@HabBear: Thanks for your answer.

I knew about the fake news and alternative facts issues. You have no idea how much German media reports about US politics right now every single day. All of our political talk shows in TV have only one topic: Donald Trump. Every online newspaper is full of Trump content. Every morning when I open the "Tagesschau" app (Tagesschau is the most watched news show in German TV and they have the most popular news app) the top 10 news are dominated by Trump news.
So I learned a lot about all this fake news and post-truth issues you have in US. It's also a big issue in Germany. The equivalent of post-truth (=postfaktisch) even became "Word of the Year".

The only thing I couldn't find out was who was responsible for that "fake-news.com" redirecting to NY Times and CCN site but I understand better now Smiley

Thanks a lot.

Nobody an idea?

A few weeks back Donald Trump accused CNN of reporting fake news stores. There might have been one mis-leading story, which CNN would have cleared up after realizing they reported news with incorrect facts. But it's mostly because CNN has been critical of Trump and Trump is a child and can't handle any negative publicity or comment about him.

Half the country thinks Donald Trump is a joke, so when he does shit like point to the CNN reporter during his news conference and say "No, I'm not taking questions from you. You're fake news. Fake news!" it gives those people great material to make memes and jokes about Trump.

Another one is "alternative facts". One of Trump's aides/advisors said that Trump has "alternative facts" to prove that there were more people at his Inauguration than actually were. Shortly after someone had www.alternativefacts.org redirected to the White House homepage.

Funny shit, for sure.

So it was made by CNN itself (and before the NY Times) as an ironic joke following Trump's accusations?

It comes from that one press conference where Trump called CNN Fake News, and also Buzzfeed a failing pile of garbage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yit5KoFc_gY
That's not just it though, he DESTROYED them, especially that CNN guy.
What makes this even funnier is that what Trump says is true  Grin

Sounds like some trojan or malware redirecting you to fake news !

Huh lol

In the above article it says "Click fraud fuels malvertising", it's probably CNN that's the source!

In other fake news MSM giants were caught buying Chinese clicks after logs expose 50% of traffic coming from .ch where the great firewall bans all their propaganda news media sites.

Mum's the word at Google but it fed me the following URL when I asked about it. http://www.cio.com/article/3088996/security/why-cios-should-care-about-click-fraud.html

Hi,

does somebody know why the URL "fake-news.com" redirects you to the website of CNN? Few weeks ago it led to the website of the NY Times.

Where does that Easter egg come from? Who is responsible for that?

Didn't find anything about it in the web.
