have you reported this one, seems as not legit, it is offered by "coinbase extension" and last updated in January 2020? I could not find that Coinbase is actually offering something similar.
I didn't report it for the same reason. I am not very familiar with Coinbase and I don't know if they have such extensions. I can't provide any proof that the extension is fake to send a valid report. I noticed that it hasn't been updated for about a year. Not sure whether to think that is a good thing since it's been there for a long time, or it's bad, and simply means that no one came across it yet to report it and have it removed.

Crocobit is added to the list, it is not supported by Google Chrome, but seems legit for advanced users (scams are not usually built to trick people to get into developer mode and install something)

Equal wallet is not added, since I tried it and could not connect to the wallet, seems that does need ages to do so, and based on that could not verify that even support BTC, there is only ETH and Binance

regarding equal.tech, I did not find that it is supporting BTC, just ETH and ERC-20 tokens, am I missing something?

I have no idea. Personally, I haven't tried that one yet.
I saw that the description on the google chrome store says that it also supports Bitcoin.

Quote
• Send, store and receive Ethereum and all Ethereum based tokens.
• Send, store and receive BNB and all BEP-2 tokens
• Send, store and receive Bitcoin
• Send, store and receive other blockchain assets as they become available inside the wallet

What do you think of Oxygen - Atomic Crypto Wallet?
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oxygen-atomic-crypto-wall/fhilaheimglignddkjgofkcbgekhenbh

I've never heard of that wallet before, so I'm curious if anyone used it before?

I have saw this one, but number of users is actually too small (around 170), and I did not decided to put it on the list

@FatFork, thanks for suggestions, will take a closer look at Crocobit, and add it to the list

If someone feels like having a closer look or reporting this extension, just make a search for 'Coinbase Send/Receive extension'. It's the first web store entry that pops up.

On Mozilla add-ons I also noticed Coinbase extension and I don't think that is official or legit.
A Coinbase send and receive wallet extension is also available on chrome web store, not just on Mozilla add-ons. What is worrying is that it has over 1000 downloads and a rating of 4.5/5. If it turns out to be fake, the rating alone can trick many newbies. I tried to find some more info on the website if Coinbase offers any type of extensions, but I couldn't find any.

If someone feels like having a closer look or reporting this extension, just make a search for 'Coinbase Send/Receive extension'. It's the first web store entry that pops up.

Like I said before, people should watch out when installing wallet extensions because there are many fake wallets.
For example simple search of term 'bitcoin wallet' on chrome web store showed me fake Samourai Wallet extension that does not exist officially, and I know scammers created many fake electrum extension in past.
On Mozilla add-ons I also noticed Coinbase extension and I don't think that is official or legit.

Double and triple check before installing any extension.
Very well said. Hackers are also taking over through creation of fake wallet extensions. I also haven't seen Coinbase announcing officially of having their extension wallet.

- Greenaddress - does not have web extension, it is pure web wallet, so it is not for the list
Before, it's easier when there's Green Address Wallet but blockstream has removed the support into it and made a newer version but no longer supporting an extension wallet. I have no idea if they have plans of making the newer Green version having it again on browser's extension.

you can add https://equal.tech/ you can find them ANN page https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-equal-blockchain-made-simple-2814625 Their focus is DAPP but it can be considered a good wallet to save Bitcoin because you can extract the private key and export to any other wallet or withdraw money with it.

https://greenaddress.it/en/: well known google extension wallet.
https://github.com/bitpay/copay: other well know wallet

i can add Jaxx but they are buggy wallet and it is risky to use it.

thanks for review and additions, but could not include them in the list

as far as I go through your propositions, there are following:
- Equal tech - does not support BTC, only ETH and ERC-20 tokens, so will not be included
- Copay.io - extension is not supported anymore, and was not updated since 2017, would not could on them as well
- Greenaddress - does not have web extension, it is pure web wallet, so it is not for the list

I wonder if some of these wallets offer Lightning support? This would make sense for small transactions.
I found a good Lightning wallet for Telegram. It's called LNTXBOT. It would be good if there is something similar for the web browser as well.

actually there is a few extension for LN, I will make a list in another topic, not to mix with these that are using regular BTC

I noticed several fake wallets after looking at Chrome web store for few minutes...

yeah, there is a plenty of fake wallets, and I do not suggest this wallets for any large funds or long-term holding, it is just for the ease of use, when you are browsing web, and small amounts
edit: you should check grade on Google Chrome, and do a fast scam check before installing it, as good practice, never just install
moreover, what was always good to repeat, one should bear in mind that fees adjustments are scarce within these solutions, and fees could actually eat-up your balance for smaller transactions

Nice list, but I would not suggest keeping any larger amount of bitcoins on any extension wallet and especially if it is not open source.
Someone could just create fake extension for stealing private keys so people should watch out for that, and there is also a question of privacy and if extension is tracking you and collecting information about wallet activities.

have not tried browser extenstion for btc wallet but if blockchain.com should create one, many users will likely use them

about torus, can all of them connect to uniswap like metamask, if you have tried it?
i have been using metamask heavily these days just to save myself from sending eth to exchanges and withdrawal fees. torus would be a good one if possible that is can be used to bet and trade.

Torus does not have an approved web extension yet, it is still pending approval by Google Chrome

you can use their web wallet, which actually allows sending ETH, I made a Torus review with other web3 wallets, that are not actual extensions, and do not provide you instantly with your private keys, they provide you with log-in parameters, username and password for usage, you can check it here:

it is a list of web browser extension wallets,
You must change the title thread if you list web browser extension only.

title thread changed to reflect web extensions only

TORUS wallet
still in beta phase and not approved by Google Chrome, yet another open source solution, that can be checked on their git-hub
will be updated when the wallet is released for users by Google Chrome

Project Git-hub page:
https://github.com/torusresearch/torus-extension

I see this wallet from ethereum only.

https://app.tor.us/v1.9.2/wallet/home

yes, it is a multi wallet chain, but does not support BTC at the moment, that is why I have put that it will be updated when released by Google Chrome, I will strike-through it for the moment, thanks for review

~snip

I'm familiar on Math wallet and I can vouch for that since I have no issue ever since I use it. Maybe you should add Bitamp wallet if your category is a Web wallet. Besides that I'm wearing there signature campaign. I'm using there wallet too for storing my funds that dedicated for my gambling and other activities. So far I don't have any using it since I love there simple and convinient wallet for my SegWit and legacy wallet.

I am not here a lot, but since have searched for web browser wallet that is suitable for BTC, would like to put here a list of web browser extension wallets for other forum members review, it is made without recommendation for any of them, and I am using it for small amounts only
Two things that one has always to bear in mind before installing and using web browser extension wallet are:
- authenticity, check scores and number of users, here Google chrome extensions will be presented
- fees, these wallets could be easy to use, but would lack some fee adjustment settings, or these would be buried down for advanced users, so you could end paying high fees, especially for small amounts

Disclaimer: I would never recommend using these wallets for long-time HODL, or storing of high value, for any cryptocurrency, BTC included

As history thought us, first wallet in an add-on for Chrome form was Bitcoin wallet developed by Andrew Toth, maybe some old users will provide even older add-on wallet version?

Here is the list:
1. Liquality wallet
2. Guarda wallet
3. Torus wallet
4. Math wallet
5. Crocobit wallet

would not list exchange extensions, like Coinbase wallet extension, that is providing additional services to your exchange account, and are not seen as really wallet from my point of view

LIQUALITY wallet
- this is an open source wallet, that did not reached 1k users milestone yet, but it is a promising solution
- support BTC, ETH and ERC-20 tokens
- support atomic swaps
- transaction fee could be set as slow / average / fast, with cost indicated when hovering above the term

official page: https://liquality.io/

Literature:
https://bitcoindev.network/bitcoin-wallet-extension/ - here you can a nice explanation how to work with Liquality for experienced developers, that do not need built-in simplicity

GUARDA wallet
- this is a wallet that have all types of deployment - as desktop, web, mobile and chrome extension as well, but without broad usage and just above 2000 users
- support BTC, ETH and broad number of other coins/tokens
- two step verification to restore a wallet, with backup file and password

official page: https://guarda.com/chrome-extension/

edit: TORUS will be updated when released by Google Chrome

MATH wallet
- this is a wallet that have all types of deployment - as web, mobile and chrome extension as well, with more than 10000 downloads, and nice score on Google Chrome
- support BTC, ETH and all major block-chains

official page: http://mathwallet.org/

Crocobit wallet
- it is a wallet there is not available on Google Chrome, and should be installed from developer mode (this is not recommended for non-advanced users)
- support BTC, ETH and all major block-chains
