhere is DeFi? It does not matter in a good place or in a bad place. Everywhere crypto-related place DeFi is now highlighted. Scammers are also trying to highlight them with DeFi. And Yes it's our duty to stop them if they come to scam in this forum. Some people are doing a really good job by catching some newly launched scam/fake projects. I really salute them. Good Job man, keep it up.

Now the DeFi trend is being misused especially by scamers now a lot of catches about the DeFi project they continue to offer and in the end it's just nonsense they do and this is clearly a scam project trying to trick a lot of people with the name Tether I think this is just fooling for them .
Regardless of what you catch it is good because it has faster capture so I will support the flag for scamer.

Scammers are always waiting for new trends to come. Because when new trends come, people pay more attention to that. By doing this, they can come up with a new scam at a time when people can easily believe it.

People are not fully aware, so they are victims of various scams every day. So to warn them, scam projects should be exopse in this way. OP you did a good job. If you exopse the scammers in this way, they will not have the courage to come up with a new scam project next time.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
lot of users are joining this hype and uniswap now are full of crap tokens.
Actually Uniswap is a good option for some older tokens that have gone up with this alt season. It does add in these crap tokens too but dont forget that the developers ran a funding privately for the platform on Uniswap and they got a really good funding there. That is the proper way to run a business in this ecosystem here, by blurring the borders and giving people what they want.

It is not the job the DEX to show what is a scam and what is not. They are here to help exchange a class 1poop with class 2poop  Grin Grin

just trying to earn profit but i dont think many of those traders will walk away happy once this DeFi hype is over.
There will be people walking away happy. They are one who promote the scams and get paid for it or be scammers themselves. Roll Eyes

Actually they have added both project together and making cross promotion on both to attract immature investors.
Ah come on now. Many of them who are going to get scammed with this horrible attempt are going to be pretty mature in terms of age. Point is that people dont do their own research before putting money into something. They get swayed by any promise made to them and often it is not a choice for them, but peer pressure from other fools who are probably close friends and have blindly invested in them.

I have a seen a number of older generation users get scammed by these projects just because some friend told them about the future of the project and they put in a lot of their savings.

Two things that users need to know:
1. Coping whitepaper is a sure shot indicator of a scam,
2. Mining is no longer profitable for even big mining farms with the drop in block subsidy after this year's halving comparing the rising difficulty.

of course they need to ride the hype while the iron is hot. so they have no time to make their own whitepaper, need to copy someone's work to make it on time for the party! the problem is, a lot of users are joining this hype and uniswap now are full of crap tokens. just trying to earn profit but i dont think many of those traders will walk away happy once this DeFi hype is over.

This guys are trying to make investors fool with another one project; https://cmskmining.com. I have already checked their telegram and got nothing but some greedy offers there. They are using one telegram for both project and interesting thing is that both website made with same template and design is almost same. Actually they have added both project together and making cross promotion on both to attract immature investors.

Take a look here,

Flag supported from my end and user profile will be tagged soon.
