I had quite a hard time really following the details of your message but if you suspect the slightest discrepancy in your communication with the person, you should consider getting a new escrow.

If you are not sure about the person you are dealing with then don't do, Why need different emails ? that part alone is questionable .

Its not weird, thats hiw the scammers works to keep you in a hurry and confused state so they can take away the money from you before you realizing that you fell into their trap.

I would say, better choose to trade on a platform like traditional or p2p trading exchanges than doing trades with someone personally who we just met online.

I guess it's better we know what site you are referring to so people can help you vetify whether it's reputable enough. An escrow services provider has to reputable/trustworthy provider, or you simply use a automated escrow service that holds user fund securely on neutral address/contract which can only be release/unlocked once the terms of service has been fulfilled. The peers also need an arbiter/arbiters who can resolve dispute if either user have issues or are unsatisfied with the transaction/service.

OP, the perfect solution is mention by DdmrDdmr but also have consequences so I will advice you to be well prepared.
I will advice you read and understand forum rules in every setting next time so you won't get into things like this.

<…>
If that is a concern, you should try to provide your proof to the person who gave you the negative trust, which he may or may not believe. Be as clear and explicit as possible depicting the events and providing the proof you say you have. Nobody else will be able to remove that negative trust, although you could also open a thread in Reputation to defend your case publicly. Bear in mind that this sometimes turns out wrong, as the debate sometimes leads to more people distrusting the defendant due to the proof provided by one party or another.

Regarding your first negative Trust from 2017, that is going to prove to be even more difficult to tacle, since @Vod has declared having left the forum.
I don't understand how the issue start but he left because he have a lot to do and also because of an old issue that happened between him and the NastyMan. He said he has officially started his own business,  no longer need any investment in the corporation but will come back once he get a certain amount of coins Matthew embezzled.

Since your rank doesn’t allow you to post images on a post (you need to be a Jr. Member or above), and you’re not in possession of a Copper Membership (the other alternative), I figure you can’t post them on a PM either.

In any case, you can simply upload the image to a platform such as Imgur, and place the link in your post or PM. Whomever is concerned will follow the links to see the images.

So I'm trying to purchase from a seller and he messages me from a different name. He then emails me from a very similar name that is on the Escrow list and I cant confirm the email as its hidden. They then switches emails after they realized that I thought i was talking to the escrow person.
I see. So a seller from this site instead of PMing you contacted you via email, and the email address they contacted you from was very similar to the name of the escrow you are planning on using? And then they switch back to a different email address after you point that out to them? That sounds like they were trying to impersonate your escrow.

I get a message back with the fees of the escrow and address to send the BTC to with a quote of what i sent but the person I received the message from was my own account.
Are you sure you aren't just misreading the PM, or looking in your Outbox instead of your Inbox? The only way to actually receive a PM from yourself is if you send one to yourself. If you didn't do this, and you are sure you aren't misreading anything, then you should probably change your account password. Also check this link to look for any IP addresses you don't recognize accessing your account: https://bitcointalk.org/myips.php

It wasnt demanded and i contacted the escrow earlier and recieved a message back from them as thats the one i wanted to use. The seller recomended the same one which confirmed that was the one we were going to use.

Just saying, scammer may impersonate of popular escrow service and trick you to send the money. Verify everything before sending money. Always contact in bitcointalk, don't trust anyone in other platform.

It is pretty much impossible to follow your story, but it all sounds very fishy. What is the name of site you are using? Is it this site? What is the "escrow list" you are referring to? Have you used it before? Have you traded with this person or this escrow before?

Its a sell from this site and the escrow list is this one https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-bitcointalks-escrow-providers-ranking-blacklist-avoid-scam-276897

(the same person they recommended to escrow it).
This alone is enough to give me pause. An escrow should be mutually agreed. If one party demands you use a specific escrow, then that can be a sign of a scam attempt.

They then switches emails after they realized that I thought i was talking to the escrow person. Now the email is random letters but user name is correct. So i sent an PM to the Escrow person it looked like he was to escrow the transition (the same person they recommended to escrow it). I get a message back with the fees of the escrow and address to send the BTC to with a quote of what i sent but the person I received the message from was my own account. This would be my first purchase from the site and I'm just a little nervous about sending $4200 in BTC to an address received from myself after all this. I thought about maybe the guy goofed and used the wrong email the first time and has multiple accounts and doesn't want them affiliated together but then why the self received message? Any thoughts or is this normal activity?
