The results and the payoff continues to fall.

When the bitcoin price goes up, I am confused why the result always down. Should decrease in the result because the difficulty level increases rather than price increases.
If price goes up that will attract lot more miners which will increase mining difficulty and what you used to earn/mine from same machine before will now decrease.

Mining is only profitable if you live in area where electricity is free or is very cheap. CPU mining is now just a fairy tale.. Grin

Mining bitcoin with cpu isn't not possible anymore also on GPU mining and even to those old asic miners couldn't even mine bitcoin or not profitable already because mining bitcoin would really require huge number of hashes and a simple pc cant do that anymore. If you have a good GPU then its better to decide to switch on altcoin mining rather than focusing on bitcoin mining.

mining with software with your cpu is not recommended while you don't use vga cards because if you use vga cards, then you have many option to choose what coins to mining. its still profitable to mining with hardware but the coins selection is altcoins, don't go with bitcoin as the diff is increase every time.

i think you can buy vga cards like rx 480 and start with altcoin mining like eth, etc, zec, dash, xmr, ltc and other. but you should calculate how much you will spend for the electricity fee. i hear nicehash is a good place to start mining but still we need third party software rather than only use our pc.

Hi i recently saw by sharing our cpu and gpu we can earn btc throw nicehash. But my cpu utilization is always 100%. is it profitable or it will generate any problem.
You can't earn much with cpu mining currently, and if you keep on running 100% of your CPU it may burn out and i don't think you like to have that while trying to earn few cents. Nicehash is place where you can rent your mining device and can earn more than what you can earn mining crypto directly. I mostly use miningrigrentals which is similar to nicehash to rent mining power to mine few crypto on early days.

CPU mining is hobby mining. That means that you will get less money of it than the cost of the electricity you'll use.

I didn't personally use their miner, but there are ways to make the normal (command line) miners to run on low(er) priority. The CPU usage will still be 100%, but at least you'll be able to use it while mining. If this doesn't work with nicehash miner and you want to also use the computer for this and that, I suggest you do some research and get another miner program. Then you can mine on any pool or multipool you want.

As others said: long time 100% utilization of CPU is OK only if you have proper cooling. So if you use laptop, I'd advise you to stop mining. Desktop is OK.

I don't know if you also mine with the GPU - it works only with pretty powerful ATI and GeForce cards - but that can be profitable (if not laptop), but you can calculate it well since GPUs eat pretty much electricity.

I wouldn't worry about damaging your CPU. Already two people here have said it damages the CPU and shortens its life span. This isn't true. How fast your CPU is , is just a frequency and the power thst is used to create this frequency also creates heat. Your CPU is fine so long as gou have proper cooling. High temperatures is what damages your CPU.

Cloud mining are mostly Ponzi schemes in disguise, so be careful with investment in these services. Running a cpu at full capacity for extended periods will shorten it's lifespan. A combination of heat and flow of electricity through the chip causes changes to the components within the chip at the atomic level, known as Electromigration. ^hmmmmm^

The gains from this will cost you a CPU or GPU, so you will have to deduct that from your profits. People seldom reach ROI with these schemes.

move your topic to Service Discussion (there is a button on bottom left).
and a quick search tells me nicehash is a cloudmining service which means it is not a good idea to use it, only because of profitability due to the high difficulty and the electricity price that you are going to end up paying.

and a 100% CPU usage is not good either, you are reducing the lifetime of your hardware for a tiny profit.
