Agree for those people who says the most important factor when intend to promote a project or for being an investor ICO is teams. Because so far who can make the project success is teams itself, although there are bounty campaign or project ICO that has potential project but if they have bad team then I'll sure the project will jammed. But if the project has a little potential but they have good teams in any field then I confidence the project will success, when I see an ICO project I don't look at the concept they offer only, I'll in other side such as their marketer, how they offer a product or how they communicate with an investor, I think it is a side that really needs to be considered.

Hi EdenHazard! Good points. I am the OP of this thread. We are soon to launch our main Bounty Campaign and we have already amassed 100+ various crypto advertising and marketing offers on our CMA marketplace here - https://www.cryptomarketads.com/marketplace

We will invite all bounty hunters (signatures, shouthouts, posts, social media announcements etc) to offer their services on our marketplace where we will buy their services from, and this is how we will conduct our Bounty Campaign.

You are also welcome to join Smiley

The main thing I am looking is the vision and the idea behind and  what is/will be the benefit of the product.
After that looking the WP,  the road map and the team and it`s experienced enough to deliver.
Yes. The vision of the project will really count the most and how its team members will work out just to make the whole project become successful.I believe that a good ICO has always a heart for their bounty hunters and investors because without them, the success of the ico might not be possible.

Hi Vaculin! We have made a whole marketplace for crypto, blockchain, ICO and STO project bounty hunters to offer their services on! The first category on there you will find is called ''Forum Signtures'' aka Bitcointalk forum signatures. You can now place your signature spot for sale on the first ever marketplace for crypto, blockchain, ICO and STO project advertising and marketing!

For more info see here - https://www.cryptomarketads.com/marketplace

Hi cryptolidus! You are welcome to take a look at our project's website here - https://www.cryptomarketads.com/

And the whitepaper here - https://www.cryptomarketads.com/CMA_whitepaper.pdf

The CMA marketplace for crypto advertising and marketing aka is just one of the products. Additionally, we will develop a custom blockchain for marketplaces (called Internet of Goods and Services). We will apply this blockchain to the CMA marketplace.

+ there will be 2 new products:
1) Decentralised Visual Drag & Drop Marketplace Builder:
2) ICO Platform for marketplaces.

Let me know if we have a common interest.

Boldness and confidence in the CEO and teams ,the CEO must be able to reveal his or her face in video to talk more about the project and restrain from any act of anonymous ,the project must have a very good working product backing the project up for a better tomorrow ,the teams must all be experts in there area of specialisation

It's always the same, nothing new is there. I will definitely first look at the project idea which means I will read the whitepaper and judge the idea. After that, I will search for team legitimacy. If those go well, find out the roadmap. See how they have planned everything. If it's organized, I would never hesitate to invest into it.

To evaluate a project I usually rely on the following criteria:
- Consult the ICO project website
- Refer to the evaluation of the world community
- Learn about the people behind the ICO project
- Review of platforms and applications
- The project is created for any purpose or just to raise funds. Is there a competitor?
- How many Tokens are issued, can I create additional Tokens after selling?

1. Hype
2. Hype
3. Advisors known to have hyped other projects
The market is incredibly immature and actual value does not correspond to profits. Profits come from overhyped projects and the ability to sell on time instead of getting greedy. Things will change, of course, but it is what it is for now.

Most of the money that is already in the crypto market is hype, and as long as there are liar prices, it will continue as well.  Because the majority are here to make money, and perhaps they are ignorant of what the project belongs to.

For me key thing is the product itself,  for what problem it is solution for. That determines the demand for it.
The next thing is competitiveness of the product  on the market, and after it I am looking at the team if it is
capable to realize the project to be successful.

Hello Bitcoin Forum. You guys are great with responding to my https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ico-coming-soon-would-you-like-to-be-the-very-first-to-know-about-it-4732575 thread. As some of you may know, it is in our best interest to deliver an outstanding ICO project this year, very soon. I personally love to take things many steps further to ensure the maximum success rate without a doubt.

My question to everyone reading this thread today is, what are your personal key points you are or were looking for into any ICO project on which you could better judge the quality?

We do not want to miss a single thing that we might have overlooked before we are going to officially launch the project.

Thank you, you are great!

Choosing the key points to ICO is the important step before you take a part in ICO projects.
For me, the primary key for investing in ICO is whether the company is really exist or not (Legit or scam).
Investing in fake ICO company mean you just donating your money without return, or you will just wasting your money.

As for me, I think I will go by the:

Usage: what's the really usage and why was the token created.
Teams behind the project; what other projects have they handled successfully.
Roadmap is also part of it
Again is the token allocation: time of lock, amount for the developers, token distribution etc.

Bisq is a Bitcoin Fiat Dex. Use responsibly
Team profile  means nothing at all.

My own criteria: the project must be viable, decentralized,, trustless, unique, must have strong technical merit, has a feasible/good Road map, must have great marketing plan, and must have worked out a solid market for its products.

The demands of the quality new ICO project is rising, so now the investors are checking a lot of things before invest in anything, the first thing yhgr investor will check the legitimacy of the project, through team developers and the whitepaper, the whitepaper must consist the detail of the project, the roadmap, the vision and the possible implementation, the design of the official website also need to be pay attention

We need projects that have products, and the team has completed KYC so we can confirm that they are not fake. There are now too many ICO scam and you need to complete 2 issues first, then we will examine the project investors and partners

There are many good ICO projects with not too experience teams which leads to many dead projects,I think knowledge and experience matters alot ,and they should be ready to tackle any obstacles because every good coins have one, before you can consider yourself as a developer you must be a blockchain expert

First of all, I pay attention to the information that the project disseminates about itself, about relations with partners, about their physical location, about the team, as well as where the company is registered and so on. Next, I double-check all this information for errors and misinformation.

My personal important things for project to do is always Communicate with community , don't delay things . Always tell truth about problems you having with project and if your tokens will be locked / frozen for period of time , let the investor know that before he invests . Bring out some AMA , videos from office , updates weekly . After this you will have really great supporters , ofcourse if your project idea is quite nice . If its just copy / paste from another project then there will be no suceed .

Hi therhslv. I completely agree that communication and asap info is the best way to make a strong bound and trust. I like the AMA part, that is something we should definitely have a go at together with frequent updates on the project.

After experienced lots of scam and unexpected dumps, I guess it would be too difficult to filter out good projects. I mean even we are having sufficient experience on doing our own due diligence, now a days scammers are becoming too smart to make up their plans to convince even experienced people.

If we contribute into an ICO, we may get some 10% to 25% extra benefits if we are able to find the real potential thing whereas we are losing almost 100% or 80% with a scammy projects. From this calculations, I believe just trading in exchanges or investing into a proven project itself good for me at least. In my 2019 resolutions, I have included this : Must stay away from ICOs until converting all my current holding tokens and coins into bitcoins.

Since there are already some projects in the crypto market that have proven themselves well, I think that a very good sign will be that such a project will support what a new project. If I see have a new project in associates what any successful project, then this adds me confidence in it.

Well OP, i think i will commend your consistency in keeping the community abreast on your intended project. I this should continue all the way, even after the projects, you will gain a wide acceptance and a successful project is inevitable.
The problem you intend solving is very paramount and you must be sure you are able to do that. If your product is ready is can be used (coupled with its ability to perform the task it is meant for), that will attract investors, not just during the ICO, but even after.
For every good project mass adoption is very essential.

My main point is the idea of the project. Many projects are just copying other idea and add some idea to make it looks better.  For me a good project is which has a fresh idea and has opportunity to be bigger in the future. Other point is the team and developer behind the project. I usually check their LinkedIn profiles, their expert ice and their experience in the area of their project idea. Of course, I will also check if the team profiles are fake or real.

The project itself, you must sure about the project, it is impossible or not, some project maybe create a wonderful idea about their project but can they make it? Also how much time did they estimate to make their project become true, 1 year or more? If it's not need regulation to make the project become true then more than 1 year is not good but if it's need a regulation then more than 1 year should be fine but not more than 2 years...

Also you need to read what market need, if it's a good project but the market is not in there then your ICO will be worthless in the end

By far the most important thing is the transparency of people behind the project (developers team), I mean access to detailed profiles on LinkedIn and social media.
It is also very important to provide as much detail as possible about the registration of the project as a company.
Transparent roadmap. Tokens economics. Exchange listsing plan.

For me there are some features i will look into to consider it good, these includes the use case, what does the project aim to solve, is it a copy and paste of another project, also i would be looking at the team and those backing the project . Now that being said, i will check their social platform to check how active the project is. I think this will give a clue.

No hidden information about the people who are involved of developing the project. It's very much important on who are those people working on it. There are ICOs that has the same advisors, developers and other staffs so you can base their work on those past projects that they made.

And when done with validating and checking the team members, next the project itself. How reliable are the information they are proposing to the investors and next to it is on how usable the token, the projects use and on how reachable their proposed caps.

2. Problem that the team will solve.

5. Achievements of the team and their preferences.

Additional:
- Appearance of their website

We all have our own ways to judge or to choose an ICO we want to invest in but here are just some of my key points on choosing a good/great ICO project.

This is a good list already but if I may add, I would like an ICO project to have a model or prototype as early as token sale stage or even prior to that.

Most important thing is product itself. Try to understand the whitepaper. How the project will help, what new problem it can solve etc. Then, obviously the team behind the project. And then we should look at the advisor team and sponsors and partnership who are interested in the project. Also monitor their activities in social networks, how they interact with users

I judge whether the ICO is good or not based on its rating in ICOBench. Because the ICOBench team has definitely assessed ICO projects from various aspects such as vision and mission, products, teams, or profiles. So if the ICO project has a good rating on ICOBench it is definitely a good project too.

For me is the team profile or their expertise. Its important that the people behind any ICO will be working knowing they have the skills to pull it off.
The big advisor means if the platform is very well known by the big players. it can be determined as a point to judge how good that ico. Another important thing just like the identity of the team itself.
A good ico will always have a big community that actively watching the development.
