I will work on an iOS wallet, will make an electrum like version - Light, supporting segwit / multisig and LN.

That's quite a big one-man-project! But if you manage to create such a wallet for iOS, you'd probably can easily sell it for a few $ inside of the app store.

I believe there are quite some people who'd love to have such a fully functional wallet for their iOS device. I, personally, wouldn't mind paying a few dollars for a nice-looking fully functional mobile wallet (especially if there is no good wallet available).

IMO you'd deserve a few dollars per download.

It will be 100 % free to use, I will start working on it in 2019
That's a good idea but it takes years before you can make a perfect wallet without a team.

Anyway, you can try to use a simulator like iAndroid where you can install android apps/electrum, just found a source while searching for android emulator from here https://tricksempire.com/iandroid-android-simulator-iphone-ipad-ios/

I don't know how safe it is to use but since, you are planning to make a watch only wallet this might be a good alternative solution.

You are always free to create your own wallet (and preferably share it with the community)  Tongue

The problem is that a very small minority of techy people does use an iphone / iOs.
Most techies/developers prefer full control over their device, open source and a fair price. Apple's products are exactly the opposite.

And that's mostly the reason why you see a big range of awesome applications (wallets, bitcoin-related and not-bitcoin-related) for android, but almost none for iOs.
Actually, i am not sure whether i have met any IT-guy with apple products at all yet.

Devs do not use Apple products (or microsoft or whatever) and tend to use Open source, I have never used any OS than Linux so I can relate, but these devs have family members and relatives using iPhones.

I wanted to set some wallets to non tech people who just need to view their assets sizes and values.

I have tried ArcBit and BitWallet, none of them work with addresses of a segwit multi-sig wallet.

Ocular does not work either.
You can check other wallets for IOS check this list of wallets from here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/
Check the GreenAddress wallet first I use it before when I have a iPhone device and it also has watch-only feature so maybe this is what you're looking for.

Other list of wallets for IOS you can check it from here https://bitcoin.org/en/wallets/mobile/ios/

And I think you can make a watch only wallet on blockchain wallet by importing public key.

Edit: Blockchain segwit wallet hasn't implemented yet.

I checked ALL the ios wallets on the link, none of them have any feature to watch a segwit wallet or even a simple segwit address.

We need a serious wallet.

There are definitely more (and better) wallets available for android. But there are still some for ios which do offer watching addresses.

Besides ArcBit, BitWallet also offers to import a xpub (which lets you view generate and view your receiving addresses).

If you only want to watch the addresses, but don't need real 'wallet functionality', you might as well use Ocular. This is a simple address tracker to view the balance.

I have been trying to find an iPhone btc wallet supporting watch only for a multisig segwit wallet (2 public keys) - or at least watch a list of btc addresses generated by that segwit multi-sig wallet.

To my surprise, there is not a single wallet that offers anything close to what I need, the best I could find was ArcBit and its features are extremely limited.

Is there any wallet with some advanced features ? if no, we should definitely make one.
