Everyone mining with Slush, restart your mining clients and make sure the stratum domain resolves to an address in the Amazon cloud. It's 54.214.10.135 when I check here.
Before I restarted mine it still used the old compromized server and we don't want to do the laundry for the bad guys do we?

Sorry to be a noob, but how do I do that?

For those confined to quarters:

FYI Pool hashrate is still above 7Thash/s and it reports new blocks normally. Please be patient, I'm working hardly to get website back online.

I'm sticking with Slush as well... I just hope he can get it back up by tomorrow.  I suppose I could always just hop in a different pool for the week I'll be gone and then move back to Slush's when I have access to my mining computer again.

I've had good experiences with bitcoin.cz and Slush's pool.  Slush0 seems like a good and honest operator.  I'm sticking with bitcoin.cz through the down time.  I think he'll be as fair as he can in making it worth our while.

This is exactly what I am wondering. Didn't know if I should join an interim pool in the meantime?

I'm also in Slush's pool but hadn't made a forum account yet.  It says I'm mining at my normal 91 Mh/s.  It doesn't say I'm getting any shares though.  It just says Shares: 0 accepted and then occasionally flashes something about no more backup something...  With the site and database being all weird, am I still earning shares, or just wasting my time?  It should be noted I'm on an alternate server.  I can't connect to the main, but others report the alternate working perfectly well.   I need to get this fixed ASAP as I'll be gone from tomorrow night until next Monday, and would love to be mining during that time.

I am mining like normal in Slush's pool, is it safe?  Should I bother?

Oh cool, thanks Kruncha.  Don't know why I thought he hosted the forums.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's Slush's pool, he has a thread here, but doesn't host this site.

His site is down, and shares aren't stored on the database, but he will pay those who carry on mining a share of the blocks solved.

I assume like the message says, mining can continue and we'll still get cred?
