Interesting. Would you-hypothetically- be willing to come out to a piece of land I own and do the work? I wouldn't require that you maintain it, just for a birthday event or something.

This could be an option. Though I think it would be more expensive and probably it would be more difficult to organize taking the bird-eye/satellite images of it.

It's a neat idea, to be sure. What does 1 sq. foot look like from space (just how visible would the images be?). I personally wouldn't use it, but I feel like there are lots of people who would (proposals anyone? Nevermind the jumbo-tron).

My virtual friends came up with idea of a service that allows printing large images on the ground (so that they can be seen from space). Do you think it is a good business idea or not?
