Now please let's also discuss about cats, dogs, and how awesome you all are.

Sure I'll start. I had dogs growing up they are awesome. I do like cats as well, but never had one. How about you?

We have techs that specialize in areas. Everyone works with every company. If a client needs a website changed or redesigned, one main person will deal with that. If equipment is out of date and needs to be renewed, someone else deals with that. 1st line support team, 2nd line support team etc. If a client drops, it's not a big deal, but it goes against what we're trying to do. Every client has so far bought another client with them to us. Actually we did drop one client. She is a multimillionaire that ran the top company in her field for a long time, but she would argue over a £14 phone bill. Wasn't worth the hassle anymore.

It is the exact opposite. Every guy does everything for their client. I spend a lot of time on the phone with support on clients products/hardware and always ask for the client to buy support and maint. agreements since there is so many different technologies and applications between all my clients. I can't know everything. Specializing would be nice Smiley Great experience, but I'm ready to move on.

We have never dropped a client. The tech has to deal with stuff like that. Since dropping a client also means loosing money.

Why have a guy per 15 companies. What happens if that person is off sick for a week? or even if that person decides to leave suddenly? Also you manage the budgets yourself for each of the companies? Funny way of doing things! 10-20k should just be for the support contract of 24/7 support, time onsite should be charged per hour extra. 15 companies should be bringing in around 250k a year. Worth having 1 guy per 5 companies to take the load off and being able to work on other projects. Sounds like a risky business model.

Money. The more clients a guy can take on the more money they make. I would say I'm bringing in about $200K in billable time per year. We advertise 24/7 support and have one guy on call every week, but there very few calls after hours. I don't have any clients that run 24/7 so it's mostly people working from home or travelers in other time zones that I get calls from once in a while. It is an issue when someone leaves or is sick, but they have been doing it like this for many many years and are comfy with their business model. When a tech leaves a client or two will drop, but the majority of that techs clients will be moved to another tech. There is a pretty high turnover rate. Most guys can't drive 90% of the time and be eating lunch in their car 4/5 days a week. I've gotten used to it and it has become a routine, but I'm on the market looking for something more grounded.

Why the fuck are you talking about that fucking offtopic thing ? Make a damned thread "How I run my shit", this is a special one for the scammer dragonkid.

He's a scammer and we deemed that already. He probably has exhausted that account and is currently getting his post count up on another account.

So your reasoning is that now this thread is free to be used for everything else ? ...

I meant DHCP. DHCP is used on the internet as well. ISP will use it to give IPs to cable and DSL modems. It's not boring. I have 15 clients I manage, meaning about 20 locations, 15 sets of politics, 15 budgets, 15 different sets of applications and 15 different processes. It's never boring and always busy.

You said you deal with static IP's all day long. If you have to deal with Static IP's all day long while working in IT, there must be something seriously wrong with their networks.

Only 15? You sound like a kid that has just got his first job in IT.

Yup Servers, switches, ISPs, printers, DNS and other misc. network gear. When you are the only IT guy for 15 businesses and helping out with their day to day IT operations it gets pretty hectic. How may IT jobs have you had?

I'm 24 and currently a manager for an IT support and services company in London, proving support to around 30 financial companies, and personal support for 6 top level bankers and CEO's. Why don't you / your company hire another person? When we had 15 companies, we hired 3 support guys, plus a team of developers. If you provide 24/7 support to 15 companies, you must at least be taking in 10 - 20k from each contract. Makes sense really. Also where are you from? We're hiring in New York / Hong Kong.

Our company has 16 people. All of the 11 techs have 10-15 clients. We are Chicago based. The contracts are fixed price and a couple are in that range, but most are not. It really depends on how much of my time the client wants every month.

Why doesn't this forum ban accounts and/or even IP addresses?

They do ban accounts, and IPs, but it's pointless.
It's easy to get a new account and a new IP.

Plus, IP bans generate a quite a bit of threads of people (rightfully) suprised being locked off from the forum while they did nothing wrong (they just had bad luck and picked a baned IP).

True, I deal with static IPs all day long I forget about DHCP.

DHCP is for internal networks. You mean dynamic. Also that sounds like a boring job!

LOL did this moron just brag about .8 BTC? Take your poverty n00b ass somewhere else and don't try to talk with the grownups til you've got quad digits.

The amount scammed is irrelevant.

I wonder what will take this forum to get a bit smarter ? Why are you people in such a rush to send bitcoins to random people ? Maybe there should be some kind of education day, where the members would be disallowed to use the forums until they can pass some anti-scam test.

I'm just going to add my concerns to this thread:

- Posted an ad for ASIC miners
- Dragonkid sends me a PM about a Juniper he wants to sell
- Dragonkid doesn't want to do escrow (I should have been more suspicious)
- Dragonkid wants 50% before shipping and 50% after
- Agree to pay for shipping in advance at 0.4 BTC (Another dumb mistake on my part) then 50% once tracking and proof of postage is provided
- He sends a tracking number that is for a RoyalMail Signed For Item, then changes the number to one that isn't valid
- Insists on the 50% as he has sent a tracking number
- Can't/won't send any receipt or proof of postage
- Demands 50% then demands 25%
- When I say I won't pay until he provides this proof or the miner arrives he goes quiet
- Apparently sent on a pre-9am delivery (It is now 10.42am and nothing...) with no information on the "tracking" numbers provided

This guy is a scammer and I was stupid to send him 0.4 BTC.

I have the full PM conversations if a mod wants to see them for proof.

If the miner arrives then I will retract all of the above with a full apology but given the lack of escrow and the 50% then 25% demands I am not holding out hope. Will chalk this up to experience (much like selling 20 BTC in August and generally not buying more BTC Tongue)

Haha this keeps getting better and better. Looks like he tried to sell a Jupiter to at least 3 people and can't prove he even owns one.

Please post everything here.

I received a PM from one Jupiter seller - not so sure if it's the same guy with multi-BCT accounts.

If they want any money upfront, refuse escrow and can't provide you with a picture of the Jupiter. Doesn't really matter if it's dragonkid does it? Don't do it!

I also have no problem providing all the messages we sent back and forth witch will CLEARLY show he is a scamer.   i might not have proof it was him sending the trojin right after i gave him my email... "And i don't hardly ever recive virus"  All im trying to do is warn people.

Thank you for the alert. I have flagged his account with negative trust until this issue can be explained.

From one persons accusation with no proof, this is enough to flag his account? How did the OP know that the trojan is a wallet stealer? He said his virus protection stopped it. I get viruses sent to my inbox all of the time. I don't immediately think the last person that PM'd me was the one who sent it. Doesn't make sense.
Why accuse when you have no proof?

On a piece of paper write: "I'm not a scammer" Place it next to the Jupiter and take a picture. Provide said picture of proof you really had a Jupiter for sale.

So i posted an add  looking for a Jupiter, he told me he had one,  And we worked out a price.  then i asked for a picture to prove he had one and provided my email address  before i sent him the money.  He told me he had no working camera...  "Chances of that VERY slim"    But then i asked him to point his miner to my address for 5 mins so i can verify that way.   And while i was writing this message i received an e-mail with a Trojan that set off my virus protection.   And then he replied he already packed the Jupiter so he couldn't set it to my address.    So just a warning DO NOT trust dragonkid!  And don't give him your email address

I also posted that I was looking for a Jupiter and he responded saying he had one, but couldn't provide me with a pic of one and would not use escrow. Kept insisting on 25-50% upfront. Also I'm pretty sure there is more than one person using his account as they kept switching between I and we.

Hmm good point, but combined with certain other metrics, it does appear that Dragonkid is highly likely to be a scammer.

Do you even know if he traded anything ? If you can include the post where he said the things the OP is claiming, that would make the situation more credible.
