Having citadels, fortresses and castles is a wrong strategy in the long term, because sooner or later,an army will put them under siege and you won't have enough resources to survive.Eventually you will have to surrender. Grin
I will never have such citadel, because I can't accumulate enough Bitcoins,so I won't bother fantasizing about the structure of my dystopian(or utopian)society. Grin
Perhaps this time traveler guy is talking about a future, that will happen after 100 years, when nobody of our generation will be alive to witness the crypto citadels.

What would you have in your citadel? What policies? What equipment?

1.I will build many Zen rooms. There is only one futon, a table, a cup of tea, a bird call outside the house, and the faint sound of a stream. The person who comes in sits on the ground and no one will bother you.
Create a place for restless people in the castle, a place for quiet thinking. Please write down your name when you leave. What have you done for the encrypted castle?
2. Policy, I hope to promote communism, I hope that everyone in the castle has a say, realize the token economy and community governance, truly give power to the people, and build a loving, truly democratic world of great harmony .
3.There must be the most advanced Bitcoin mining machine here.

For those unfamiliar with citadels, this anti bitcoin "time traveler" incorrectly predicted everything ever and completely, with no understanding of economics: https://old.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/

In order to follow his advice, let's review what a citadel is:

Quote from: LackOfEconomics
What is a Citadel?" you might wonder. Well, by the time Bitcoin became worth 1,000 dollar, services began to emerge for the "Bitcoin rich" to protect themselves as well as their wealth. It started with expensive safes, then began to include bodyguards, and today, "earlies" (our term for early adapters), as well as those rich whose wealth survived the "transition" live in isolated gated cities called Citadels, where most work is automated. Most such Citadels are born out of the fortification used to protect places where Bitcoin mining machines are located. The company known as ASICminer to you is known to me as a city where Mr. Friedman rules as a king.

I want to build a school in the citadel, and I can learn the courses I am interested in by paying with Bitcoin. Of course, the courses are about the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency. And everyone in the school can apply to be a teacher, share his skills or interesting experiences and so on.What I want to learn most is how hackers are made.

Cool post Alice. I've never seen those pictures. Smiley

Although altcoins are overgrown, they have also played a positive role.
I am not against all altcoins.
They represent a different role and technology than bitcoin as a global finance vehicle.
Altcoins, even bitcoin with different block sizes or other features, are necessary for additional technologies (like decentralised DNS), or for regional transactions and small, fast, less-important transaction scaling.

You can join me in my castle. Remind me, and I'll buy you a silly hat to wear, if you'd like.

I am very happy to join your crypto castle. Maybe my cognition has not reached a very high level. After reading your post, congratulations on getting such a high achievement in a short time. This is my small goal, of course I may have to pay More time and effort. Now I want to know what silly hat you will give me.

I also hold some altcoins, because I think there are some good altcoins that are extensions of Bitcoin applications and enrich the crypto world. I pay more attention to the fields of DEFI and DAO.

But I will hold Bitcoin for a long time. Altcoins may aim to earn some pocket money through market volatility, such as Ethereum and Polkadot. The reason for choosing them is the trust and recognition of the founder.

I have also read some of your articles. In addition to your high number of merits and fast, I also found that you are also a strong professional in the field, thank you.
Awww. Flattery will get you everywhere. Wink

I will probably depend on nature when the time comes. Will try to avoid relying on heavy stationary man-made defenses and amenities. I doubt I'll be able to escape to space... there will be too many responsibilities on earth for me by then. Besides, those escaping to space will eventually be brought down to earth, so I don't think I will stay there too long if ever I have the chance to escape
Simple solutions are often the best. Who would want to live in a citadel like world anyways?

A combination of on-chain and off-chain solutions will have to be used for a intra and extra solar currencies due to the limitations on the speed of light, and data transfer.
When you escape to space, it will take 3 minutes AT BEST for the blockchain any hashing or data synching between Mars and Earth. We will have to have longer block times than even ten minutes for any solar electronic currency, especially when Mars and Earth are on opposite sides of the sun.

If we can colonize mars that means we can live on it indefinitely once we have created a atmosphere. That is a long time away unless they invent a cure for aging and diseases we will not see that in our life time.

It’s also the first time I saw such an interesting picture. In addition to feeling interesting, I was a little touched and unspeakable. Bitcoin’s castle is still too limited to the scope of some technical geeks. As time goes by, although Many people are already familiar with Bitcoin, but speculation still prevails. This is also the reason why I like forums not REDDIT, twitter and other social media. The forum makes me think quietly, and other social media are like a work meal.

I have also read some of your articles. In addition to your high number of merits and fast, I also found that you are also a strong professional in the field, thank you.

There is a three-story house in San Francisco not far from Silicon Valley. Everyone calls this house "Crypto Castle". The landlord is 25-year-old Jeremy Gardner, who works in blockchain-related technology. 2015 In 2009, he rented this house for sub-rental. The house can accommodate a total of eight tenants. Most of them are technologists in their 20s. Many people moved in because they could not find a place to live. "There are more than 60 people. A tenant became a rich man because he lived here."

Quote
Just near the Crypto Castle, there is a building called "Crypto CrackHouse". It also houses young people who invest in virtual currency. The corridors inside the house have names, not only "Bitcoin Boulevard" but also "Ethereum Boulevard". "Ethereum Alley".

In today's world, there are still a few people who know and understand Bitcoin. The goal of Bitcoin Castle is an agreed whole world, not a house and different co-tenants. Therefore, in addition to gaining wealth and freedom from Bitcoin, it is also necessary to promote Bitcoin. Although altcoins are overgrown, they have also played a positive role. Hello kaggie, just like your account, you are the person who has won the most merits in July. Come on, I will follow you. Give Bitcoin some time, and the future Bitcoin castle will be very wonderful.

In this post-apocalyptic landscape, the bitcoin rich live in isolated gated places, much like the exceptionally rich have already done for a while : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADIDhJSlw2s

Considering that bitcoin is now between 30 and 100k US dollars, much higher than 1,000 bitcoin/dollar that the time traveler warned about, it's probably best to prepare for that future that is already upon us for many years now.

Of course, global economies and major nations that don't talk would hresult in bitcoin forks, but ignoring that, in the time traveler future, bitcoin remains global. ASICMiner owns among the most bitcoin, and not Michael Saylor, nor this poor chap who lost his electrum wallet in 2010 after mining with an i7-5810 processor (which software and processor came out years later; time traveler??) for one of the largest dormant addresses: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.57417586

Will you escape to space in the billionaires space race? I am actually looking forward to the colonization of Mars, although Venus should come first in the form of cloud cities that can protect from solar radiation.

Will your citadel be socialist, libertarian, or some mix? I mean, if economic growth is going to be negative 2% per annum, your going to have to provide for yourself somehow by buying goods and services from the people in your citadel.

What would you have in your citadel? What policies? What equipment?

Me? Oh, I'd probably buy a high end PC for doing AI work, buy everyone a home, give everyone meaningful labor that wanted it, buy a kick ass ice cream machine (Spaceman or Saniserv), figure out how to develop new block chain technologies that get around the issues of current methods. People who promoted shit coin scams wouldn't be allowed, unless they agreed to mine more bitcoin by hand.

For anyone who doubts that this was a legitimate time traveler, I submit that he was able to edit his post in Oktobor 2019, long after the post was locked from all editing. Would a normal person be able to do that???

So, get your butts in gear and let's figure out what you have to do or get now to live comfortably within your citadel, because I don't see anyone with a citadel yet.

Slackers.
