Any fluctuations of prices seems to be unpredicted, we know already how market moves and in a certain thing that it could be affected also by some factors just like FUD's and some market manipulation. We have been stuck for almost 3 months since from a huge dip but looking it's price today, we're just moving out from that.

Just hit $9700. Up >6% last 24 hours. Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?

It was expected one,but it doesn't happen. The value is increased upto 9900$,then start to fluctute towards 8500$.Last two days, the price is struggling in between 8000-8300$.Now the happiest news is bitcoin price had reached 8500$ again.Just hold your breath and bitcoin till tomorrow. You will get some more dollars.

Right before the Friday dip, I was contacted by two people offering to buy ~1btc each from me the next day.

Same thing is happening right now. Multiple people offering to buy ~1btc and asking if I have the volume. I am not sure if they are speculators, data miners, pumpers or what. Probably data mining. The ones today each had ~50btc trade volume.

Someone is pumping the price today, but your buy-wall's not going past my margin  Roll Eyes

Edit: As before, they never followed through.

Bitcoin is not pumping, it's price just growing. 6% for 24 hours is not a big deal for Bitcoin Smiley Waiting for something bigger.

Bitcoin has been lacking compared to ethereum lately. Even litecoin has been stronger the past few days. Ethereum is waiting for some regulation news on 7th of may which are supposed to be good for ethereum. That's why ethereum broke bullish first and it's taking some time for bitcoin to follow, funny that bitcoin is now following ethereum. I'm convinced ethereum will beat bitcoin in a few years.

Just wanted to know, with this regulations going on can we expect a much stable cryptocurrency? Or still we will see crazy volatility of the coins?
Volatility is still something that I expect we are going to be seeing for a long time, and it is a normal thing in the market. However, with the market getting big and increasing in market capitalization, I am very optimistic that over time we will get to have a more matured market than what we may likely have today without much or huge volatility as the case may be. The most important thing is just to know that we are still in the early adoption phase and there is so much still to come for this market.

This is a good price movement since the slight fall in the past few days. Again people are beggining to get their hopes high and expect too much then if their expectation could not be realized they get depressed or dissappointed i think people must think this is how it goes with cryptocurrency. We just enjoy the ride nd be wise on how we trade so that we can profit.
Were seeing a green marks recently so hopefully this is the moment that bitcoin will go up. Yes we must go with the train up and low the bear and bull runs usually happen. Hopefully market of bitcoin could continue pumping and we will see $10k marks.

Very funny, honestly. People like you really do not surprise me anyway since your name implies you have been under hill. All the above, I am not sure we can ever get to this stage at all and that would really end up showing how weak the market is in a case like that.

Moreover, there is simply nothing to make the market get down to that level and everything you have said is basic shit. The market may be volatile and we get to see lower days, but who cares anyway, as those who are smart enough will just keep seeing it as a chance to buy more.

Unfortunately, the consensus conference was not enough to push the price to the levels that we wanted to see. We only peaked at $8700 and then the price goes on to hover around $8100-$8300. So it could be another long a road if we ever to see that 5 digits once again.

I wouldn't say that it's a long road, because that's just how long real bear market recoveries take. But consensus didn't really have an affect on price, as you said, to the disappointment to some people. I didn't expect prices to be moved that much anyways, though.

A lot of people were getting excited when bitcoin was nearing $10k, even though it was clear that the bearish sentiment in the market was still there and isn't going away probably for a long while. The truth is, the rally that we saw in the previous rally a few weeks ago was just natural volatility, and wasn't indicative of bitcoin entering a phase of bullishness.

We will enter the start of the bull market most likely in early to mid 2019, after bitcoin prices bottoms. Definitely not this year.

Seems like we tested 9700, went past it and inmedietly came back down (9630 right now)). 10k in the next 24h? Nah, I don't think we'll get there today, resistance still looks strong.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/goldman-sachs-says-bitcoin-is-not-a-fraud-plans-trading

Maybe this news triggered a small FOMO buying wave? the news could've the "push" some people needed to finally buy. Or it could be the market just doing its own thing.
And you got it right there, because after that $9,700 breaking price slides down until now,and its harder for bitcoin to even hit $9,000 again.

Of course we are. Going to 2 500. This is "real" price. after that to 600-800
Wow, you sound very sure, mate. That price will help you buy as much bitcoin as you can. But yeah, what if it remained that way? How would you feel? When you waste your money over something you believe it will bring you fortune. I believe in bitcoin, and it is not going to $2500, and then $600 as you said. Do not forget that many people still do not know about its existence, and when they do, the price will reach the moon.

Lol. That's a cute assumption. I also believe that even with the market not looking good most of the time this year, bitcoin's trajectory would still be upwards in the long term. With supporters ans believers growing, it's farfetched that it will go that low

That guy is gadamn retarded that has nothing to help this forum but only fud, only fool will believe that bitcoin price will drop and return to $2,500 again..until that man died bitcoin will never fall that way

Even we are increasing in value at low pace, but still the good news is that we are increasing in value. Steady increase is ultimately going to make us dance by the start of 2019. At the moment, what we can do to make all this happen is simply to support bitcoin and spread awareness about the coin because the more investors or you can say precisely buyers, more increase in the prices of the mighty coin.

Well I can take the price anytime of the day. At $8000 a pop? that's still a good price, IMHO. Of course we constantly buying so that enough I guess. We don't need to spread awareness though, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people is fully aware of what bitcoin and crypto can do, its that they are just very reluctant to enter because of the recent government bans/regulations.

You cannot possible think that 2500 will be the price. This is nothing fall is for few hundred in price not in thousands, so breaking to this low level is nearly impossible.
However if you wish to sell at this price your stash i will buy it.
Well things really hard to tell with this system, the price makes people interested with seeing how high or how low it be, the matter is how players react with the sway and how they will manage to take advantage, I'm positive that it won't fall to that level after seeing how support really holding up, if this price between 8k-10k$ then bull run will be much stronger after the second quarter of this year, just keep holding and enjoy the scene that is ongoing right now.

Are you really sure about that? For me its hard to think about because the price right now wasn't doing well and even bitcoin doesn't increase as whats been speculated. Maybe that price right now on ranges until 1000 this year, but in a long run it will crash because of many new eth platform tokens that's showing up in the market.

until recently the market continues to pump up prices, but yet there are no signs yet for the price back feel out at $ 10,000.
I think we should get some positive news so that the price can be as fast as touching on and beyond the numbers we mean.

Next week we will probably here many announcements and news at the Consensus conference which could have at least a short positive effect on the price. So yes a break of the $10k area is imo definitely possible next week. If this will be sustainable when the conference days are over needs to be seen. Twitter should be the ultimate source for news next week!!
it should not just be twitter's releasing news for next week, but we also need some positive news from some of the world's crypto experts for next week. the situation now really becomes a hot potato talked about traders and investors.

The few price pump we experienced in the past few weeks is good, but not what I am personally expecting. If bitcoin can reach and cross the realm of $20k like it happened last December then that is a very welcoming news. I know this price is quite capable of being achieved, but I know it will take quite some time before it do so. I just think it's unnecessary creating threads for any price increase in btc.

I can personally say we shouldn't just be over excited about any little pump in the price of bitcoin. I know many of us are excited when crossed and passed the price of $6k because we might have bought when the price is high, but  there is no need be over joyful about the increase cause there might be a situation when the price of bitcoin will be down drastically. Cryptocurrency is quite unpredictable.

Haven't really felt this "exhilarated" in a while, even though this run started weeks ago with that 1k sudden jump that didn't look back. I know I'm still staunchly pessimist on the direction of Bitcoin for the rest of this year, but you know that tingling sense you get when you see your balances' fiat value just swell back to old familiar territory? When if you'd owned 1 Bitcoin you would actually also see a value close to the 10k total that makes it so easy to estimate?

And we haven't even had Lightning Network in full flow yet...

I think the next 12 to 18 months are gonna be mostly positive for Bitcoin. No reason for you to be pessimistic for the year. The scary-crash time is over. Outside of any major government crackdown things should be good for a while now. Bitcoin is just coming off a crash so it should be growing steadily for a while and then launching into the next boom. Corrections of course all along the way of course, but right now is the perfect time to invest in a long period of growth.
As time passes bitcoin price will go up. It is natural because with every passing day investment ratio increases and so the price. hope till the end this year the price will be more than $11k. I am not talking about $20k or $25k because that is far away but $11k is near and still 8 months to go in this year. $2k is enough growth for bitcoin in 8 months.

We are now just 200 short of reaching 10000, it is going to be very interesting what happens when we reach that price, I'm very sure that there are a significant number of sell orders set at that price so it's possible we are not going to see that price for a long
There are plenty of possibilities for those orders to get cancelled when buying volume increase significantly. If you have noticed in the past, at major levels profit booking may happen but at the same time if bulls are in control then many traders may go for "delaying" their profit booking levels.

it will be a small signal that bitcoin is making a small comeback and that is important after the very difficult start that we got in this year.
'Comeback' sounds as too dramatic term rather than current rally as just part of bitcoin's fluctuations. We have seen many ups and downs like these always. So, this time also bitcoin is proving it one more time.
Well maybe comeback was a word that was too strong but you know what I mean, 10000 is a very strong psychological barrier and surpassing that price will be a small signal that will say to everyone that bitcoin is back, personally I do not think we're going to see prices as high as the ones we saw at the end of the previous year, probably that will happen until the end of this year or maybe until the next year.

Everyone is really jumping for joy when they see the price almost touch $10000 in the last couple of days. But unfortunately, there was a minor dip and we are back to $9100. That's why I always says that we shouldn't get excited, we will get there eventually, but putting to much expectation and then it wasn't meet will put too much emotional stress on you. Just go with the flow because sooner or later we will get touch and even go higher than the elusive $10000 mark.

Yes, that’s a pity because the $10,000 mark is a psychological barrier and if we pass that, price will keep going up. I am not too worried as I’m a long-term hodler, we will just have to wait.

This is correct this is psychological barrier and as such if broken then who knows what will be at the end. This month will be crucial and if this month dont come with breaking 10k then i dont expect to see it after the summer.

Just hit $9700. Up >6% last 24 hours. Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?
Well thats not the really meant don't expect too much as we can see the price still in the range of 9000 dollars maybe by the end of the month or by the mid of this year read those article and news about crypto currencies there will be changes because of some countries banned bitcoin because of some reason it won't affect that big it will totally hit 2-3 percentage of the market.

On this day bitcoin prices go up to $9458 but just a few moments and now the price goes down to $9172 I guess this is a bull trap. I just think if there are come regulation from the government or from some companies that will accept bitcoin then the real pump will happen.

We are almost there and now we need to regroup and try again as the resistance had been prepared and I think we need more days to break that barrier as those people don't want to rise the price at $10k. I'm hoping that this weekend we can make it. Let's push a little harder.

I am still waiting for the price to touch the figure at $ 10,000, from the last 5 days you make this thread, the market has not yet seen starting to re-pump the price. the price to date is still up and down in the order of $ 9,500 - $ 9,200, it looks like we really need price resistance above $ 9,600 so that the price in the $ 10,000 sequence will soon be exceeded in the near future. we also need the support of positive news so that the market can immediately pump the price.

Just hit $9700. Up >6% last 24 hours. Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?
We are now just 200 short of reaching 10000, it is going to be very interesting what happens when we reach that price, I'm very sure that there are a significant number of sell orders set at that price so it's possible we are not going to see that price for a long, but it will be a small signal that bitcoin is making a small comeback and that is important after the very difficult start that we got in this year.
$10k is not possible because now the price is not jumping but increases gradually with the passage of time. 24 hours for hundreds growth is very unnatural. I think it will take some time to reach to $10k, because if it reached to $10k in few days, it will down again due to corrections in the price again and again. So wait for some more time and we will see the growth in the price.

This month will be above 10k for sure. We have all the right signs for this to happen and I dont see anything that could maybe create opposite effect and force price to go down. My estimate is that we could see stable 10k this month for certain price.

Pumping currencies isn't fraud. Look at the USD for instance.

The USD has so much liquidity it is almost impossible to pump (or dump) it to impact the price in any meaningful way. BTC on the other hand ...

What do you mean by you are pumping right now, are you telling that you are person or team behind the bitcoin pump  Tongue. If it is able to sustain a valuation above $10k it would be a great thing as we could see the price moving a couple of thousand dollars if it could break that resistance. It is trading around $9920 and lets see whether it will cross the $10k hurdle.

I think 10K tomorrow will happen and the problem is this pumping has not been entirely successful from the next pump team talking that it will break the value of 15K this month, between believe it or not and I personally conclude this week might be 10K Wink.

We're edging closer to $10k by the minute now.

I think that we may see another dump as we try to break the $10k level, we've seen extremely strong resistance that even if we hit the previous target, prices just correct straightaway. We saw this with when BTC hit $9500 and immediately corrected down to under $9k, although it did later rebound up to where we are now.

I'd give BTC 3 more days to reach $10k, if it doesn't do it in that amount of time even though we're this close, then it's going to affect the psychological side of the traders imho and potentially throw us into a pretty big correction.

Remember on how bitcoin stayed at $9,200 for long days and it didn't pushed through instead it went back to $8,800 - $8,900. The test to see $9,700 has come and we should see it first @ $9,800 - $9,000 before assuming that it can go straight to $10,000 for 24 hours. My opinion is it won't happen and 24 hours wouldn't be enough for that price, let's wait for 2-5 days and that can happen.
remember when price was stuck at $6k range and people were saying it won't go up and everywhere you looked somebody was crying about how bitcoin is falling down to $4k-$2k, etc? and remember when price went up to $8k level in less than an hour just because the dumping could not fight the buy support anymore?
Yep I remember those days when people (panic sellers) keep on whining that bitcoin will no longer move on and won't be back on track but here it goes.

Yes we are now at a moment of tremendous rise, I see this as a clash that happened at the end of 2017. This can be said to be an extraordinary rise and full of positive drama. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency get a positive sentiment and now we are on the digital currency bill is much better than what happened last week. It could be tomorrow we will see rates Bitcoin prices are increasing again and continue to surprise.

But its seems we are above $9700 again so let's see if we can get to $10K. Its too large a wall it front of us so we need a couple more days before we can finally see it broken. Let's say be patience because eventually we will get there.

Of course we're pumping right now. I hope everyone is continuing their support for bitcoin. As of this time investors are investing slowly because they see the slow changes of bitcoin and actually,we can check the price chart. It's a relief when we see it climbing high and we all hope for more. It is a normal thing that happens with bitcoin so we have to release our stress for that.

It's been a while since the price was just lurking around $9,000+ the loss was still there for those who invested last December and January of this year, $10,000 will coming as it was definitely close to our hands reach the real deal would be next price after the break of the resistance it would be stay to the 10k or the corrections will come after that results on the price swing.

Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?

the price is increasing gradually and it is possible to reach the $10,000 in a few days, but it will not reach the $10,000 in the time that you asked. but this is good because we do not have big increases and big falls, so that can give a good image and safety for many people. I particularly buy for the long term, but I like that $10,000 and I hope it reaches and stabilizes at $10,000.

I'm convinced ethereum will beat bitcoin in a few years.

I doubt, bitcoin has more adoption and the price is not stopped so that bitcoin is more likely to grow relative to ETH

just because price is rising, it doesn't mean it is a "pump". you are using the wrong word in a wrong context. you think rise is equal to pump which is obviously a big mistake!
a rise is just a rise, it can have a lot of different reasons and when you see it is a solid rise then it has nothing to do with a "pump". a "pump" is the process of price rising but for fake reasons usually manipulation. this is the most  common thing happening among the altcoins. you can read more about the terms and educate yourself before using it for bitcoin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pump_and_dump

you're making a lot of assumptions based off a single word. Learn to understand context please. I didn't say its a fake pump, I didn't say whales are pumping, dump incoming. I said it is pumping (aka rising) right now. As in Bitcoin just got a nice price boost, we're heading for $10k. Please, learn context.

the words have certain meanings. in case of "pump" it has nothing to do with the context. I do know that you didn't mean to say it is a "pump" but you should have used the word "rise" instead of "pump". these two words do not have the same meaning even though they have a similar result.

and there is no "fake pump" or "real pump". there is just "pump" which is when price of a commodity is increased based on manipulation and it is a form of fraud.

haha ALL words have context. That is the complexity of language! You always have to use context to understand what people say correctly. Pump means a rise. It CAN mean a pump and dump. It can also just mean a rise. Bitcoin started pumping a year ago when it went from $1400 to $3000 in May and early June. That doesn't mean the rise was fake, that simply means the price was surging. I said its pumping now because it was. Bitcoin got a pump from of $500+ yesterday, and nowhere in what I said did I imply a context of a fakeness about the pump, considering that I said this means we should be heading to $10k soon. Clearly if you read my post you would understand the context is that I'm saying we're going up now from the current level to the next level. Most people don't get bogged down in a single word and don't need long descriptions to understand clear context. So like I said, please work on understanding context of what you read. I get that maybe you just think of "pump and dump" now whenever you hear the word pump, but that doesn't mean it has no other meaning or context when using the word. If I meant pump and dump I wouldn't have said the exact opposite in my post! I was very clear, we're pumping!

Probably not since IMO the movement we have seen today is only the natural volatility of bitcoin, nothing more. As of the moment, the price is 9686 USD and it seems to me that there is a resistance going on that will prevent price to go up to the speculated price. I think the thread title needs to be changed though, from "were pumping right now" to "bitcoin price testing the waters". I think it would be more apporpriate.

I think that most of us who are involved in the cryptocurrency market are truly hopeful that the price will again break the $10,000 barrier in the near future, however I believe that even if this happens I do not think this is the expected jump to the great recovery that leads the price to return to new heights never before seen.

Therefore, it is advisable to be very patient in these days of great expectation and avoid making decisions motivated by emotion, because in the same way that the market has taken an important leap these days, in the same way and without warning it could go back again to $8,000 in next days.

We can just expect good things to happen in the upcoming 24hrs time, based on the price pumping that has been happening with minor corrections in between. Whenever majority of the altcoins grow along with bitcoin the growth happens for a longer time period with steadiness. Almost similar growth is taking place at present.

Yes and No. Obviously who knows? Chances are everywhere.

The chart is stating some good movements and positive speculations about continous price rise is predicted in the next following days. But we must understand that even how analyzed well the technical analysis is, it can be spoiled even how good the bullish momentum is.

For a long term traders, does watched it as the purpose is just to hold.

For short term traders, it will be a challenge on what things they should done at the current price behaviour. So all I can say is goodluck.

Finally cracking that $10,000 mark is a great achievement when it happens, but for me the real achievement is when we actually manage to stay above that mark. Forming base support levels above $10,000 is what matters.

I however doubt that it will stay above $10,000 since the main bottom is still far below that mark. Bottom development is a gradual process not caring about all time high peaks.

My best guess is that the bottom development will be >$7000, $7500, $8000, $9000, $10,000 and the list goes on. That's obviously assuming we don't experience another major bull run as the one from last year.

If we do, then we can make larger jumps instead of $500-$1000 steps.

Just hit $9700. Up >6% last 24 hours. Will we see $10k in the next 24 hours?

It's interesting to see that, because the $9500 resistance has just been breached.

However, again, we're seeing a pretty evident pullback when bitcoin hits around the $10k level, even though this time round we have broken the major resistance that was holding prices back for so long.

BTC could break $10k in 24h, there is nothing that says it cannot. However, I believe that even if it does go above $10k the room for growth is pretty small. You have another strong resistance level at $12k, which means that ultimately we are going to see a strong correction even if BTC goes above $10k.

Too early to call it, as we've been in the same scenario only a week ago and it seemed that the fuel ran out at $9700 before it came falling down back to $9000, though there's a huge possibility that we'd break $10k given that we started this week with a solid baseline of $9000-$9400. A much needed correction already took place, which sent us @ $8700 only for the price to recover a few hours later. A well-timed positive news could sent us flying over $10k, though still there's not that much traction for it to push higher than $9700.

Right last time I fully expected a correction back to 8000s before going over $10k. That correction happened and now its back to 9600s/9700s territory so I think its ready to break through the resistance since we just had that correction. It could easily happen tonight, or it could chill in mid-high 9000s for a few days and then make the jump. But it should be soon.

Just like the last time we bounced from 6500 when there was a daily tightening pattern, this time we also had a daily tightening pattern, ethereum broke it first and jumped more than 10% in a very short amount of time, bitcoin followed a bit later though and we did break the last high of 9767 but only briefly, however it does look like it's going to give it another try as we are aproachinig 9700 again.

Seems like we tested 9700, went past it and inmedietly came back down (9630 right now)). 10k in the next 24h? Nah, I don't think we'll get there today, resistance still looks strong.

Maybe this news triggered a small FOMO buying wave? the news could've the "push" some people needed to finally buy. Or it could be the market just doing its own thing.
