Recently,I've been seeing a lot of newbies trying to resurrect dead threads obviously for post count but what really pisses me off is the experienced members are supporting it,definitely for signature campaigns. Some are actually posting new replies to it without noticing the dates and the fact that OP stopped replying.I came across few topics today ,this is the latest one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1240995.80 (surprised even Full Members and Senior Members are still replying).Any solution ?

I think it's ridiculous. I've noticed it happening quite a lot recently, some of the threads bumped are years old.

This is both unnecesary and unhelpful, though it is fairly easy to not notice the date as I have done it myself before, but these sorts of posts and all of the following will likely be removed if the bump was deemed unnecesary or spam.

See,you deleted all the bumps in that thread, some fool made a new account just to bump it again which is followed by comment from another member.

lol. must be someone we know. and one of the posts that got deleted before was acroman08's too (he posted again or maybe that post was recovered).

I never thought that the spam problem (normal users spam) was this bad...

necroing a thread is allowed as long as you have a good reason for it (up to the mods to decide if it's good or not).
IMO the guy who necroed that thread you linked are just shitposting.

Agreed. That post is obviously sig spam and will be removed.

fuck off we can't look at the date on every post you fucking hypocrite go kill yourself and get cancer you Indian scum

Exactly! Its started by a newbie and followed by other lower ranks ,after which the spam continues. As far as newbies are concerned,I can understand but even Senior Members posting without checking the dates is clearly spamming.

what kinda argument is that? of course you can (and should) look at the date of every latest post of the thread that you are going to reply to.

I poste the same question before and got some answers like it depends whether those kind of post will be considered spamming or not. One person might post on an old thread where no one is posting already because maybe s/he is looking for an answer to an old service or whatsoever. Just like the fishbitfish thread where it was abandoned for quite sometime and some users resurrected it, asking question if it still pays so once avain, tje thread was alive. It really depends on the situation but as for the example you posted here, those who had recently posted on it today is really not looking at the date. For me those are gibberish kind of post.

Ofcourse you can. It only takes a second for you to notice the dates. If you are not looking on the details then maybe you were just shitting arround. What's the point of going deep on the threads history anyway.
