Well post deletion is allowed in most boards, so one can do that. What comes after depends on who picks the bone, if they decide to investigate and if anything conclusive appears related to a mal practice, be it bannable (unlikely) or red tagable (a bit more likely).

If you want candidates, here are 200 de-ranked cases of accounts which have at least earned 1 merit, and that have been de-ranked due to post deletion:

If someone deletes all his post doesn't that mean that the account has either been sold or will be sold or the owner has something to hide which caused him to delete everything. That sort of thing is allowed?

@Coinlocket$ brought this case up back in October 2018 (see The case of one account with no posts and 250 merit). The context of the referenced thread is a similar case of de-ranked forum members after deleting a bunch of posts, to either give their account a fresh start or sell it over to someone.

Google comes in handy for cases such as these:

So back in June 2018 the account was a Full Member, and checking a DB dump I’ve got, by early November 2018 he became a Newbie (post deletion therefore took place somewhere in between).

Thanks for clearing that up. It all makes sense now. Strange things are afoot in Bitcointalk Grin!

He was probably a Full Member when the system was implemented and at some point deleted all his posts which made his ranking become Newbie again.

That person just deleted his posts. That's why you can't see his/her posts. And s/he has been a full member when it was airdropped I mean merit count started.

Just stumbled on this particular newbie profile whose merit : 100 which I felt was quite strange. Checked the profile on bpip.org and it stated that merit received was 0, but current merit : 100.
