Newbie account should not have the right to open a moderated topic.
I think that would be a good alternative to prevent scams from happening.
Mostly newbie acounts launch coin threads and launch them since recently.

Lately a lot of ANN started by newbies or hacked accounts comes with viruses in provided links. Wait until some prominent members of the forum express their opinion before taking any actions.

Or you could just not bother downloading any of these crap coin wallets in the first place. Pointless warning them as newbs will never listen.

Also, there's already far too many cryptocurrencies out there already, 99% of them are utter trash/useless/scams/worthless. And if they are not today, they will be tomorrow, or else definitely 1 month by now.

Don't get into any new cryptos. Its like buying the latest VST synth plugin for your Cubase that you barely took the time to learn how to compose in, not that you had much creativity to begin with.

Best hint for newbies is maybe to use cryptocointalk, litecointalk or other communities with a much lower part of bought "hero-members" accounts along with all these uncountable sock puppy accounts here.

There is also one relatively new scam which promising to double your coins in 100 hours. DO NOT FAILL into that trap either.

P.S. I personally think that the mod should stick one topic with short warning.

Jeezus. I'm really glad I gave up the chase-the-[ANN] game last November.

another suggest, always check new wallets here ----->  https://www.virustotal.com

You can scan links there too.

Always scan a link there before clicking it, although I would advise against links until some prominent members of the forum express their opinion, as the OP says.

good advice.
Noobs need to know to make good management with their coins. Do not invest too much in a single coin.
Lots of lies being told. Noobs need to watch out and learn a lot. Learning costs most of the time so noobs should be adviced not to play too big at first.

Generally: the longer it is around the clearer you'll see what it really is. New coins are ultra-risky whereas older coins are less volatile but also more safe in general.

good luck to the noobs  Cheesy

And never download any wallet, not even BTC wallet, directly onto your machine. Always use a sandbox/virtual machine. Always. And never download a wallet onto a sandbox that already contains a wallet with coin. Make a new instance, or save the wallet.dat and collapse the old instance first.

Just don't download any unknown software to a computer where you deal with sensitive details.

Also, only ever click links in the OP as legitimate coins will have links posted to wallets that  infect your PC and steal your coins
