The first thing a newbie can do on the way to popularizing Bitcoin is to sort out information about it and understand for himself the principle of its work. When a person forms his own understanding of this or that problem, he obtain a foundation and prerequisites to share his knowledge with others. Dissemination of information can occur in any way, but there`s always the same need to argue, prove and explain your own point of view. During the discussion, a person not only draws new conclusions, but also forms a clearer position for himself. Belief in authorities doesn`t disappear, it works as one of the strongest reasons. Therefore, a newbie can become an authority on other people in order to popularize Bitcoin. But for this, he must be reasonably confident in his knowledge: only then others will be able to believe him.

A newbie can popularize bitcoin by talking with people who know nothing about it and filling them in on the benefits of using it, such as nonexistent bank charges and other taxes that can be avoided. One of the barriers to popularity is the complex terminology which causes most people to zone out.

Mission on the forum: To learn from people who know more than I. Firsthand accounts of anything are valuable and hard to come by.

First:I want you to come with ideas what a newbie can do to help and popularize bitcoin.Use your imagination and don't copy the suggestions before your post.

It's up to us to bring the logo into people subconscious. My idea would be to make a massive global campaign to spread a positive image. Many people in my country knows Bitcoin as rich's people currency. This happens because the only news that are delivered through TV are about the rise on the price and people are not well informed about the possibility that, for example, they don't need to buy an entire bitcoin . Also a false currency that has caused people to lose more than 250 millions.
What I want to say is, we need to spread a positive image, globally. We should think in growing the community in other languages, allow people to share the posts from Bitcointalk in any platform.

Second:  In addition I want to know what is your mission here in the forum. Just a few words, but let them be honest.
That's all. Good luck.

My main purpose here is to understand the problems users have with Bounty campaigns, how it could be improved.
As my idea is to become a Bounty manager, I want to understand the weaknesses from the existing campaigns and make it more reliable and narrow it  in order to have users who are really interested in grow the community instead of hunters  and learn more about different topics.

Got your attention? Great, keep reading then.

It's not much of a question but it's more like a task for newbies. You may get reward in form of merit at the end.Keep reading..

I'm tired to see all this bounty bullsh!t here in B&H section that's why I want to add a little "fresh air".

Strait to the point.

Where is the catch??  It's simple, many people don't even read the posts, they just reply to the subject, let's see how many will be here,I'll make a list and quote them  before I delete their posts. Yes, this is self-modated thread, that's right. In addition, many people are lying, so if someone says that he is here mainly to learn  but his post history clearly shows that he's just an ordinary bounty hunter, then I could probably leave a comment on his trust page that he so not to be trusted, this is still under consideration.
I guess there will be also tl'dr folks and when they reach to the "rewarding merit" part will jump into writing "quality posts" for merit. This is just an experimental approach to reward some good posters and report some shitposters, I don't have quite a lot of merit but, we'll see how far we gonna go.
Let's the journey begins now. It'll be interesting to read your stories and suggestions Wink
Good idea and implementation.
And what's the point and the desire for you, you can question?)

Not sure why do you use "Newbie" in this question. Do you mean that those ideas only applicable within this forum?
For me, in my hometown, bitcoin are widely known but under a form of multi level scam. There's fact that a lot of people were scammed to poverty here. When I hear people talking about bitcoin, I usually drop by for a couple of minutes and join their talk. There were a lot of amateur talks of amateur people and I'm so glad I enlightened them by my knowledge range: explaining that bitcoin was not borned a scam, it's just people use it to take advantages of others; telling them what's the real revolution behind bitcoin and how can it be mass adopted. Not all of the talks that I've joined are lack of knowledge, some of them included real experts. I learned a lot from them.

I am not sure if I can call it "mission" but I remember saying it somewhere:
There were some times, I was against the merit system like you are right now. But now I see things differently: merit is the measure of how other people pay respect to you.

I'll try to earn merit in order to win people's respect.

For your first task, which is to come up with an idea to promote bitcoin as a newbie, I think the most common way is to use platforms such as facebook or twitter, the truth is that I do know bitcoin existed since way back then, but I didn't paid any attention due to lack of knowledge and maybe, interest, but an acquaintance of mine introduced me to this forum just a while ago and told me all about the benefits of bitcoin. Through his guidance, I was also able to introduce bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to my other group of friends and we made a group chat and one of its purpose is to share some information with each other. Some of the members there are already members with knowledge about bitcoin and most are also newbies like me which wants to learn more about how this forum and how bitcoin works. Also, I think I'm making this too long so I'll also list some of my other ideas;

1. Create a blog/vlog about bitcoin and post in on big websites.
2. Use bitcoin as a topic in school.
3. Read more so that I can share more.

For the second task, I wouldn't say that I came here just to learn. My primary goal is actually to earn, since that acquaintance of mine actually introduced this forum to me as a means of earning through campaigns, but he never fails to remind me that I wouldn't earn just by posting, because posting nonsense without any substance will not make me earn, and I do believe that if I really wanted to gain something, I have to work hard for it. That's why I post so slowly and even stopped posting for a while. Even though I joined for some time now, I still have few posts and that is because I wanted to learn more and stop posting on just the off-topic section and try to join the discussions in the Economics and Bitcoin parts.

I hope this wasn't too long.

As for the first, I think that a newbie can do pretty much the same as any other no matter their experience. The best thing is to actually use bitcoin and ask the on-line commerce to accept bitcoin. You don´t need to know a lot to do it.

Also I do talk about bitcoin and alts with my friends, mostly about the people who have made quite a bit of money with crypto, perhaps is not the ideal way of spreading the word, but anyone can read and have a view on the news.

I don´t have a mission as such, I do want to profit from this new technology and I am just choosing which way may be best. I think the forum is going to help me with my choice and maybe produce some income (although I have already figured out that is not going to be noticeable as I am not into Facebook nor Youtube)

In my country bitcoin is still not legal so many people is still afraid to learn about it. And they also me maybe just know bitcoin from television or newspaper that tell price of bitcoin that so expensive. Mostly people arround me does not know where they can learn about bitcoin or too lazy to search or ask. So maybe it will be great if there some community about bitcoin held some meet up to share all about bitcoin so they not only hear bad news about bitcoin. Or we can tell to people arround us first.

And why i join this forum i will know more about bitcoin and maybe can get earn some money.
I apologize if my english is not good and i hope from this discusion i can improve my english too.

I will be brief and honest about this
For far to long publicity of cryptocurrency at large has been do mostly in English and some other important languages. I know a lot of people who wants to be part of it but are hinder by language barrier
Yes I know that there are local language platform here but the languages are not enough

Well I think we have a lot of people on this group and it possible that a large chunk of the global countries is here and there might be at  least one representative from nations. If the can make a platform that reaches of to some listed countries and and candidate are screened and taken to reach out to there country men in there best way
This will go along way to get bitcoin to that interior part of Africa, South America, Asia, Austria just to mention but a few

Well my reason for joining this group was just mainly the dramatic story of bitcoin and how it started nine years ago and the price then and now.  I did not believe so I wanted to know more about it

I would be dishonest if I said my intention was to promote the forum at the beginning,i joined this forum simply to earn, but to earn now you need merits..
In my local community cryptocurrency is viewed with indifference as people consider it a sort of scam, but I'll love to acquire enough knowledge at least to be able to explain to the lay people out there on the importance of joining the crypto community, not just to learn but also to earn..
I've come to understand that earning comes at the last, you can't be born today, start crawling, walking, earning that same day, it simply doesn't happen..
So my mission now is to learn, share golden knowledge acquired and earn at the end.

1) Through observation I have noticed that newbies make up the largest number of the population on this platform (I might be wrong). So also majority of the posts come from them. With more quality interactions from newbies, the standard of the forum would greatly increase and as this is the number one cryptocurrency community and top destination for crypto enthusiasts. It would influence the influxion positively and attract more users. And also encourage them to stay.

Also newbies can contribute more in detecting scam and unethical activities on the forum, as they are in most of the boards and threads. Making the forum safer.

2) What attracted me to the forum was bounties. I was introduced to it by someone. And started off with other campaigns like, social media. It didn't take me long to discover this platform. I can say that is my mission on this forum.

And also acquiring more knowledge, as there is a wealth of information here that would help me to be a better hunter and also a better crypto player.
And I can also give back the little I know and help where I can.
My mission can also said to be earning, learning and helping (trying to)

facepalm mate... don`t you feel that you trying to pretend too important in the post?

"Mission on the forum", lol. What is your mission? We don`t have it.

And speaking on topic, the best way for newb to make BTC more popular is to tell about it friends

Few months ago I read an interesting post.

A guy said that he will, from now on, always ask to every store if they accept bitcoin as payment. Even if he knows they won't.

Of course this is an exaggerated action, but the idea is interesting. If people keep asking, managers and owners of small business may find the idea interesting and think about it.

In Brazil I have never seen a store that accepts bitcoin. I was recently in the U.S., where I expected to see a lot of small business accepting bitcoin as payment, but I saw none. I was really excited about the idea to spend my bitcoins in a real store, to buy a hamburger or a pizza (for less than 10k btc ofc) or a shirt, whatever. I had some bucks on my mobile wallet, but I had no opportunity.

I thought we had bigger adoption in developed countries. But we are still in the infancy of all this...
