I don't know whether the Finnish system is the best in the world, but in general the Western and Nordic European nations have some of the best systems in the globe. The advantage with Finland is that they had a very high literacy rate even during the mid 20th century. The educational system was built up on this strong foundation.

unlike in asia, finland educational system is organized and purpose driven. unlike other countries, finland respects family time as they dont  give homework in fridays. the time of schooling is standard and unified. purpose driven in the sense that the prime purpose of education is to educate the students in a not stressful invironment that they can grow and think freely unlike other school systems.

I will do wonder for YOU!!!
I am currently taking up some unit of teaching but as so far education is the concern, the most effective way is the teaching method or teacher factor... If the teacher has the capacity to teach well... then the student will be much more interested in learning... there are those teachers really who cannot or does not know how to teach.  In my entire life... I have dealt a lot of it already... some teachers teach enthusiastically and can adapt easily or does know how to make things interested when the lesson becomes boring.  So definitely, it's a teacher factor, but there are also some exceptions... There are also students who are really smart that even though teachers is not competent enough, they make things or learning fun to them...

I don't know how Finland's educational system is, but generally northern Europe countries have very good educational systems. Probably, because in ancient times they had either to be able to teach properly to children how to survive their weather, or to perish.
