It must be noted that the wallet is not censoring coinjoin transactions, the coordinator is. The coordinator is a server that builds and manages the coinjoin transaction.

The wallet's default coordinator is the zkSNACKs coordinator, but the wallet allows you to choose any coordinator. The simple solution is to use a different coordinator.

It is hard to fault zkSNACKs for their actions, because the government requires them to take these actions. This is one of the pitfalls of a decentralized system trying to operate in a centralized environment.

Many have reacted on this development in expressing a displeasure to how certain restriction is going to be place in mixing their transactions with coinjoin, wasabi officials made known that the censorship come as a result of a means to reducing the possibilities of hackers using coinjoin in perpetration of illicit acts.

Of course, some are supportive and some are rejecting. That's natural, Wasabi certainly had predicted what would happen next. With that decision of course Wasabi supports and adds to the belief that bitcoin is a safe asset. This means that they can track transactions that are fraudulent. This decision certainly answers the fear of the government that has been said such as money laundering, storage of corrupt assets etc. So later I think Wasabi hopes that more and more government users will conduct crypto transactions. Although in the end all I know wasabi still provides Mixer services and blocking is only done to suspicious transactions.

Wasabi Wallet to Begin Censoring Coinjoin Transactions

When it comes to bitcoin privacy and security consciousness in choosing a desirable wallet to use, wasabi wallet is one of the best option because it's a non custodial open source bitcoin wallet suitable for coinjoin while as of recent the service of censorship is now introduced in using wasabi wallet as it targeted on denying access of the unspent transaction outputs while using coinjoin.

The announcement, made in a statement on social media, explained the way in which these transactions will be censored. Some unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs) coming from certain addresses won’t be able to register to participate in the Coinjoin process that helps users mix and anonymize their bitcoin
