Hi @everyone, the Sei team is very excited to announce that we are launching Act 4 of the Seinami Incentivized Testnet, which will remain open indefinitely. For Act 4, the missions are designed to stress test our network by simulating high loads (like those on NASDAQ or NYSE).

**There will be 1,000,000 points up for grabs in the first checkpoint of Act 4.** Points are allocated on a per mission basis and all act 4 missions may be completed multiple times.

Scammers have also evolved to adapt the latest crypto development trends to try to imitate potential projects such as how to distribute incentives from the apto project, btw if it is related to tesnet now hundreds of airdrops from other projects are promoting the same tesnet method, so when it is difficult to find tesnet from potential projects because of scammers also run tesnet on the same network chain, so be careful and prioritize project analysis before joining any tesnet.

when the incentive airdrop model such as doing tesnet has been misused by scammers, another airdrop model will appear again. Scammers continue to grow and we also as users must also develop and not lose to scammers. careful and always alert will be needed, analysis of each project in detail will help us to know which projects are really good and projects that will only become a trap.

Scammers is everywhere and yes we can not deny that nowadays there are a lot of scammers working hard and try  their best to scamm many people and for this topic I think this project what OP give us is needed to be search and investigate in order to know more about this project and thanks for the OP that he gave us hints in participating this project, and it's a good idea to use our dummy wallet to prevent loss in the near future,

Thanks for sharing the information, most times I come across on the testnet project where you're wallet will be connected to the site, which the private key has been link up, but I have the fear to connect my wallet because of scam project, not to loose the little I have, instead, I prefer buying when it comes to public sales.
You don't have to connect your main wallet to these testnets, they are testnets you can create a new wallet or if you have a disposable wallet, you can use that, never connect your wallet to a project that has not yet established its reputation and testnets are projects that you don't have to trust yet, I did testnet on two projects and use a new wallet and have no issue at all, but unfortunately not all testnets are promising.

Scammers are always looking for loopholes to infiltrate and become what the victim wants, such as a tesnet that gets an airdrop incentive. A lot of new projects are popping up by doing their network tests and then paying early adopters pretty well. But it's not all, each project distributes aidrop in a different way. like the hype APTOS network and pay their early adopters with satisfactory results.

Sometimes joining them is a waste of time but at least we never spend money from joining them, we just lost our precious time. However, if we got too lucky, we also get rewards. Well, the truth is that scammers will make their way to be a part of this crypto development. Absolutely, their participation will somewhat ruin the reputation of crypto and could lose the trust of many investors. That is why we should be careful dealing with these testnet projects because some people will ask to deposit money before you will get the reward and that is what we called a scam.

Not surprising actually which it is really somewhat anticipated if we do talk or speak about scammers or fraudsters who would really be going in line with those current trend or interest around.

If they do really find out that majority of projects (testnets) do really get significant interest and recognition then this is where they do really get in line.

If you are a bounty hunter then you would really be just basically be wasting up your time and effort on doing tasks which doesnt really give out
assurance that you would really be paid something good from it.

Is it an old form of bounty? I don't think that it's one of the oldest because it's sort of new to the community and there's a big chunk that has been shared through this type of reward system.

Testnet isn't new. I've know about it since as far back as 2017. And I believe it has even been on before that since the beginning of token development on the ethereum network that allows it. And any project will want to test to make adjustments where necessary in other not to disappoint their users and investors. They can only make adjustment where necessary base on the feedbacks from the testnet participants.
You're right, I have remembered some projects of it in the past that were bounties like testnet but it wasn't that known back then. It's because everyone is for those marketing bounties and doesn't want to check into testnets. It makes sense why some of the successful projects now that have ran their testnets have some good offers to make from those participants that have helped them.

My favourite one is to find jobs that would be open to participation from everyone possible and only based on if you really work. Look at affiliate work in the crypto world, you will see that everyone is open to affiliates of course. Because, you are selling whatever they are offering, it could be a service, a software, a product, it could be anything.

It means if you do manage to get customers for that place, they will be willing to pay you. And that means you are going to end up with earning from many websites if you could build an affiliate network. This is just one example, find a job that is open to pay you as long as you work, and you will find work that you can earn money from without a limit.

Hunters are trying to get the chance to join these testnets knowing that it became popular due to high rewards that participants received after completing the tasks. It's not bad to join these testnets and I'm happy that some of the testnet has an anti-abuse measure to avoid abusers. Though it is the same as airdrop, Not every project has a guaranteed reward and I'm sure that there would be a time that scammers will take advantage of this. I personally joined some of those testnet project on that list that has potential rewards, some of them are new to my eyes so thank you OP for this list.

I bring to your attention a blog that I myself use to perform tasks in the test network https://airdropclaimers.medium.com/ which publishes current tasks for the testnet and contains a guide for their implementation. I think that following the guide, you will be able to complete the tasks yourself, even if you have not done this before.
This is exactly what I was looking for!thank you...

Glad to help.

...If only I have plenty of extra time I will be hunting for these kinds of tasks....

If you have the necessary skills to trade on decentralized exchanges, as well as experience with DeFi, then completing the tasks of the test network will not take you much time. If you do not have such skills, then you will quickly acquire them by completing several testnet tasks.

Thank you for sharing this mate. I thought it is yours. If only I have plenty of extra time I will be hunting for these kinds of tasks. Nonetheless, I will be following this page for future use and I will also share this with my friends that are not that busy with their lives. I'm really amazed at how many ways to earn here in crypto as long as someone is hard-working and most of these are free anyways. The Aptos rewards got me really curious about testnets which I just ignored before.

ever since Aptos soared giving out freebies to their testnet users and being listed on major exchange sites, testnet airdrop hunters started popping up again and creating a lot of spam also burdening every existing server, for example Shardeum doesn't work well also one other addition i.e. SUI is also overloaded spam on their discord because of yesterday's Aptos effect where almost every user earns thousands of dollars in short that's cool when the market is bearish and people are getting free money from Aptos

Before Aptos other projects did same and reward users. There is one I joined not too long ago (forget the name of the project) they reward all testnet users although the reward was not as big as Aptos. The point is, it is been going on for some time now probably Aptos seems to be the biggest reward of late. Plus it is not entirely free because you did some task to be rewarded.
We only got the rewards when tasks are completed, that was the common rule in participating test networks. But I don't think it was too hard not to complete it. I'm not sure what is the computation of rewards but likely it is shared with all participants the amount allocated for this. Of course, we never have to expect big rewards from this but at least, by simply doing a few tasks and without any amounts coming out of our pocket, I think it is worth spending our time, especially if we do nothing in our life.
the last time i got a big airdrop from uniswap and it needed capital to do a swap especially at that time the transaction fee was also quite large, i just saw a project like this that only tested with the tesnet network and then got hundreds or even thousands of dollars, it seems that i am easily interested, to participate and test the new project

Testnet has been one of the best way to earn tokens for tasks performance and also one of the oldest form of earning. Most especially now that bounty hunting has been bastardized with low earning or not able to determine a project that will succeed at the end of a campaign or which one will eventually distribute the reward not fearing the hunters will dump the price.
Is it an old form of bounty? I don't think that it's one of the oldest because it's sort of new to the community and there's a big chunk that has been shared through this type of reward system.

Testnet rewards are always moderately better than bounty hunting with certainty of payment. And also, the testnet participants are always respected as they are trusted to help the project be at perfection before its launch.
It's like bounty, if the project becomes successful then there's a generous amount of share for the testnet participants. But if the project didn't received success, it's like the bounties that it won't have any value.

While participating in the testnets, it is important to be wary of the kinds of website you connect your wallet to, many testnet events are out to hack your wallet and drain your funds. So be sure to participate in testnets event using a new wallet. Also, be sure to dyor; not all test-nets events are incentivized
That's why the Op has warned in advance to use a dummy wallet or dummy email and my advice is also to record all of our dummy wallet information in a notepad so as not to lose access to reopen it.
This is the first time I heard about it and I think it's worth trying because it's a little different from bounty where bounty has so many tasks to do while it's simpler

Yes, there is some sort of disclaimer from the OP in the beginner, and obviously, you need to separate everything including your emails so that there will be no spam coming from this so called projects and it should be very clean account for you.

Otherwise, if all of your crypto and personal emails are in one, then it will be clogged and maybe you will be spam to death and can't identify which one is the most important emails for you, so just be careful in joining with your real email accounts, just create multiple dummy accounts.
And the wallet we use too should be different from your regular wallet. This is why some people will later experience their wallets been emptied because in the process of doing these kinds of task, you might end up doing a scam one. I normally don't do many airdrops but when I do, I do have a specific email and wallet for Airdrops I believe it's safer.

As long as you didnt pay any money at all thats free. If you did some minimal or very short limited time for that then it still free. What you are saying is that is not should be the case? Like everyone deserved some compensation. Some of those projects are doing this for promotions and thats totally depend on them either they reward users who participate or not.

I agree, you can earn coins by participating in the bounty campaign but how can you ensure that it will be worthy or not untill to listed on the exchanges? bounty is just bullshit, there are no guarantee to earn a penny in this bearish market. Don’t waste your time to mining such SCAM coins.
Almost all bounties rightnow not really worth again except joining with bounties campaign paying by stable coins, I think although still have chance to earn money by joining bounty campaign not guarantee will profitable like last three or four years ago. No matter with beariah or bullish market condition, all bounties just waste our time except have good price until bounty ended but not distribution on time until coin price going drop.
Need to be nore careful choose which one worth bounty campaign for joining and have escrowed if want distribution on time.
Bounties have been a waste of time for years, maybe you can find one that pays you and the coin eventually reevaluates yourself and allows you to make some money, but this is quite rare these days, and even if you were part of a good bounty there would not be any guarantee you will get paid as we see the developers make all kind of excuses to not pay their bounty participants what they deserve.

So I suggest that people stop thinking about bounties as a way to make money in the market of cryptocurrencies as this is not 2017 anymore.

Bounty campaigns was once a good way in earning until the scam projects arrived and lots and lots of project came. Same goes with airdrops around in 2016 where several people have made good money out of airdrops from successful projects.
Now, as for the testnets, the fact that people have mentioned how people have earned with Aptos, will give you an idea that it's more likely you'll find 1 out of 50 testnets that'll give you profit.
So, you'll have to make bunch of testnets and hope that one of them are going to be like Aptos.

Tesnet actually aims to test the platform whether it works or not. This means it is still in the testing phase. Some have been successful and many have failed.

So, even if this is only for airdrops or bounty campaigns, you should first study each project, see the whitepaper, twitter or telegram, whether the project is regularly updated or not.

There are many airdrops and bounty going to earn some coins but aside from these many trading competition going on exchanges, we can take part of these promotions. Coins trading is also a good option to earn big. Mining website like pi is also very handful to increase some money. We can also create own crypto currency to go with good business.

And that's what makes many people want to take part and hope to benefit from each project. But be careful if you want to join airdrop and bounty projects and don't join if they offer prizes but you have to verify by doing KYC because it's not worth continuing. Some airdrop and bounty projects can increase greatly after the coin's launch on the market. And that provides an opportunity for those who collect a lot of prizes to sell and make a profit. And usually, the price of the coin or token will drop drastically due to the large number of people selling their coins or tokens.

...I have many friends spending their time on testnets but I thought it was like a lottery before earning decent amounts while spending gas on tests...

You are confusing retroactive with testnet. To complete tasks in the test network, test coins are required, which you will receive as an airdrop. While, for example, Uni was distributed as an airdrop to participants who were the first to be active on Uniswap, that is, retroactive. In the second case, you would have to bear the costs of gas.

Nice thread. I haven't really participated in any bounties and airdrops except for my signature. I tried Evmos before at least but I haven't received anything, maybe I was a little late. I have many friends spending their time on testnets but I thought it was like a lottery before earning decent amounts while spending gas on tests. Now it is trending once again because of the Aptos who just airdropped over a thousand dollars per testnet participant.

So are there any active testnets currently that seem promising?

If I understand it correctly, the nft and crypto coins you guys get can only be spent inside their testnet and not in the real world right? But, why you seem to be positive about it when the real one that you will get from doing these kind of tasks are their own token which value is also small since they are still starting but you can always hodl it and see if it became huge later on.

There is a risk in doing this because we may be required to connect our wallet and there are projects who are scams which can rob us. This is why the OP is recommending us to use dummy accounts and this includes creating a new crypto wallet only for this purpose.

Yes, all the coins and NFT that you receive in the test network can only be spent in this test network to complete tasks. But the reward at the end of testing is distributed in the main network. It will be possible to talk about the value of the coin that you will receive as an airdrop only after it starts trading on the exchange.

To eliminate all the risks associated with the loss of the contents of your wallet, you need to use a new wallet specially created for this purpose.

Completing tasks in the test network sometimes brings a good profit. One of the last such examples was the airdrop from Aptos, in which for mint free NFT in the test network, its participants received 150 APT, which is approximately equal to $1200. By the way, the activity in this test network has not ended yet, since only 3% of the 51% allocated to the community has been spent.
That's very generous of them. I remember I also got 400 UNI upon using them while they were not releasing a token yet.

This is a risky approach though and will cost a transaction fee which is unsure whether they really will give away tokens. But this is a sign of a near bull market because during the time of UNI, its where coins are also retracing back to high support levels.

Testnets are quite a good experience, if you ask me. It gives a win-win situation for everyone concerned here. Why? You get to use a new start-up products and test it's integrity, and you may be rewarded with some profitable tokens. Quite a good one
I have been testing bunch of network and only a few that was giving reward. I think that this is pretty much the same like doing airdrop. Mostly of developers didn't wanna give tokens for free. Only few that was paying the participants.
Im still trying right now but the chance is quite small to get a decent reward like aptos. it must be aproject supported by binance.

Previously the project used to give airdrops to their user who download their wallet or if they share the project on social media (they still do them now) but testnet is a new thing that is becoming popular with the projects. Also, many testnets does not promise that you will get the real tokens when the launch of the coin, but usually the teams will reward you with token/coins if you have participated in test net.

...With nodes, everything is simple until you start setting it all up. If the user is completely unfamiliar with setting up his own server and the command line in Ubuntu, even with a ready-made manual it will be difficult for him to figure out all those console line commands, what works and how to set it up. You need at least minimal technical knowledge to successfully participate in the nodes.

As a rule, all tasks in the test network are similar to each other and consist in swaps of coins, providing liquidity, moving coins through the bridge. All these tasks are not difficult for those who have previously been engaged in trading on DEX and earning on Defi. As for beginners, participation in test networks will allow you to raise your level of knowledge and at the same time also get a profit.

Not everything is as rosy as you describe. Not all testnets are profitable. Anyone who plans to spend time on testnets should consider one truth, that 90% of all testnets will not bring you anything in terms of profit, only experience. It follows that it is not enough just to start taking part in the testnet, you still need to learn to recognize promising testnet. Newcomers who have recently heard about testnet Aptos, rushed to participate in all testnet, thinking they all bring as much profit. They don't take into account the fact that testnets like Aptos appear 3-4 times a year, and everything else just passes by.

This is a great way to earn some income if truly it is proven to give good incentive from some small task since there basically as a trial just like Airdrop and bounties.
But again since we already have a bad experience with bounties lately seeing a new trend that can reward users is a good alternative but then we should also analys the risk involved in such task you may end up not getting paid at all.
If the testnet requires huge deposit to their network I believe that is a big risk for bounty hunters who are trying hard to earn some income while performing some tasks, and considering the huge numbers of projects undergoing a testnet if we are required to deposit some small amount of coin for each of the testnet thus when added up it will be a large amount of coins, however if those testnet are free that can be tested with a virtual coin that will be a welcome development, I think this is a good opportunity for bounty hunters to alternatively work on testnet to earn extra income.

I am not fully aware of this and this is much better than doing bounty campaigns based on my research after stumbling over this testnet bounty, you will not only increase your knowledge but you will be a part of something when the project launches its mainet, but like all the other bounty campaign, there's really no guaranty that the project you're working will be successful it's still a gamble so only pick the right project to test.

personally, i value testnet over bounty and airdrop, because participating in testnet you have to take the tasks seriously then you must give feedback to the project team so they can evaluate the quality of the project before releasing the final version. this job requires you to spend a lot of time experiencing the product and regularly interacting with the team of the team. it can be said that testnet brings both knowledge and profit to testers, it does not turn everyone into spammers everywhere.

I have not participated in such events before. What do you advise now from the current, there is free time I would like to take part.
Who is actively involved in this, advise several projects that you think will be relevant.
If you want to get involved in tesnet events then make sure you have to have patience because basically not all the projects running the event will really pay us even a lot of them nowadays are scammers.
Looking for relevant projects, I think the projects on Op's list also seem worthy projects for us to work on as some of them have a clear mainnet launch goal.

Very open insight for all here. good advice from cryptoaddictchie (OP). I think people need to know that this is not a cure for cancer. This is to facilitate mass distribution of tokens and allow investors to test them before the main network is tested and correct Many projects are doing this now but we need to read between the lines and this It will help to check what projects are doing on their testnet

most of those testnet they run will somehow requested to make a some Minimal deposit to carry out the test of which I know most of you won't like to risk a dime from your ends.
Minimal deposit? Ive done more than 10 and I could say that I didnt spend on any fees or deposit since its just a testnet. You might be thinking of a retroactive airdrop instead since you mentioned deposit.

Testnet are typically used test coin too or those without value, they gonna give you tokens or faucet for that then test it to do trading, swapping, lending and etc any means to try out the platform.

Retroactive need a fairly large amount of money from 500$ to 1000$ to perform simple tasks swap, add pool, stake, trade... you need to experience all the products of the project. We won't spend such a big amount but to make sure to get the airdrop we need such amount to do it and when it's over, it will cost us 20-30 dollars to complete the task. I think what he is talking about is mint NFT, like if you want to mine NFT on Aptos it will cost you 0.5 or 1APT to mine NFT, and some airdrops require ETH or BNB to complete the mission. All of them are not testnet.

This seems like a more rewarding opportunity to earn in the cryptocurrency space. Most people that engage in bounty and airdrops don't eventually get paid for their services. Comparing that to these test net opportunities is similar, though the test net is expected to be more lucrative when one gets a good project.

Testnets and nodes are now the most relevant option if we are talking about earning cryptocurrencies without initial investment. I would like to point out that most of testnet and nodes will never bring you any profit, especially where there is no need to attract real cryptocurrencies. I can also advise those who want to spend their time on cryptocurrencies to participate in Gleam giveaways and airdrop. This is a very popular platform for promotion of different cryptocurrencies and there are new tasks there every day.
The task of tesnets and nodes is very easy and even comes with a tutorial on the medium article, we are only tasked with testing the testnets mode platform to get incentives when tokens will be distributed, but I rarely follow gleam rewards because it has several tasks depending on different projects, but I'm sure there are some new testnets that will potentially grow like Aptos and keep exploring to find other potential tetnets.

I cannot agree with you that tesnets, and especially nodes, are simple. Some tesnets require some knowledge when you test some platform or service. If you have no experience in navigating nets, bridges, and wallets, even with a guide, it can take you a long time to figure it all out, and it can take hours to get through the whole testnet.

With nodes, everything is simple until you start setting it all up. If the user is completely unfamiliar with setting up his own server and the command line in Ubuntu, even with a ready-made manual it will be difficult for him to figure out all those console line commands, what works and how to set it up. I don't have to discourage anyone about testnet but it's a very cool and common way to scam people, the advice has been given and I m sure he wouldn't be held responsible for any miss or hack. I would have loved to share a project which actually was running a test on their app that they run away till date, there telegram group have been locked 🔐 and no one can make a post either.
I am always conscious of testnet instead using a free airdrop with spare wallet would be more valuable because most of those testnet they run will somehow requested to make a some Minimal deposit to carry out the test of which I know most of you won't like to risk a dime from your ends.

You are right but few projects are still paying, I am following a guy on Twitter named Abraham Chase, he hardly promote any scam testnets, majority projects this guy brings always pay or still in the process of paying because they aren't launched yet. I knew Sei and Shardeum Protocol through him.
It's just so disappointing that scammers are even using a supposed to be an opportunity for people to earn as their way of stealing funds and fooling people. Telegram groups aren't reliable all the time because if scammers would use this platform, it will be easier for them to escape and run away from their victims. The only thing that we can do to avoid scamming activities like this is just to search every detail about a testnet project so we'll have an idea about their legitimacy and their potential to succeed.

Out of those all testnets that you've worked with, how many of them became successful with their launching and how many have paid you actually with their tokens?
Not yet received so far as Ive done recently all of these Ive mentioned. But dont worry I'll definitely update this thread or even the list of testnet that Ive been monetized.
Thanks, looks like this is the new trend that's being done in most of those projects and some have already been rewarded with a few of it that they've done these test nets.

However, as you've said, one should be careful and still cautious and do protocols that don't entirely trust them with your resources.
Yes, and dont use main wallet for receiving tokens if its a live mainnet instead create a new one for safety. We dont know what kind of threat could be present especially they are running on testnet.
Correct.

It's better to be sure when it's come to these things. You don't compromise and intended to use your main wallet on this one because you might also be traced that you're the person who owns that wallet with certain allocated funds on it.

How people are being rewarded? The project will airdrop coins to the main network of the addresses that participated in the said event from testnet?
This is how I understand this, it's like they have the list of addresses that qualify for the reward and that's the time they will give the real coins to the main network.

Usually, after the launch of the main network, an airdrop will be made to the wallets that took part in the testnet. But it also happens when the project is already running on the main network, additionally conducts a test on the test network. A recent example is UMEE, which, after launching the main network, conducted a re-paid test on the test network.

At the same time, not all projects initially indicate whether the work in the test network will be paid or not. Therefore, there is a high probability that your work will not be paid.

Test coins are always used to complete tasks in the test network, and even if you wish, you will not be able to transfer coins from the main network there. You get these test coins for free as an airdrop and they cannot be withdrawn to the main network. Obviously, you are confusing the execution of test tasks on the test network with testing on the main network, where it will really be necessary to bear the costs.

Yes, this is a way to make money as well as learn a lot in this market, I find it especially suitable for those who are new to this market on how to use it. Looking at the projects that have brought big money to testnet users, I think maybe those who are making free money in this space need to adapt to this change. Most recently, we all heard how APTOS has brought big airdrops, and in the future there will be many similar projects that bring such joy. Thanks to @cryptoaddictchie for sharing this list.

DISCLAIMER:Not affiliated on any of these projects. Just sharing here in case you are looking for a reward task like bounty and airdrop. Im not confident too if there possible scam to that but I checked their social and details and looks good. But of course its always better to be cautious so like I said only used new wallets or dummy email accounts or any important things not to connect with for these kind of tasks rewards thing.

It's worth giving this a try as a bounty campaign and airdrop is not worth it anymore, I read a lot about test net before from my friends on social media but ignored it I have another computer and will want to give it a try I'm sure there are still a lot of testnet projects coming up, this is really not something new I first come across this test net for free tokens early last year, and I agree with OP be sure to only use disposable wallets not your main wallet, just to protect your funds as you are integrating the wallet to these projects.

how these test works?I mean what kind of activities are required? what software/wallet I need to use?
why you talk about a risk approach? there is the risk to pay some fees and get nothing as reward? (likewise some ICO in the past that was requiring small amount of ETH just to not send nothing really valuable?) or just to get involved in some contract that could drain out tokens from wallet?
Its like doing a defi product with using testnet tokens for example ropsten network, zksync testnet tokens, some fo these projects have own testnet and youll use that to interact on their sites. Regarding software or wallet. Mostly used their own and as much as I remember its free. If I remember correctly almost all of on my list are no need to pay any gas fee but only needed to use testnet tokens for the task.

Yes, youll likely do some interactions and some transaction but only using testnet not mainnet. Thats why even though its a testnet, I remind or put reminder to at least use new wallets if its on eth, or whatever network its gonna ask you to use.

Example this ragnar protocol check out the instruction.

It looks like testnet is the new trend for bounty hunting now.  After the success of bounty hunter on Aptos airdrop,  it looks like bounty hunter's eyes are on the project that needed testnet testers and give airdrop to these testers as means of compensation for their participation.  I wonder how far will this testnet trend goes.  I am thinking that many scams and shit projects will take advantage of this testnet hype to exploit bounty hunters.

If you learn about the history of the testnet, I think it started with Uniswap, they had a huge airdrop for their early users and the testnet trend started from there. This is not a new trend anymore, but it has not received too much attention from the community because last year was the bullish season and everyone was busy making profits from investment projects.

APT is not the most profitable testnet project but it's just that making a profit during this bear season is becoming extremely difficult and it has attracted attention as it generates substantial profits for the testers.

Beside testnet and node have alternative with NFT mint, usually address or participant ever mint NFT on some side have chance to get reward but not all NFT mint potential with higher values later.
Gleam very popular platform for promoting new project in cryptocurrency, depend without need have many referral available for reward I think is potential for joining, but nowadays have new rule with gleam give away where participants need to promote referral link and have many downline to earn reward trough gleam airdrop.

This is quite new for me. And I am sure that this will be a good source moreover for anyone who is always asking about how to earn money in cryptocurrency. As we know that bounty and airdrop right now are no longer as profitable as in the past, although there are still some probably. But, not all people can really earn money from those activities.
This may be new and need to learn more about this first. Doing test net will need certain learning and test, but of course, there is also enough guidance every time we are going to do that.

The fortune will be probably the project that we do the testnet will be really legit and we can sell the tokens at a worthy price. But unfortunately, like previous bad sides, certain projects may not be unworthy or will not pay you as you expect. So, this is also a must to research at first what projects to follow.

Aside from typical bounty campaign and airdrop. Now the hype change to incentivized testnets. ..

The main problem of many projects is that you may not receive a reward. I tested zkSync a long time ago, yesterday I spent $40 on various bridges and exchanges, and it's not a guarantee that it will give me a guaranteed airdrop. It is better to apply to the ambassadors, then there are more chances to get project tokens.

interesting argument... some questions from a newbie into this field...

how these test works?I mean what kind of activities are required? what software/wallet I need to use?
why you talk about a risk approach? there is the risk to pay some fees and get nothing as reward? (likewise some ICO in the past that was requiring small amount of ETH just to not send nothing really valuable?) or just to get involved in some contract that could drain out tokens from wallet?

Last but not least, there is a topic that present all tests actually available?

If you don’t mind. Can you share your source on where do you get this project? Is there any website that collects all the upcoming blockchain project and offer testnet with rewards?
Hello there, aside from forum I am quite active on checking whats new on twitter. Usually I just type Testnet from day to day and found out some projects that are popping on the feed. Also some have even tutorials on how to do these testnet. Also Im not even sure if there are sure rewards for testnet but having an announcement on discord or their social means a good news right.

Thanks for the list! I hope that you will consistently update it and please include the official link just to make sure we are dealing with the right project.
Hey maybe I could update the thread from time to time if theres a new one. Regarding the links, maybe a good idea to include links. Anyway will try that out.

Aside from typical bounty campaign and airdrop. Now the hype change to incentivized testnets. There are some projects who are testing out their platform and able to give some free token during launch. Actually this isnt new anymore as it being done in the past. Gonna share some of the projects  Ive done on testing. Dont have tokens and the task are not too hard but some are long process.

This is also a risk approach. We dont know whether they are really gotta give up some tokens so my advice is use all dummy accounts for this. Like dummy wallet or any email in case they ask for one. We dont want to compromise our wallets with asset. Not a financial advise but if you want to try then feel free to search on your own. Sharing below the list of the projects Ive done the task with for possible testnet rewards.

There are more but I not doing some that I feel not worth my time and looks very scam.

The only time that I've been doing these is when a project reaches out to me for a video review that needs me to do a demo via their testnet. To be honest, I have never done these kinds of testnet opportunities like Aptos but yeah I regret that I didn't do before in which it would give us extra money like in airdrops and bounties.

And I really appreciate that you shared this to us. Because there's an influencer that I followed that he dropped 3 alpha testnets on his Discord server but needs us to have a supporter badge to access it. No disrespect, but it is something that I didn't like from that influencer.

But with you being so generous for sharing this without expecting anything in return is something that I am really thankful and grateful for. And of course, I will just use my dummy wallet for these testnets, not my main ones.

Yes everything has risks like this one whether if it's a success or not. But no risk, nothing happens. Like in airdrops and bounties, we also take risks in spending lots of time finishing tasks without knowing whether if that project is going to pay us or not. I like taking chances despite that assuming most of them would not pay us our rewards.

I'm joined a several test net type telegram groups, where mostly users providing such type projects link and they participating here, and some people's got decent amount of money, if now bounty and airdrop is just wasted of time, there are no payment in bounty work, so i think will go to try with test net projects, it’s can be good alternative way of bounty/airdrops.

I have come across such tasks and usually most of these come as bug bounty hunting projects which also requires some technical know how of these platforms and do pay well if you meet their criteria. Not to be put off, some testnet projects just require you to move coins around and report any errors encountered and you get paid for that... Easy $$$

Some projects still classify testnet tests/participation as airdrops. For example I participated in one: Network Name: Rinkeby Test Network, which they provided a faucet for the gas fee, and promised to pay each participant 1 Venice token, as the reward for the airdrop, which they did pay. I think the test may still come as airdrop, it all depends on the project view. Basically, testnets are not as popular as the usual airdrops, but IMO, it could be a new area to look into for better possible rewards when compared to the usual airdrop tasks.

Sei Network have confirmed that they will distribute tokens to their testnet participants, this is a example of an incentive airdrop but I am not sure of others, I focus more on bigger projects like Arbitrum, Zksync and Layer Zero.

I haven't tried joining testnet incentive projects but it sounds interesting. Based on what I've read, huge profit could be earned from it but I guess it still needs knowledge and skills which is actually important for projects that aim for success. It will surely require time and effort but those who are planning to join this type of project need to be skeptical because scams and fake projects are still everywhere.

There will be no problem here if you use a new wallet address when you join, and I believe that this won't be a problem at all. This is simply a form of testing the products of a project and most of us use those tokens with no actual value for practice.

It's surprising to see that most people don't know about testnet or retroactive, for me it's quite popular and known since 2021. I have seen a lot of people who have earned great rewards either from the testnet or from retroactive. It's not like airdrop spam, testnet requires you to work hard and take the time to experience the product seriously and give feedback to the development team. This not only gives us income but also helps us to improve our knowledge of the market.

I become interested on this task after the success of Aptos. Actually I missed a lot of opportunity like this especially on the DEX test part which do the same airdrop to all early users. I believe this is now the hot source of valuable airdrop in crypto.

Thanks for the list! I hope that you will consistently update it and please include the official link just to make sure we are dealing with the right project.

Yes and good for those who do it. Actually I missed this one cause recently I just been active on testnet and doing soem task for somr available one. But I am indeed searching for others which can also give good rewards like aptos project.

Maybe sui network, arbtirum and zksync. But there are more other potential ones too and I hopiny could bag some crazy rewards from it too.

After APT created the testnet wave, people are turning to the Suinetwork project, but this makes Sui's discord as well as the testnet faucet encounter too much traffic making it trouble. They have announced that they have no plans for any airdrop yet, with this information I believe many will give up but I will continue to pursue Sui's testnet. I also joined the aptos testnet, it's really hard to make a profit during this bear season but the testnet has given me a considerable profit.

Testnet incentive projects?

I haven't tried that yet Sir, so I don't seem to be familiar with it either. All I can say is that apart from bounty campaigns and airdrops, crypto trading is one of the main ways for us to earn cryptocurrency. And in addition to this, for beginners, the crypto faucets can also generate free altcoins that are only a small amount that some can get. And the third is playing of crypto gambling, where others gamble here because they dare to get their luck, that's why the risk of entering here is quite high.

And if you have other skills that you can offer such as making avatars, signature banners, and so on, you can also offer your services here on the forum platform that you can see with other members here.

That’s crazy amount for testing. I am not sure how it is done and who is allowed to do it but is it possible for non technical backgrounds to fulfil their requirements and get paid for it? Like I might be able to spare lot of time for such project. But I’m not sure what does test net is? Do we have to check something related to their coding and stuff? If that’s it then I am out of competition already. Lolz.

I have also seen few people asking for testnet coins which means it needs additional investment to buy these so test coins and then the real stuff starts right?

Out of those all testnets that you've worked with, how many of them became successful with their launching and how many have paid you actually with their tokens?
Not yet received so far as Ive done recently all of these Ive mentioned. But dont worry I'll definitely update this thread or even the list of testnet that Ive been monetized.

However, as you've said, one should be careful and still cautious and do protocols that don't entirely trust them with your resources.
Yes, and dont use main wallet for receiving tokens if its a live mainnet instead create a new one for safety. We dont know what kind of threat could be present especially they are running on testnet.

Looks like you missed some news these days, testnet participants for Aptos project got big rewards, for each tester they get 150 APT tokens and Aptos have been listed and reach ATH $50 on Binance. Maybe no one is selling at ATH, but yesterday's price hovering around 10$/APT is not a small amount. These are huge rewards, bigger than any current bounty or airdrop campaign. Testnet is not new but a lot of people still doubt about it and don't believe in it, until Aptos makes a difference and now people start flocking to testnet.

Some may succeed, and some might not just like the recent big airdrop and those who are able to adopt at the early stage received a huge airdrop.
Testnet are also an Airdrop I guess, though it's an incentive based but still you can't enjoy that money not until they are able to get public and listed on some exchange. I didn't experience to try any testnet yet, so thanks for giving out this list and maybe, I can try this as well.

ever since Aptos soared giving out freebies to their testnet users and being listed on major exchange sites, testnet airdrop hunters started popping up again and creating a lot of spam also burdening every existing server, for example Shardeum doesn't work well also one other addition i.e. SUI is also overloaded spam on their discord because of yesterday's Aptos effect where almost every user earns thousands of dollars in short that's cool when the market is bearish and people are getting free money from Aptos

I get a good reward from aptos and the next potential reward may come from sui. I get this to support my argument https://research.binance.com/en/analysis/aptos-sui-report

I do believe sui will be listed on binance and FTX at the launch of token. As far as i know there are not airdrop task for next phase of incentivized testnet. I have been running validator for sui (devnet). The next phase will be started in the next weeks.

I have no experience joining incentivized testnet projects but I believe this is a good idea for those who have a lot of free time.
Offering skills like managing a campaign or any related crypto works that use the skill is somewhat also a good idea. However, with the strong competition we've seen and a lot of members who are offering such services, it is difficult for beginners to take that offer, and those who have a long experience and good portfolio will able to get the opportunity.
