To avoid re-use of the Qr code of one product on another, the consumer will have the task of recording the "consumption" and the product will be "consumed" if the same QR code is re-scanned. This will expose a fraud occurring on the part of the producer.
The final consumer is encouraged to record the final step in the life of the product by receiving a small bonus to be used as a discount for the next purchase.

Counterfeit products will still exist, no matter what Blockchain technology they use. Consumer education and methods for consumers to spot the difference is the only solution to this problem.

Some consumers buy these counterfeit products knowingly, because they cannot afford the authentic or original product that are made in Italy, so how will Blockchain technology stop that?

Curious to know a little more detail about this project. 

Yeah, but if the things are not done right one can end up boycotting the products from a honest farm because somebody "stole" their QR codes.


There are possible solutions for handling the counterfeits too, but they are not perfect and need help from the merchants or customers.
That's why I was asking OP...

Oh well, maybe I'm overthinking it. Time will tell / validate (or not) their approach.

Nothing stops something from claiming to be something else, but the point of the blockchain is not to verify validity.  Example, a dairy farmer can claim his cows are grain fed only.  But once a fraud is discovered, the blockchain makes it easy to identify the source and take whatever action, such as boycotting their milk.

This is quite an issue for all the systems which promise to trace the life of any product infact. When the product is ready there is no way for the customer to be able to confirm it's original based solely on what is in the blockchain and i never heard anything convincing on how to tie everything togheter either.

I guess in here as well, you will have to trust blindly what is written in the blockchain. Otherwise they will become trillioner with this idea. 

All right, sounds interesting. But what stops somebody counterfeit a genuine Italian product and put the QR code of the genuine one? And how will the consumer know he bought the right product or only a clone with a copied QR code?

Through a special app, easy to use, with which  he can scan Qr code, and so have an eye on all the information related to the origin of the product (inserted in due time by the manufacturer on blockchain), processing steps, organoleptic properties, even to the identity and the history of the producer.
