EOS has already launched mainnet. And now, many team use blockchain of EOS for own project. I think EOS will give a good profit in this year.

Waves vs EOS

Which one is better for 2018 investment?
I would choose waves, because waves have a lot in common with ETH. And I hope waves is the second version of ETH in the future. EOS is also very good; I think if there is a lot of money then we should invest in both of these coins

"EOS is software that introduces a blockchain architecture designed to enable vertical and horizontal scaling of decentralized applications. The resulting technology is a blockchain architecture that has the potential to scale to millions of transactions per second, eliminates user fees and allows for quick and easy deployment of decentralized applications.

Waves is a custom blockchain tokens platform designed for large-scale business and consumer adoption. Waves was created to make the benefits of blockchain technology accessible to ordinary businesses and end users. The platform launched in 2016 and was designed from the ground up to address the shortcomings of existing blockchain services. The result is an enterprise-ready platform that emphasises security, easy token operations (creation, transfer, exchange) and a straightforward user experience, as well as dealing with critical long-term issues such as speed and scalability.

Both are good. But I would pick EOS, or just split your investment and inveat in both)"

If we compare the capitalization and the level of advancement of these coins. I choose Waves, I think that the price can increase it 5-10 times.

I would choose Waves, here is why:
It's a descentralized token exchange: Waves platform will facilitate fundraising, crowdfunding, and trading of
financial instruments on the blockchain with reduced volatility.
Custom and fiat token creation, deletion and transfer.
Asset-to-asset exchange.
Lightweight clients: Waves will provide a easy to setup light client that can run on any computer.

Also Waves is the first production system being built on top of the Scorex framework
Extensible solution: In order to fix the need for a mandatory hard fork when creating a new type of transaction on the NXT Platform (forcing network client software updates) WAVES offers plug-ins that are not included in the core software module, but are instead installed as an extension on top of it.

I would choose EOS. Although I do not have anything against the waves and consider them a good project.
EOS seems to me more promising and interesting.
Also, the EOS in the top 5 coins, and the waves in 45 place.

Waves vs EOS

Which one is better for 2018 investment?
For me, EOS is better than waves. Although I do not fully believe in EOS, but EOS has grown rapidly and will be widely used by new projects in the future. Basically Waves and EOS are altcoins that deserve to be held in the long run, investing in both is better.

Of course EOS. The Waves have no chance to overtake or how to surpass EOS. Many believe that EOS is a very serious competitor to Ethereum

Waves vs EOS

Which one is better for 2018 investment?
Although both are decent source of investment but in this crash period EOS have shown some growths and developments so its better to put your money in that because sooner many coins will run on its blockchain. On the other hand Waves is also a good investment and with improved technology it can beat many alts.So invest in both to be safe and gain good profits.

I just wonder why EOS has a huge marketcap while WAVES' service Wavedex is better than EOS? Please respect my opinion. Did EOS prove anything yet? Is there any altcoin running already in EOS blockchain? Waves is simply amazing. Just a big marketing promotion and it could beat ADA ,IOTA, and EOS in the coinmarketcap.

EOS has more potential due to the fact of 4b ICO. This is a huge investments that gives a lot of options for development. Regarding Waves we need to see whether it will survive the cryptocurrency field turbulence in Russia.

Several months ago I told that Waves was better than EOS, but today I see, that EOS has a big future. I'm sure that EOS is better for 2018, I think price will hit 50-60$ by end of this year (if bitcoin will hit 25k$, of course).

I will go for EOS. I hate the way waves using their wallets, imo it's not secured enough. In fact, they don't have good quality wallets. In recent time they are doing well, but still I'll go for EOS. EOS has huge potential that will boom the market by end of the year.

I have invested to both of these two actually I really wanted to of them to succeed  because of course I want to profit from them. WAVes so far have been existing since 2016 and did invest to it the time of ICO which I knew I already have profited from it. EOS is making advancements already and it already reach on top ranking its marketcap above. I guess EOs is winning.

Wave and Eos both are platform type , it means they can be used for other ICOs to use them as platform like NEO or ethereum , different is that wave is a coin and has its own blockchain but EOS is a token that uses ethereum blockchain , and it means if Ethereum goes down or get hacked or something like that would take EOS with itself too , but it was one of the biggest ICOs of the 2018 , gathered so much crowdfunding , Its roadmap hasn't been completed yet , we shall see if they can make the roadmap happens or not .

It's hard to say who is stronger, because both coins are very promising, but so far none of them has shown half of its potential. There are all the prerequisites for growth, but we do not see it in any of the coins. I would prefer the EOS, but this is personally my own.

EOS popularity is growing day by day . It's price make x10 within last months and probably will continue to increase . Some people think that it will replace Ethereum in the future , but I'm not sure about this , because Ethereum already have a large working network with thouthands working products on it , while EOS have only promises .

EOS is similar to a decentralised operating system, in practice this means that developers can build applications on EOS. Owning EOS coins is a claim on server resources. A developer needs to have EOS coins to use the EOS blockchain. Developers will not spend the coins to use the server resources, he just need to prove they hold them.

İt is easy to tell people and easy to write on paper (theoratically) but believe me  really diffucult to deal with real product. Just check waves beta platform and compare it with others (if they have product) https://beta.wavesplatform.com

Never saw what all the fuss was about with EOS, lets host a full year ICO with no finished product so we can sit on the money and try make something in the meantime. If the technology in the whitepaper was so groundbreaking surely someone else would have implemented a similar concept in the meantime.

Waves vs EOS

Which one is better for 2018 investment?

My personal choice will be EOS because Larimer has already proved that is ready to deliver absolutely working product.
I don't see anything related to the EOS working product. Do you say the platform of eos as a working product, and why cardano performs even better than eos? As a project aims to decentralized  everything and it's a bit strange to see. But eos should be a winner in comparison between eos and waves.

Both have qualities and we must also agree that there is a lot of marketing on them, many fallacies, and positive comments that motivate investors to make profits for long-term buy, but EOS has a lot to contribute and deliver its promises, in case the Waves already has the platform set up only to attract large consistent investors and attract the investment in general, there is also a lot missing. I keep both projects long term for between 6 months to 3 years.

I hold both in the Passive Coin Backing Fund.
However, despite the recent lower valuation, WAVES seems a "better" option if you really need to choose.

We also plan to issue (in next few months) 50K supply Passive Silver Coin backed by Waves and original Passive Coin.
Waves has interesting background and there is future in this blockchain.
... not mention, they have own build-in exchange DEX.

EOS looks more promising now. Many people pin great hopes on it. I like Waves too. But for some reason, there is little ICO on this platform. It is not popular. And I think the growth of capitalization will be rather slow.

Fully agree. EOS is a pretty young and promising project and I guess that it will truly take its own market since summer 2018. I don't like WAVES marketing strategy. As for me it's too quiet. Plus WAVES has a very few projects for its time of existing.

Eos is quite new project they need long time to have a good product. We don't have a good variable to talk about Eos. The price of Eos running by speculation just like %98 of coins on the market.

Which coins have a proffesional marketing strategy that related with real bussiness? All of them focused on coding to provide a good chain or product. İf the "marketing strategy == speculation" for you "yes" you are right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pjMueirxGU

If i have to choose then i will take waves..  Waves made cooperation with the National Settlement Depository (NSD), the storage center of the Moscow Stock Exchange. The Waves Prospect is to develop digital blockchain platforms, digital tokens and crypto assets. Later in May 2017, Microsoft announced that the Waves platform will be used on the Azure platform. Technological development plans continue to increase and run, so prices are expected to continue to rise.

There is no product for Eos to compare with Waves yet. Eos founder show his capability with bitshares and steem but I didn't like both are centralized. Bts has a silly idea with dpos , only 101 nodes elected by voting Smiley There are some speculation on steem side that it could be a ponzi scheme. But we can't say anything about Eos before see how it will work.

İn the other hands Waves has a great tech on the core side. İf you are understanding the codes you can check their great work on github. They don't need sidechain or Lightning network (to reduce amount of tx),  they have a great feature called Waves-Ng protocol which is allowed micropayments. Plus scaling the fee is not a problem on waves.
Second important thing is non-turing complete smart contracts which will make contracts work like a bitcoin scrypt. We saw the problem of turing complete on eth how it is blow up with spam attack on the chain.

EOS: Allowing mainstream adoption for Blockchain and so much more!

...
Individuals are now able to build, host and govern decentralized applications thanks to a decentralized autonomous corporation called EOS, which allows them to do so.

...
One of EOS’s innovations in the Blockchain technology industry is the incorporation into its protocol of a constitution governing its governance. The constitution outlines a transparent framework for resolving different, major decision making and creates a common default arbitration framework for all users globally. Block production, transactions and operations are governed by the constitution of the EOS system through a peer-to-peer use agreement.

I think EOS is going to be a solid investment. I remember reading recently that EOS is going to start to be listed on new exchanges, so that's bound to increase its popularity. The price was low for so long as well, and an upward trend has started recently. I'm not sure whether the price will increase constantly throughout 2018, but I'm hopeful about EOS.

Its already listed on Bitfinex, so looks like next Ethereum. I heard that its going to be listed in Coinbase along with some other coins.

do you have and link or proof for your statement, that eos get listet recently on coinbase??

if that happens, it would be defenitly a advantage for eos against waves.

I heard about it from somewhere.

Which one is better for 2018 investment?

Waves was still best for me to invest in because I know its the next to Ethereum like what others here thinking about.

do you have and link or proof for your statement, that eos get listet recently on coinbase??

if that happens, it would be defenitly a advantage for eos against waves.

I like both but I like EOS even better.. Put some money on both to be safe.. The recent EOS bull ride made me put on hold on EOS.. I'm waiting for the dust to settle a bit, then I will buy more.

Any chance it will come down from current rate, cause I'm planning to buy plenty of EOS

I think EOS is going to be a solid investment. I remember reading recently that EOS is going to start to be listed on new exchanges, so that's bound to increase its popularity. Waves vs EOS

Which one is better for 2018 investment?
EOS looks better in my opinion. Cardano and EOS in the same way. The marketcapitalization of eos higher than waves project. that means the waves lost a lot of interest by the investors rather than eos platform. But this time it looks still pegged with ethereum blockchain as the main chain.
