As per the forum's rule. Bounties or more likely potential failed projects are not moderated. Bounties or any kind of advertisements are not liabilities of Forum mod and admins.

Well, you will not care about these shitty projects if you have not experienced getting scammed. If you are after for the knowledge you can get then probably you will ignore these scam project and does not prioritizing it.

What are the forum Administrators doing to check and identify Scam projects (BOUNTY CAMPAIGNS) being run  on the forum?
I see a lot of ICO Bounties that have sprung up in 2018. They promote new trademarks, projects and new innovations. This new ICO bounty can develop risks and considerations, so forum authorities and investors must be careful in placing investment, promotions, forums, bounty etc. but for that along with this many fraudulent activities are embedded.

Bitcointalk forum institutions that have been formed to protect forum members, admin find it difficult to control the Bounty scam and digital currency market and explode ICO scam activities makes it increasingly frustrating, I think for that one of the ways that admin can do : (Warning: Trade with extreme caution!)

I am alive but in hibernation.
There is only one administrator(thymos) the rest are mods.
When did this happened?

@OP , I guess you are one of them who still did not read the rules other wise you had not created this thread.
Forum is not moderating scam.

We have trust policy implemented here, if you find any scam project here, just make thread in Scam Accusations
,Community(DT) will take care of it.
So my question to you, what is your contribution in identifying scam project?

Now your question about what administration is doing for identifying scam project?
Administration is just distanced themselves with all ICO, Theymos is not auctioning the forum advertising space to any ICO. Administration does not want themselves to be engaged in finding legit and scam ICO.

... What are the forum Administrators doing to check and identify Scam projects (BOUNTY CAMPAIGNS) being run  on the forum? ...
nothing. checking legitimacy of bounty campaigns is not part of admin's job
if you have an issue with bounty campaign, you need to discuss it with your bounty manager
it should be resolved between the project owner, bounty manager and bounty participants

... I think the forum administrators should also try their possible best to get rid of project campaigns which could be a potential scam project.
all projects have potential to turn into scam, so you're asking admins to take down every single one of them?
admins are not bounty police, they don't even moderate a project that's already proven scam

This is a community for discussions about the bitcoin and other related matters, bounty signature campaigns are allowed on the forum, but they are not moderated by the forum..

If you happen to know any scam ICO, you can report it's managers in the SCam accusations board, and the matter would be investigated
But most times users hardly have any evidence

There is currently no active system to control or prevent scam ICOs.
This is a vast community and the users are primarily responsible for their safety and security.
The trust system helps to notify users of members who have been notably trustworthy and those who have not.

Again it is an unregulated system and giving at the discretion of the DT members and those within the users trust group.
Always be on your guard.

₿uy / $ell ..oeleo ;(
There is no way to tell which project is scam and which is not.
The most perfect example is MagicalTux. One of the most reputable users of the forum turned out to be a large scale scammer /Mt.Gox/
But he did quite a lot for the forum and the bitcoin development and was respected user with perfect reputation.
Then you gonna understand why Theymos has trust issues...

You retards better stop joining those ICO bounties already. Almost Every motherfucking thread in the forum is a bounty thread.  It is like 8/10 of latest posts is a bounty thread. When i click "show unread posts since last visit" i see nothing but bounty threads.

They don't do btc paying sig camps like they used to because they want to scam you with their shitcoin. And As far as I see, they even fail to pay that.

Go on spam the shit of this forum that nobody reads anymore.
My concern is not about bounty hunters joining and participating in those Bounties. I'm looking at the situation where the general public is being scammed by these projects which in return destroying  the reputation of the whole idea of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Some people are against the use of cryptocurrencies because of ponzi schemes run by some ICO projects.

So you want the admin here and the moderators give you a list of trusted ICO how much are you going to pay them for doing this, admin is not getting anything from us, but we are getting coins from these bounties, so it's our job to search for ICO where you can make a profit don't put the obligation to the administrators if you cannot oblige yourself to do your job

Scam is not Moderated, the only thing you can do is report here Scam Accusations and wait for a DT member to tag involved accounts.

We should not oblige them, it should be our obligation to check if the ICO we are investing in and promoting are legit their is already a scam section there where members are posting their findings, bounty hunters should help one another not obliging the administrators here.

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
The moderators can't identify all scams and there is no such identifiers to detect it, it's all on common sense to identify it before you trust your money. And I guess that's not the obligation of the administration to identify scam projects, if you'll go through Scam Accusations section you'll find there that there are numerous individuals who try to help other individuals on this so called shitcoins.

You know better enough of it because you're my Senior in this forum, understand that project fails, most ICOs are meant to fail unless you found on the 1% of it as a minimum that are good ones. Know the risk then at the end if it has been successful, harvest it.

It's a forum and he doesn't take the responsibility to protect your money. You invest through token sale sites and smart contract addresses, you DO NOT invest through bitcointalk.org. You should understand that bitcointalk is only a discussion/information forum.

But there is one particular thing that keeps bothering me with regards to this forum and this makes me doubt the credentials of the forum administrators.
Have you really been a member here since 2014?  Seems to me that you'd kind of know the answer to the question you're asking by now.  The admins have decreed that scams will not be moderated, so yeah anyone is free to announce any scam ICO they'd like and bilk as many people as they can sucker into investing in such projects--and they do exactly that.  Frequently.

You retards better stop joining those ICO bounties already.
Couldn't agree more.  Not only do the bounty participants spam the shit out of bitcointalk, but they do it on social media as well and they're basically professional spammers.  Not exactly a career to be proud of.

They don't do btc paying sig camps like they used to because they want to scam you with their shitcoin.
I've noticed that, too, and it's unfortunate.  There were a lot of bitcoin-paying campaigns with projects/exchanges/services that were actually worth paying people to advertise.  But I've said it before:  this land of limitless bounty-spamming opportunity is going to come to an end once people wake up and figure out that these tokens and projects are designed solely to enrich the devs (if it's an actual project) or scammers (which is usually the case nowadays, with the ANN section being filled with scam projects having photoshopped founders and plagiarized whitepapers).

Go on spam the shit of this forum that nobody reads anymore.
I'm not quite that pessimistic about bitcointalk, but if it gets any worse the part of your statement above WILL be true.

Signature space for rent
Most likely OP not yet meet with Scam Accusation board. I am sorry to say that because OP never made a single post there. If we can't find scam project ourselves then how can we force admin ? On the other hand this matter already discussed on multiple time but scam isn't moderated by forum. You can read rules. It's not easy to identify scam or not. If scam moderate by forum then member's will ask question to admin if happen any scam. So it's very difficult. But as a forum member you can make sound against scam since there is Scam Accusation board, DT member's will handle them by trust system. If you are lazy to research about ICO project then you deserve scam. That's your money and you have to decide where should you invest. Forum hasn't right to play with your money. This forum for crypto discussion. So you can report scam if you found any and help forum yourself.

There is only one administrator(thymos) the rest are mods and you don't expect the forum to check mate every signature been one by members that would be an unrealistic task. The forum is fair enough to allow you engage in bounties at your free will so long you meet the requirements to do so. Now you expecting them to check for scam bounties for members then they would probably rename the forum from bitcointalk to bountytalk. And besides the awareness of scam ranging from ico, bounties, exchanges and so on are being discussed on the forum every individual is liable for his errors the forum has played it's part

Not agreed with you. There are thousands of bounty and moderators will not know which one is fair and which one scam.
I encourage you to read the rules here, where it is written that scams are not moderated.
19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).

It was a great initiative by the forum Administrators to introduce the merit system which has helped with the problem of spamming and reduced the number of shitposts on the forum. But there is one particular thing that keeps bothering me with regards to this forum and this makes me doubt the credentials of the forum administrators. What are the forum Administrators doing to check and identify Scam projects (BOUNTY CAMPAIGNS) being run  on the forum? I realized that anyone could create a thread about their projects and launch bounty campaigns for bounty hunters to promote them. In as much as getting shitposter and spammers off the forum, I think the forum administrators should also try their possible best to get rid of project campaigns which could be a potential scam project.
