So I've been mining with my 1.5mh/s cpu(just playing around) and noticed this weird thing. The 1.5mh/s I'm contributing to the pool isn't showing up and about 3 minutes later BAM! a full 3 seconds of 180mh/s. My theory here is that some sort of glitch happened that 'saved up' the hashing powers of my cpu and released it all at the same time......What do you guys think? : Huh

Your hash is too slow to produce an accurate data. Anyway stop using your cpu before you spoil it as its not worth it Smiley

RELEASE THE BEAST!!
Nah. Actually you sir are wasting worthful ressources.

Um...Using a Mac with 1.5mh/s to mine for fun? I don't see how I'm wasting any resources here...

You are slowly ruining your hardware, and it is definitely a waste of electricity. You are not making any profit through mining.

If it's just for "fun", then go ahead Smiley

They mean your consuming more power than you will earn in BTC.

Also you may be introducing allot of wear and tear on your system.  Keep close tabs on your temps while your having fun.  It won't be fun if you burn up your machine. Smiley

According to the bitcoin x calculator, it will take him 7893 years, 30 days (can vary greatly depending on your luck) to find a block.

At least there is a chance, I have seen USB eruptor found a block but too bad its in a pool.

With that hashing power, it's a miracle he even gets any shares.

^at such a low hash rate, he will NEVER get accurate estimates.

Your 'hashrate' as shown on the pool website is calculated based on the number of shares you find.
With your 1.5mh/s you were lucky to find a share rather quickly, hence the website is 'thinking' that you have way faster gear than a cpu. Over time the hashrate shown on the website will be more accurate.
