Bitcoin had since been a very volatile asset after it came into the adoption phase and this forum had been a place for illiterates to graduates where it doesn't matter where you come from, what's your caste, creed, religion, etc., what is your occupation, what is your education, but if you've got enough knowledge about BTC and even if you're a 10th class fail or whatsoever, you can still earn a living on this forum through many ways (mostly known of these are signature campaigns). Of course, We need a forum to discuss about bitcoin, altcoin, and other development stuff than it needs us. Because of the forum and other platforms, the cryptocurrency is spreading across different countries new developers and crypto enthusiasts are born and it is needed for new generations. But now I guess some universities are offering courses about blockchain already which is really good. A whole lot of information on bitcoin is not certain from this site. This site is where most of those information are being shared for others to read. If you go on twitter they make recent updates on bitcoin which come from the bitcoin community on twitter. They are other websites like cointelegraph.com that share some co-operate information which may interest you. Just read vast not on this site alone.

I think the last point you made is directed at me lol. Before I started Bitcoin things were not really good for me like it is now, but right now I'm in a better position than I was then. Although back then I was living with my father who later fell ill and died, things were really difficult for me then and I couldn't afford anything. And then I discovered Bitcoin and when I did, I started working hard towards it. It took me some time before things got better.

I was able to raise myself to my current level through what I have been able to get from Bitcoin. And now I'm trying to do other businesses as well and help myself. I honestly owe big thing of my life for bitcoins and I am sure that I will be always grateful to bitcoin in all possible ways.

yes. btc is created for people to have use something for paying or for recieving money but people didnt expect that btc can also be useful on other things aside from this . also i believe that there are already forums that talks about btc , cryptos and blockchain just before bitcointalk created . however this forum only became popular because of campaigns and stuffs like that. we are still people and we can still live even without btc and bitcointalk but i confess that i have been more knowledgeable with the help of this forum

Bitcoin offers many advantages, full of controversy because it contradicts a system that has existed since decades ago. Change is not easy to accept, like a revolutionary process that requires a very long time.

For me, this forum has become an effective place to study and discuss, to be one of the most effective side jobs as a bounty hunter, and I know many new friends from here. In this difficult situation, the crypto world can still provide many benefits, we can still trade and hunt bounties, many people have lost their jobs and difficulties in this situation. So be thankful because we can get something valuable from this ecosystem.

At least for me, I can say no to all of those statements. I'm not even sure where the "colonial regime" reference came from.

Since I wasn't one of the super-early adopters and got interested in bitcoin relatively late, it hasn't made me wealthy by any means. Had bitcoin never been invented, I'd probably be doing about the same as I am now--and I'm not complaining about my life and how it's turning out.

I've read tons of "bitcoin changed my life" threads since I've been a member here, and it always puzzles me. I can't tell whether the folks writing them are being honest or whether such sentiments are a way to pad out a thread for a sig campaign. You never know on bitcointalk. And usually I find such posts and threads woefully short on details, i.e., exactly what has bitcoin (or the forum) done to improve one's life so dramatically. Those people never seem to say.

Before I know about BTC I just had a regular job and no idea what to do in future, and lost in my mind always trying to find a good way to gain some money online, working from home

Bitcoin was not created as a tool to solve poverty, a lot of people had succeed and survived even before the existence of bitcoin. Bitcoin created a new gateway of payment and transaction, it is true that it brought a lot of opportunities but it was not aimed to create someone who owns it to become rich. And aside from the forum, there are a lot of sources where you can learn about crypto, if this was not created I think people who are into crypto will be on the same group somewhere else to share ideas and knowledge about crypto.

Having to know about bitcoin and this forum is like, I'm ahead with others when it comes to this information about cryptocurrency and financially compared to other people at my age. What I'm proud of this knowledge I have, is that I'm already earning even though I'm still a student while some people of the same age as me were still depending too much on their parents. And also the knowledge I have that I can definitely use in the future. This forum also helped me a lot to discover and learn more.

I think that some of those things are an overstatement, but it's surely good to have such a community as well as Bitcoin. Bitcoin made a big impact on my life, and so did Bitcointalk. It's good to stay in touch (especially, during the pandemic), to see different opinions and join discussions on relevant topics. However, being critical towards the government or whatever the colonial regime point is about doesn't necessarily have to involve Bitcoin and this forum. And, of course, many people who are rich don't know about Bitcoin, and I am pretty sure that there are people who know but are poor anyway. Not to mention the provocative name of the thread, suggesting that without Bitcoin one doesn't have any achievements or happiness.

I can partially agree with you. Yes, the control of states and third parties over money can sometimes be disturbing. But let's not forget that we have come to the point where we are today from the past. We presented most of this control to the managers on a golden platter. We can criticize the structure in monarchic administrations. But since we think that most of the world is governed by democratic ways, we know that if we are not satisfied with these rulers, we can change them in certain periods.

Bitcoin is deeply affecting our lives and will continue to affect it. The forum has fundamentally changed my life. However, this does not make us see our past life as a purely witchcraft activity.

If not anything we are better of among our peers since we do learn a lot, we are able to generate a lot and we do help a lot through our donations that is why we are been envied. I know many will disagree and think we keep BTC and the forum running which is like 90% true.

This bitcointalk forum really gave me a lot of useful knowledge from many members. I found the decentralized world more complex than I thought. political conspiracy theories of many large countries and how whales manipulate the market based on trader psychology, etc. It really made me enlighten a lot of knowledge since I entered this market. The financial sector isn't as easy as I thought. Besides, big projects of millions of dollars in profit also started here. Truly a wonderful and rare forum.

Love this forum to bits, and my life has definitely been all the better for it, but I certainly would hope my life would be better on my own efforts, with or without this forum and all the other things that have given me knowledge, gainful employment etc.

I think the value in this forum really is that you can find, quite easily, dissenting opinion. That's more valuable than other places in other projects where dissenters are only investors. Here, you also meet actual users giving up or rebelling. Right or wrong, that's how it's meant to be.

But here's to being something. On our own. With and without Bitcoin.

I join this forum about 10 days ago since I'm bored about lockdown in my country. I search about top 10 investment in this years, and I found bitcoin as the most greatest investment. The return of bitcoin is really high, and unexpected.

I join this forum to learn about bitcoin's more and more, and how it's work. I have already learn from youtube and blog, but most of them not really explain about bitcoin is it, only promote his service and using his referring code. I have join to cryptotalk and reddit too, but both of them only shit post and spamming. When I join this forum, it's really cool to look how senior member have excellent explanation about bitcoin. I hope I learn more with many members here.

But we must admit, this forum offers a lot information than other forums out there. Also, those knowledge I build right now was came from this forum. I have interested about how this bitcoin and blockchain works and how trading is beneficial to us. And i was a total noob back then, though there are also some vague terms and topic before that i kinda do not understand well but with an urge to learn, pairing with other resources like youtube is a great help.

But at some point, if ever i never knew this forum exists and my interest in bitcoin is strong. Some websites will also give some info that i need, so it is not fair to say that we are poor without bitcoin and btt forum.

This forum isn't the alpha and omega of Bitcoin knowledge, you can learn a lot about Bitcoin from reading good books, blog posts from experts, listening to podcasts or watching videos, or even reading bitcoin's developers mailing list.

You're assigning to Bitcoin properties that it doesn't have - it can't solve poverty or topple empires, it even struggles to achieve wider adoption first.

At the early stage of bitcoin, this forum serve as the best community for the movement. Most of the early projects have reference to a thread on CMC. It served more than bitcoin objective then and gave opportunity to hang around the forum. The tangible thing I missed so much is the trust for members and technical expertise. We are more into the economic aspect of the space which everyone can relate with outside the forum, it will demand more work in the long-term.
