1) Would it make sense to put a mining computer in an unheated area, like a garage?
2) I wonder how much less cooling could be used?
3) Would there be any issues with temps below freezxing? (20 degrees for example?) I know that hard drives don't like to start up at those temps if they have been stored shut off, but they should be OK if already running when placed there.
4) I could just leave them inside, but the house doesn't always need heating and since we heat with solar and natural gas, electric heat is generally not used.
Thoughts?
As I heard you need to replace the HDD with either SSD or a flash drive. Also there could be some issues with a condensate (water condensate). From the other points of view there should be no cons.
