Anybody heard of goat tossing though I believe it has been banned
Today I learned about a historic sport called fox tossing where you try and throw foxes as far as possible. It looks something like this.

I am curious what are the weirdest and cruelest sports ever invented by people either current or historic.

The story, as I understand, the facts silent when and who threw the fox furthest. 
Who today are interested in such a game? I do not.Nowadays, these sports have gone into the past, so of course no one will have to look for foxes on the street. There was a baseball, football, golf and others.

There's this thing called "Shrovetide mob football" that still gets played somewhere in England. Basically thousands of people from 2 towns compete to try and get a pigs bladder to the opponents town. Chaos ensues.

The 3km run race begins and ends at Conyngham Hall. About halfway through the run, the teams face the one-in-five gradient climb to Castle Top before it’s back down the hill and toward the final challenge – crossing a river.
