it is good that last week candle closed above 30k which is a good sign and a Relief rally is expected soon which might take Bitcoin to 37K but Fear and Greed Index is around 8% which is very low and rarely seen such a weak market sentiment. The devastating crash of Luna has sent shock waves across crypto community globally and its impact is clearly visible on declining marketcap, it will need much time before market confidence is restored.

I actually did this, but with a tiny amount of 100 dollars. It may not be tiny for everyone but in the grand scheme of things I believe that to be quite low amount.

If it goes back up then I will have 500+ or so I am guessing with all the leverage I have and the way it's low right now, I do not believe that Luna will get back though, I bought LUNAUST so that when it's pegged close to 1 dollar again then I will profit a lot. That is the thing, if I lose, then it's just 100 bucks and I won't care too much about it, sure I would be upset about being wrong, but not the 100 bucks. When you see these type of chances appear, you take it, with a small amount and if you are wrong then you will not be upset.

You are right. Bear market is only for utility coins that have real demand. So, bitcoin is store of value and then i focus on privacy coins as they are being used. The thing with monero is that there is already a lot of speculation and greed into monero so it might tank. Zcash is dead already. That is why I got into a new privacy coin that might be a monero killer. There was an asian guy on this forum announced a new privacy coin totally new that is impossible to trace. Once it gets exposure real demand will follow and required by a lot of folks who need it.

Experience wise, you should learn from your past mistakes already. Same as in my case, the bear market in 2018 is really hard to bear but I just sucked it up and keep it under my belt as experience. So the same thing is happening again, so we should be prepared for the worst and let it grind. For sure together we will get past this bear market, just patience is needed so that we can survived again.

Nobody can really know if we are already at the bottom or if we are having maybe another 1 or 2 years of bear market ahead of us. Also i don't think that the death of altcoins is a process that is going so fast that you can actually witness it. Maybe now the whole events around Terra could be one of those rare cases where a pretty big project could die literally within a few days because of that whole UST crash in the last few days. Terra is now at 0,85$ while it was still at above 100$ like a week ago that is absolutely crazy.
Overall i would say the death of all those useless meme-coins has already begun a few months ago because the hype is over and they are now slowly but surely dying. A hefty bear market speeds up this process of course.

Bear or not if the coin doesn't have worth or use in real life I don't think those coins will be here just like memecoins I remember the bear market that last a year or more but after that all the major coins and altcoins. Im sure that people will confuse about that as majority of people known that bearish market was a situation when market reached the highest position and then gradually dumped back again due to the various reason like panic, fear and distrust to the market.

I wouldn't be so categorical about the bear market not having started, I would say it is in full swing or already started. The bear market may have started as early as last year. You probably mean the market hasn't seen a real bottom yet. Anything can happen if bitcoin goes below 30,000. The altcoin market could suffer even more, especially for new projects and those projects that were hype last year.

What of these coins has went to exactly zero? Many of those altcoins i recall from a while back is low or has went to very low prices but i don't recall many going to zero.

Can you give examples of altcoins that never recovered from the bear market? Example i remember two coins called wagerr and coss which were talked about a long time ago... and even now... as low as the price is... as long as you didn't buy it at the high marks, you could probably still get those coin prices up?

By what OP means is that bear is yet not here and so you still can dump your shitcoins.

Those memecoins that will survive I think will survive also in the next bear market so chose wisely which one. If I have to I think doge will be prefect but it could turn its price right now to $0.01 when the bear market last for more than 3 months. What will happen to the others will first be delisted because there will be no interested anymore and no volume and then puff.

Meme coins are doomed from the start, they are for the hype game to make short term gains and not for the long term game. Those who do not believe this are making a mistake whose lesson they will soon learn.

While the bear market has a bad effect on many coins, I dont give importance to altcoins and that keeps me sane. Hm, a Hero member who doesn't know that a bear market has different types of levels just like. the bull market, when Bitcoin reached 40,000$ in 2021 we all thought yes this is hit but it goes over 60,000$ isn't it? A bear market will work in the same way, if BTC goes as low as 27,000$ do not think that's it, it might reach 19,000$. .. The higher the uptrend the dipper the downtrend.

Many altcoins from ICO during 2018 lost their values,some teams and devs use that time to abandoned their projects and run. Those coins who survive from that season have what it takes to recover from that market and many learn from that event to not hold too much altcoins since at time like this, the tendency of coins is some will be left behind and only few coins that are performing well will be able to make it again in the trend.

We are in the middle of besr market if we take the ATH into consideration, while talking about altcoin survival in the bear market the percentage is very low and that is what the history says. Some of the best altcoins in the previous cycle doesn't even have any value at all now or they remain too low from what we have expected so calculate how much they will be after the few cycle. In general people are investing on altcoins for short term so there is no wonder if they die in short span.

Well, actually I believe there will be many stages of the bear market, and each stage will evaporate some shitcoins while slowly destroying others. We have seen this kind of market before in 2018~2020 where many coins disappear forever.

This progress, on the other hand, is good for the blockchain since it refines the cryptocurrency market. Those strongest and has many benefits will stay and last.
