I was just wondering, are there any laws regarding to weed? For example, are Canadians allowed to drive after smoking or is there a specific limit?

Good question! Each province is responsible for their own laws regarding driving. All consider weed impairment the same as alcohol, but each have different methods for detection and different penalties.
Your friend is wrong. It may relax him so he enjoys driving more or notices different things, but it slows down reaction. In driving, reaction is everything.
This is the reason driverless cars are inevitable. They can notice more and react faster. They don't get high, and they don't mind if you do.
