I am trying switchercoin and so far so good.  But they offer little stats.  Any others that I can try?

When you merge mine it costs you nothing additional to mine other coins.  that is to say you'll get the same number of BTC if you mine a few extra Alt currencies.  So if you are mining coins you don;t want I'm sure you can find someone to take them off your hands.  :-)

As for good alt currency pools, I'll be watching this thread because I would like to know the same.

I am just getting into mining.  I am currently in HashCows but I would like to devote my mining into a few coins (DGC, MEC, WDC, etc) and not exchange them into BTC.  I understand that HashCows allows one to keep certain designated coins.  But I would like to only mine the coins that I want.  Can people give me some recommendations to such mining pools?  Thanks.
