The average income level of a community in a particular region or country which varies and is adjusted to their respective economic levels. If we look at Asian, European and other countries, we tend to have more unequal monthly income. Because this is difficult when the profession is different then we will find it difficult to refer to costs in general.

Here in Poland you need at least 1000 $ for a familly of 4 (2 parents, 2 kids) if you have a place to leave. If not its 1500$ if you rent a flat of pay a mortgage. So I can't imagine how your average living costs are around 150 dollars. Maybe if you leave with parets and all your expenses are the cost of partying with your friends Smiley

I would call these countries "Western", but I guess that it depends on how are you looking at the Earth The countries you mention are more or less within the same range of costs and it is also quite dependent on the region and city or place you live in. For example, an salary of 1200 euros net a month would keep you alive, dressed and with a roof of your own - nothing fancy at all - in Madrid or Rome, with some spare for beers. That same salary in Caceres, Avila or Murcia will go probably go a bit further and allow for some enjoyment.

In London or Paris, you may be running on a quite tight budget with 1400 euros or 1300 pounds. You would probably would not be able to afford a studio for yourself in safe and nice neighbourhood and your entertainment options would be very limited. You most likely would be thinking of moving to a location well away from the city centre.

The difference between cities and regions might be up to 100%. Example: 1 bed flat in more or less central London is already around 1400 euros, which would be more than enough to live well in Tenerife, most of Sicily, most of Greece.

There are quite a few tools online that would allow you to check places, mostly intended for expats.

Monthly expenses in every country is quite varied and at the same time one have to understand the fact that it is a really personal thing.

- I am living in Ukraine, the people here get paid really low but the living expenses are around 250-300$ per month, including everything.

- My boyfriend lives in London, he gets paid better than me and his living expenses are around 800£ a month, which is honestly way higher as compared to Ukraine.

Plus it's also dependent on where you are living!!
If you live in a place like Ivano-frankivsk, then you would pay lower as compared to a place like Kiev which is something dependent on where you live etc.

That's information from my side, hopefully it could help you.

There is no point in comparing the level of income and expenditure in a country and your country, unless you want to work in those countries and send the surplus money to your family, as the amount of $150 as a surplus is considered easy in some countries and is considered net income in other countries.

In my country, there is a wide range of luxury that you can get, but it is difficult and sometimes impossible to live without $700 per person and $2500 for a medium-sized family, especially if it includes rental fees and electricity and water expenses.

So $150 is pretty cheap here.

Not really how why you need to ask for the economic conditions of countries in Europe, but let me tell you, google is your friend.

You are lucky that you are in Asia and the living expenses is not that high, $150 a month? damn, I don't know if that is enough for a week in EU countries. First world countries in EU has a high rate of living expense so I guess that part and parcel of living in high end countries.

The average living costs in your country is 150 dollars per month. I can hardly pay my monthly electricity bill during winter with $150. I'm so tired to pay an outrageous price just to get electricity at home. fuck, fuck, fuck...

For me who live a little further east in the EU, that amount is not enough even during the summer if we take into account a family of 4 members. Unfortunately, increasing electricity consumption combined with the EU's green plan and switching to renewable energy sources are likely to further increase the price of electricity - because green does not mean cheap (at least for now).

By the way, there are websites you can use to compare the living costs between countries https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_countries.jsp but have no idea how accurate it is

I think the prices are pretty accurate, but these are the average prices of a product or service in a country. I pay flat internet (40 Mbps +) + landline (flat calls in-country) around EUR 20, while the site states that the price of 60 Mbps is slightly less than EUR 30, although users are delivered max speed considering their infrastructure - while the price is mostly the same up to 100 Mbps.

However, it should be emphasized that the key thing that affects the standard of living is the minimum wage. Thus, the minimum gross wage is highest in Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Belgium (EUR 2,201.93 to EUR 1,625.72), while it is lowest in Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia. (EUR 332.34 -  EUR 562.77). When these minimum wages are transferred to the net amount (what a worker receives in his bank account), then, for example, in Croatia, a worker who works for the minimum wage receives only EUR 453. It should be noted that prices in countries with lower wages are the same or even higher than in countries with higher wages, which is a paradox, but it is true.

It's difficult to compare incomes and expenses between countries since there are many things to consider. You can get a good idea if you compare 2 near countries like France VS Germany, but comparing Spain and Vietnam is something else

Relating the monthly expenses to per head, I think it is as the result of high cost of living. Normally before this year and the hard times, expenses for the month don't cost more than a hundred dollars for feeding especially for a mini family of 5 including parents but lately this expenses have really increased. Like in Nigeria, it is the situation people are facing and this is the result of inflation that almost all countries are facing but with different levels.

It depends on where do you live.
100$ is what I eat for about a week, no way I eat potatoes every day, and for sure you can not feed a family with it. A piece of beef cost 4-5$ for 1 person, 10$ for 5-6 pieces of chicken
