If you are red tagged for spamming, garbage posting, report a minimum 200 posts to earn your trust back.
Says who ?

Or don't. instead register more accounts to do more damage and post more garbage. ask moderators to see which one they would prefer. having a tagged shit poster moaning all the time with multiple accounts or having them spending their time on reporting garbage posts?

Which one you would prefer? do you want to see a tagged member posting garbage with newbie accounts or having them to help the forum to get their tags removed?

I have to update my last post. Already 300 reports with an accuracy of 99%.

Like other members suggested that didn't help with my red trust by Hillariousandco despite that other DT members believed in my explanations and adjusted reputation from negative to neutral (The Pharmacist) or didn't paint me red (Actmyname).

I have sent PM to Hillariousandco today with explanation and my report score but didn't get an answer. Maybe it's too soon but like all my previous messages this one will be left with no answer, I think.

I'll keep reporting these abusers because the quality of reading is a lot better after you put this accounts on "ignore".

P.S.
I want to share with you what happened today and I want to hear your opinion on that matter.

Reported almost 150 posts in only one ANN thread in Altcoins section. When moderator finished cleaning from a thread with 12 pages left 3. I thought this is very good because most of deleted answers were pure spam or off-topic (great project, good, when lambo, I am in, etc.) from bots and new accounts. My eyes were hurting when I was reading this and took about 2 hours to report all these shitposts. What left was questions, answers and real discussion from interested in the project members.

I have posted in this ANN after cleaning to inform members about what happened and advised that OP has to report these spammers faster and not let this topic to be flooded with spambots. I couldn't believe when OP answered to me very angry calling names on me and moderators that they removed this spam. Accusing me to delete quality answers and repeating insane things about BTT. I just couldn't believe what I see and I asked him if he is from the team. He responded calling names again and finally provided a link to Telegram. I wanted to ask there about this situation and after 5 minutes of talking (only described what happened on BTT), I was banned.

What is going on? Is there something scammy going on or am I exaggerating?

I disagree. any accuracy above %80 is great to have. as you report more you'll understand what kind of posts are welcomed to be reported. you should find a few similar posts and then report them one by one to see if there is any change to your accuracy or not. I was the one suggested to report at least 200 posts and then ask for a removal of his/her red tag.
Who suggested you that ? I don't think that's how trust removal works.Isn't it subjective to every member on the DT ? Anyway, what I meant was if he reports hardly 5 posts and yet his accuracy falls below 90%,then it just means he isn't generating proper reports. While I agree he will learn generating good reports eventually but taking a caution before giving random reports is much better.

95% isn't  a very good number for a beginner if you ask me.Anyway,it's good to see despite of a negative feedback you're doing what's right for the forum.Keep it up! Smiley

Lately, I started to report all abuse I find on the forum. Always using 'report button' and I am happy with the work of mods. Only in few days, I found more as 60 forum rules abusers with an accuracy of 95%. All kind of abuse, spam, scam, spam bots, alt accounts, account sales, merit trading, ref links, etc. Later on, I checked my reports and I see that have been checked and appropriate measures have been taken, so I am very happy how fast and professional mods are reacting to this reports. I found only 1 not deleted post but that was next day after report. Reported one more time and finally deleted after a day.

I think everybody should use "report button" when spotted forum rules abuse and left the judgment to moderators. I feel disgusted when I see how people try to earn merits on reporting others. They open threads in which they reveal their discoveries. For me, it's like paying for being an informer (rat). I don't say OP opened this topic for merits. I don't think so. I just don't like it and wanted to share because indeed such topics are highly merited. If the main goal isn't to be merited then there is no need to start a topic only "report to moderator" and check after few days if he takes care of it. If not, report again.
Reporting doesn't help always. Not when you need an account to be negative tagged. There are some cases which can be handled using threads only especially if your intent is to seek DTs attention.

What about to ip ban?..
I think posts like that should just be reported and actions left to the administrators...

Just saw this thread:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--3408067
Jecordass (u=2071060) <-posted "tutorial" as he calls it and also it was posted in a very silly way, just read what he writes. This video redirects to scam website. Then brand new trudefrance (u=2071068) claims in ten minute that it's real and then again brand new Calipsozen (u=2071105) claims it's real.
In any way, this person creates alts in some minutes as he wishes. What about to ip ban?

I think posts like that should just be reported and actions left to the administrators. I guess after years of reading the forums, the "newbie shill" trick doesn't phase me. People need to learn how to spot scams like that.

Banning IPs is not reasonable. A lot of people -- probably more on this forum than others -- use TOR or VPN. And also, ISPs sometimes cause different people to connect through the same IP, which can result in false positives.
