Funny thing is that I had about 500 Bitcoins when I was 12 years old by sometimes mining with my old pc and participating in random events just for fun, not knowing that this mysterious coin would change my life forever when I am older, heck the fact that 1 coin can cover all my college expenses still haunts me to this day.   Undecided

Thank you.

Nobody knows that Bitcoin will reach 5 digits, everybody takes it for granted, we overlooked its potential, you have to move on at least you can tell that a story that you once own 500 Bitcoin, the highest I have own was 20 bitcoin and that was many years ago.

I'm also looking for some method of how to get 1 Bitcoin but I could not find any method, faucets now are giving 50 sats it will take a decade before you can get one Bitcoin using a faucet.

You are right, I was a stupid 12 year old back then and shouldn't blame myself so much. Maybe if I was older back then this wouldn't happen, it is very hard but past is past.  Wink

Ya, the past is past.
Nobody knew the price of Bitcoin will be this high years ago. Even then, most people that believed in it had a price expectation of $1000 at most and nothing close to $50k.

But instead of waiting to get 'free' bitcoin (which is highly impossible) you could start with little investment of $10-$50 per week. You could be saving a lot for the next bitcoin fork in the next four years.

Hello everyone.

Do you guys know any platforms or websites where Bitcoin whales are giving away Bitcoins in exchange for some work or for free? I remember when I was 12 years old you could for example solve a captcha, help people with small things, donate something to a fundraiser and with that get a reward in Bitcoin or are all of these things in the past and no more bitcoin sharing is happening at all?

Those things you've mentioned exist when the community is still small, and Bitcoin is not yet that popular, but Bitcoin now is worth thousands of dollars, you can do bounty hunting and trade to Bitcoin those tokens you've accumulate, or you can offer your service on what you are good at in exchange for Bitcoin, don't worry if it's a small amount of Bitcoin, it will soon worth a lot.

With the bitcoin price now increase so high, I do not think that bitcoin whales or services will pay you a big amount of satoshi because the situations are already changed. You can search for a job that will pay you with satoshi on the freelancer website based on your skills. But you can try to participate in the bounty campaign in this forum, so you can earn a free token that you can sell to have ethereum or bitcoin. You should not blame yourself for anything you've done in the past because that moment is already gone, but you still have a bright future if you want to work hard from now on.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
You are right, I should try to stop hating myself for mistakes done in the past and just work harder to achieve my goals with the methods suggested, easy Bitcoin is thing of the past.
Easy money is a scam, just accept the truth that bitcoin gone from a easily mineable crypto currency to play around with to a world moving crypto currency. Faucets ran out of being profitable back in 2015, mining solo became unsustainable post-2013.

It is a currency and you need to work to earn it, no easy way to get it from anywhere. And forget about whales, someone who tells you they are a whale is lying. The real whales always work from the shadows to manipulate the market, they would not reveal their information.

Today you need to spend cash to buy bitcoin or work for it. Lucky for you this forum has some users that you might be able to provide your services to. From managing campaigns, developing websites, graphics to simple signature campaigns.

Do you guys know any platforms or websites where Bitcoin whales are giving away Bitcoins in exchange for some work or for free?
You can find other platforms from the following list: Freelancing platforms which pay in Bitcoin
Take note: None of them give you free bitcoins and I highly doubt there's a so-called BTCitcoin whale behind any of these platforms.

You could simply sell virtual or digital products/services for Bitcoin.
Not just digital product [literally anything]...
@Dzeividz: Take note that most scammers usually take part [as a buyer/seller] in digital product sales [easier for them to run away].

You were very advanced small boy if you mined BTC at 12 years old. Unfortunately those days when anyone can mine BTC on old equipment and get BTC almost for free had gone forever. Now you need to work hard to earn BTC. News that Elon Mask is “giving 10 000 Bitcoin (BTC) to all community!" is scam! Don’t believe in such news. There is no such thing as a free lunch. If you have no money to invest in BTC look through bounty campaigns here on Bitcointalk, choose one of them and participate in signature campaign for instance. That can bring you tokens without investments.
As if OP is going to be accepted in bounty campaigns and the time of paying bounty campaigns has been gone a long time ago, there is only a few that is doing good and most of the time the team behind do not pay their participants. OP's story is a bit sketchy but I don't have any proof so I think OP might be a sharp guy because OP is mining bitcoin at that age. To answer the title, the only way I can think of that will work for you is buying bitcoin by the hundreds and investing it into something or offer some services.

Well, I'm sure you already know now as someone who has been into some bitcoin earning activities before and currently must have searched without results for a bitcoin rewarding activity to do without any positive result. Its really surprising to hear that, you started bitcoin from when you were 12yrs of age and had about 500 bitcoin in the past. I can only imagine where that or even half of it would have placed you in the scale of things and the society this day. Thats in the past though.

As for how to earn bitcoin, well, the forum has one. You have to be active in the forum to participate in some of its earning activities like the signature campaigns and periodic contests. You need rank to be able to participate in some while others, you just may not. Though, it would be best for you to at first, focus on learning a few basics till you can stand and discuss bitcoin freely before thinking of earnings.

The sites you say, faucets, are paying about 3 satoshis per claim nowadays. If you think it worth for you check Micro Earnings section. I'm also constantly seeking for platforms to earn extra bitcoins, but it's hard nowadays. I know some small gigs (micro jobs) sites, but they pay only in fiat currency.

Another option to earn crypto currency is something that hasn't even became a trend yet, but it will: blockchain games.
You can earn crypto by playing virtual games and selling items later to other players.

Earn it by working for it, or offer services to receive btc as a mode of payment, and like what some members already suggested, you can buy small amount of btc to begin with,  not necessarily the whole of it,
You can also join other alts campaigns here in forum to receive rewards to exchange for btc, all this means will not require spending too much money.

No need for you to determine and work for a whale because there are many clients or employers online that are willing to pay you for bitcoin with a service that you'll offer. 500 bitcoins, that's a lot. Why you didn't even write the recovery phrases or seeds?
In today's time, payment in bitcoin became lower in quantity because of the price but you should try any of those that has been suggested above.

Thank you.

It's okay that's how luck works, do not worry about the past since you cannot change it. Rather try and work hard for the future. I do think the answer to your question would be :
By selling your services
By participating in campain
By making videos and reviewing the popular and the new gambling sites.
By investing in other Altcoins but using them as a trading pair with Bitcoins and at the same time trading when the price is good and profitable.
Honestly there are a lot of ways , you can even lend your Bitcoins. But I don't think there is any easy earned money , well no one would ofcourse give you money without any reason , you yourself have to look for that reason , look for your hobby and make a living out of it.

i dont think you will find any bitcoin "whales" looking to give you money, maybe you should look for dogecoin "whales" instead.
then if you get 500 dogecoin, save it maybe in future could be worth more

You can search for freelance jobs that pays in BTC or other cryptocurrencies on the internet.

Here are some of the sites I found but I am not vouching for their credibility or legitimacy.
- blocklancer.net
- cryptogrind.com
- bitgigs.com
- bitfortip.com
- crypto.jobs

Other sites,
- https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/

There are also forums where members can give you a tip in altcoin for your articles or posts. You can keep on searching until you find which platform is right for you.

You could simply sell virtual or digital products/services for Bitcoin.
Just find something people find very valuable and sell at prices they can easily afford. I recommend virtual products for easy delivery and to make things easy for you and your customers.
You need to be very trustworthy though. I think you can build good reputation on a reputable escrow/smart-contract system with inbuilt reputation, terms of service, clear information about your products/services, quality guarantee/warranty etc.
This is what i think would work well for now in true crypto space without much problem.

You can also work to earn bitcoin. Like any other currency. It is money.

I have done small jobs for btc in the past, and i will certainly keep working for btc in the future!

Basically anything you can do online, you can be paid in btc to do.

Check the services board, you can offer and see some other services there, for BTc.

Bitcoin is money.
There are few sites where you can work for Bitcoin, but last time I've checked they were mostly full of pay-per-click offers.
There are faucets giving out some satoshi.
But...

Bitcoin is money.
In the days you may have earned 100s of Bitcoin, those 100s of bitcoin may have been pretty close to no monetary value. If you wasted those, tough luck.
Nobody sane will give you 50k USD worth of Bitcoin only to be nice. Never did. Stop having unrealistic expectations. Faucets give you so small amounts that you may need months until you get to withdraw (if it's not a scam faucet where you won't withdraw at all) and the amount may not be bigger than 10$ (after months, remember?)

Again, Bitcoin is money.
If you want to work for Bitcoin, fine. But if you only want (any kind of) "money", it may be easier for you to find yourself a day job. And if you want to invest and you think it worth it, then you can invest too. But that's not a must.

You can buy a fraction of a Bitcoin with a fraction of the thousands that you would've spent for an entire Bitcoin.

In 2012-ish faucets were giving whole Bitcoins but that doesn't exist anymore. If any sites tells you that, its probably too good to be true.
