Ah man, I was saving up for this. Guess I'll have to get it in another way. No hard feelings though, these are amazing knifes and I'm surprised it took so long for them to sell out.

Yeah sorry, that's why I was encouraging not to wait.

Perhaps make a cheaper version for us?

I can confirm...these knives are ridiculously awesome.

Thanks. When you hold one in your hand you will see how solid, heavy and very well built they are.

Lol price is still low even though bitcoin is up like $30 xD

Yeah I suspect bitcoin price is going up in the coming weeks. So now is the time to strike.

I believe we finally bottomed out on the price of Bitcoin and found the true bottom. It only took 15 months to correct the bitcoin price from damage Mark Karpeles' Mt Gox Willy Bot caused.

Holy shit... dude these are fucking nice. I'm going to get one of these when i buy my btc Cheesy

You should do it now while the bitcoin price is low. And while I have them in stock!

Well, I need to get payed this weekend, then i will order some.

Cool

Correct. I ship it using United States Postal Service.

This way it costs only about $25 USD to ship this heavy knife internationally. Using DHL/FEDEX/UPS it costs as much as the knife itself just to ship it! I'd have to double the price.
Ok, but the parcel would still be insured and online tracking available?

What country are you in?
It gets shipped with a customs number which is sort of like a tracking number. It shows some of the movements, but not all. They are not insured. That's why I don't ship to many countries. I ship only to countries where the product actually makes it safely.

Damn it looks awesome Shocked

Have you considered making any cheaper knives engraved with Bitcoin symbols and messages ?
I'd probably buy one at around 0.1 BTC, if it wasn't a collector's edition.

This is a good idea, but I have no immediate plans to do so.

USPS? So it was delivered by the postman and not by a parcel service?

Yes, this parcel was delivered by the postman.
I have had other USPS parcels, that were delivered by DHL.

If touching directly up against leather for a long period of time, possibly, yes.

We support you for as long as you need.
colinistheman-I just wanted to commend you on this knife.  We have been the "glass etchers/engravers" on this forum and in the bitcoin community for quite sometime and just started messing around with knives.  But can't say that our focus will ever be to the level of quality of where yours are at.  Are you engraving these yourself?  I love the gold plated concept to match up with Bitcoin.  Feel free to check out some of our glasses, maybe if you would like to offer more merch we can work something out!

Are you going to be making more of these hunting knives?  Or what's the story on that?

Just to show a few, thanks and once again, love your work!  Please let me know if you'll be making the bitcoin knives again!  I'd love to get my hands on one

Received mine today and it is beautyful! Thank you very much.
I was surprised, that it passed the german customs without paying tax.
I will take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
Guys, only a few left and a very fair price. Get it as long you can!

One question, how do I take proper care of it? I wont use it. Do I have to oil it or anything?

I believe you  don't want to sheath it for long term storage

Correct. Or, if you do you want to store it in the sheath, I would place the blade within a thin plastic bag or something (or cellophane) and then in the sheath for long-term storage. This is because leather contains moisture which can (over time) contact the blade, and the blade is high carbon steel.

I store it in an vitrine. Not in the sheath. And I don't use it. So, I do not have to oil it or something?

This is really a beautiful knife! Which shipping company do you use for sales to
Europe? DHL?

He used USPS for mine. (Germany)
Took only 9 days to get here.

Wow, these are really cool, what works of art!

Do you ever work with iron from a meteorite?  I've always wanted a meteoritic iron damascus knife/sword.

Hi Mikestang, I've never had a knife made with iron from a meteorite but it could be done if it was cleaned of all impurities and you had a solid, pure piece of iron.

However, this sounds more like a 35+ btc job, instead of 0.35 btc.  Smiley

Well, 35 might be a bit high, but yes, definitly put the numbers on the left of the decimal point.

Maybe someday, if I ever mine a block... Smiley

Some examples of meteorite damascus:

The materials to make this knife cost about $55 ($50 for the blade, $5 for brass and etching supplies), so I doubt the price will fall much further.

Good guess, but that's also not including labor. I'm actually considering raising it back up. The price is actually too low right now. I will honor purchases made at the current price only until I raise it.

Promise?

Edit: Buying the knife. Filling out the bitpay stuff, looking forward to it.

Yes.

And I see your order, mtwelve, and I have just shipped it out now.

--------------

Important note: Also, I want to let it be known that I have decided I will not be making another batch of these once they have sold out. They take a lot of work. These truly are going to be limited edition knives with this batch being the last. I want them to be rare. So get one while they last, because once they're gone, they're sold out!

IS there a number engraved on the knife?

I believe the correct term that should be used here is "etched" and not "engraved" if I am not mistaken.

Just lowered price to 0.5 btc!

Does the price include international shipping? I liked the sheath of the first series more than this one. Possibel to change it?

It is a heavy knife and costs about $25 to ship to international countries. The sheath is a black one on this edition.

Might buy one this time around. Low price, can pay in BTC, real tempting.

Get one while you can. I don't currently have another batch being made so the soonest one would even appear if I decided to would be about 2 months.
