Hello guys, I'm a student from a university and also a crypto enthusiast. I'm super passionate about this whole space so I want to explore more. I have been seeing some crypto events that are held in Nigeria, teaching students about crypto and other ecosystems.

If you look at this tweet from Twitter: https://x.com/AllstarsNG/status/1808461926357209403, you will see tons of students participating and learning about solana, onboarding into solana ecosystem as well. So I am also curious how can I apply for myself for these kinds of crypto programs and gain a lot of things alongside my studies?

My brother, to be sincere with you, as you be student now, I believe say you no get source of income, if not I for say make you invest in Bitcoin, but in cryptocurrency generally, their are so many ways of making money, so as a student that you are, I suggest you do airdrop, because na the only way you fit earn from cryptocurrency without putting your hard earned money in it.
Besides airdrops, there are other ways he can accumulate small bits of crypto rewards by doing Little and complex tasks as the case may be for example
  • Freelancing for crypto payments
  • Chasing faucets
  • Detecting bugs on testnets
  • Engaging in play to earn games in Blockchain enabled games
  • Referral programs for new and existing exchanges
Although these programs might have it's own difficulty, but it's definitely a starting point in your crypto journey if you have no consistent source of money in order to be a good Bitcoin investor.

You need to consider the fact that you are a student, so there are some risks that you shouldn't think of taking..the crypto space is highly volatile this makes it quite risky and as a student losing money can ruin your focus which might affect your academics.. Before venturing into the financial market you must make sure you have a backup business to support you, relying only on crypto isn't really a good idea because if you blow your accounts you would have nothing to fall back to, I can only advice you to learn about it while you are in school, understand the market and take advantage of opportunities when the time comes.

Crypto comes with a lot of emotional rollercoasters at the early stages, as a student you should be focused on learning the crypto space and involved in other aspects of crypto that doesn't involve financial investments like crypto mining. You can also look out for other opportunities online like affiliate marketing, drop shipping, content creating and so on. As a student losing money is something you don't want to do because at that phase of life every money you have is important, it wouldn't hurt to learn about it and invest in it when you have something that gives you money.

The crypto space is filled with endless opportunities and at the same time it can come with a lot of psychology breakdown when you start making some losses, in crypto volatility is constant and the markets direction can change at anytime but when properly studied the losses can be minimized. As a student I wouldn't advice you to go into crypto hodling or trading just yet, you can participate in mining airdrops which doesn't require any form of financial investment. Investing financially in crypto as s student isn't really a good idea in order for you not to disrupt your academics.
Mining or airdrops can waste extra time with a proportionally smaller return. If you don't get paid in proportion to the amount of work you put in, it's not fair. Yes mining or airdrops used to give a lot of profit even before some years but in recent times most of the airdrops cheat people and fail to give them their fair dues. Investment decisions as a student may not be good and he should learn freelancing or other demanding technical work along with his studies so that he can earn extra income while continuing his studies. Later when you are self-sufficient you can continue investing or depositing crypto on your own.
You should remember that true peace of mind exists in obtaining something with difficulty.
Currently there is really nothing better than mining and airdrops. At present comparatively little is obtained from them. Again in many cases the airdrops turn out to be fakes which do not pay. A student should not make any concessions in his studies, he can devote time to freelancing when his studies are done properly. Money is very necessary in a student life, so it would be great for a student if he can earn money by freelancing at the same time while keeping up with his studies. As a result, he can better continue his studies, but he must suffer for it. Earnings are not without hardships, also in this age technical knowledge is very necessary in every field, so along with studies one has to acquire technical skills and gain knowledge about satisfying subject so that he will not get stuck anywhere in future and also in student life he can earn money by freelancing.

Welcome to the community, this is a very nice place to get the knowledge you wishes or desire to have about Bitcoin and some other project and as a student it's very good to have Bitcoin knowledge because it's going to help you in school and even after school but starting now is the best. One secret I want to share with you is that if you must learn, you must be quiet, calm, tolerant, don't be in a rush say something even when you are right etc. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick something, it requires a lot of patient and discipline etc, unless you want to go into trading or gambling which is not safe or encouraging because getting an exact speculation is very difficult so I will advise you avoid trading and focus on investing using the DCA ( dollar cost average) method.

So I am also curious how can I apply for myself for these kinds of crypto programs and gain a lot of things alongside my studies?

First thing, you are a student this means that you won't be fully involved in crypto, becoming actively involved in crypto means you are ready to take a lot of risks that might affect your studies if they end up going sideways, my advice is for you to learn all you can about the market now, take your time to learn from other people's mistakes. There are lots of students that rushed into crypto currency without proper learning, this made them end up in a lot of debts. But if you have more than enough to the risk then you can go ahead
I don't see any problem with crypto investing as a student if you have enough money and are over 18. You should remember that people become more experienced when they can practice a lot. If a student learns regularly about trading along with his studies, he can emerge as an experienced investor as he grows older. As a student he will refrain from investing heavily and he will refrain from taking too much stress as he is trading crypto only as a hobby and to earn a small amount of money. If later he wants to choose crypto trading as a profession, it can help him get a lot of profit. So I think a person from a student status should spend time on crypto separately.

You need to avoid some certain altcoins as a beginner and secondly seeing tons of students participating in learning solana doesn't make them successful because I can already see that your mindset about those people is that they are getting paid in Solana by conducting such program, so perhaps if your interest is to make something from Bitcoin in the future you need to stop yourself from even thinking or participating on those programs because there is nothing you can benefit from it because is just a kind of program established to create awareness to the public about the solana coin.

Except you want to limit your scope to Solana, beyond Solana are a broader scope you can explore as a crypto enthusiast and  not only make money but creat a niche and an ecosystem for yourself that will become a platform for others in the nearest future such that it automatically generates income without having to work so much at some point, one of such you can explore is around the nft space which has a niche in the Solana block chain project aswell.

Myself I did started my crypto journey as a student, then I used money from my allowance to get some holdings and when they grew as a result of the bullrun few years ago, I diversified and that's how I. Have been able to benefit from the crypto space but if you want to enter the crypto space without having to spend at all, then you may have to start with airdrop scouting from which you can be able to raise funds to further proceed to make some more diversification and if you are able ro create some sustainable grounds in the crypto space then you can be sure to make hood strides beyond your start point.

Why dem Dey teach those students about solana ecosystem, if you teaching student about crypto, then it’s suppose to be about bitcoin, and not solana. We know say na bitcoin start crypto, and anybody wey wan learn suppose start from bitcoin, teaching students about solana, me I don’t know wetin person wey Dey teach them get for mind, but I feel say no be right thing him Dey teach.

You don sabi crypto already, why you wan enroll in things like dis? Do you really need it? You sabi d way dis our country matter be, if you wan enroll in all this kin thing, dem go ask you to pay first, so make you prepare for that, and me I don’t really know how u go take sabi say Dey wan do all those programs, because me I never do am before, so I don’t follow all those things.
Na Solana dey host the event na why. Them must talk about their self. You no go hear anything about bitcoin for these events na only Solana based blockchain stuff na you go dey hear if you won get info about bitcoin na bitcoin seminar you go go nor be the one wey altcoins project organize. The seminars na free, I never see anyone way them ask attendees to pay money. Them dey do am to promote themselves for universities so why them go won collect money again.

I no know how your pocket be if not I for say make you just buy bitcoin and hodl. Student life no really easy like that. If money no dey your hand way go cover your waka for school no go invest for crypto o. The only thing way you go fit do now na to dey find side hustle for campus way go dey give you small money. You go carry for mind say any money way you make from there na bitcoin you won use am buy. If lectures kwa no allow you fit hustle, na bounty and airdrop be your other option and that option no too get head like that because many of the projects way dey come out na 419.

If a person is in school, it is difficult for him to invest because students cannot support themselves for lengthy periods of time. However, you should have another source of income that will allow you to invest in bitcoin and profit in the long run. You are correct; if there is no airdrop, students will do nothing else except invest their money online. Many students now participate in airdrops during lunchtime to ensure their survival at school. Op, you are in a better place is just for you to learn how the forum works very well and perform better posts to get merit and get campaigns that will be supporting to invest in bitcoin and when you invest you will be getting more idea about bitcoin, but if you don't have anything you can't invest in bitcoin and don't try to borrow or used your foodstuffs or school fees to invest in crypto. because is volatile you can lose anytime and you will put your self in big problem and you will still enter debt,  so if you don't have enough money to invest in bitcoin just wait and look for something that will be bringing funds then you can start your journey on bitcoin investment.

Crypto has many opportunities for students like you and me as we are just trying to learn and understand from the forum. Here you have to make your own position, I mean make your own career. You have to use your own intelligence and latent talent to shed light on this forum. Since we are new in the initial stage, we have to follow the rules and even try to learn slowly. Moreover if we think about earning from this forum first then there are bounties and airdrops for us. You might be able to earn money by spending time here but Telegram bot campaigns from Bounty have created a lot of hype among people these days.

A few days ago NotCoin and DOGS distributed payments to AirDrop users. There are still some projects running today that have the potential to make a lot of money, which may apply to you.

So, while you are starting out in this crypto space, it's always advisable to take your time to study the market, to do your own research, ask people that are into the space for a long time questions. And you are already in the right place, asking the questions, you could always ask questions from advanced people in the crypto space.

So, while studying the market, I will say you should start up with airdrops, join airdrop communities in your schools, make sure you try your best to participate in airdrops that people have confirmed and researched that it is worth it, and you've also done your research. So, when you earn from these airdrops, you can now know if you want to invest in them.

So, while learning about crypto, you will be exposed to okay coins that you can invest in, even after they list as airdrops or existing coins that you can invest in and get returns. So, that's how it can benefit you, you start up with airdrop and keep learning about the space.

When you get money from airdrop, or maybe you have external source that gives you money, after studying and knowing the coins or the market you want to invest in, you can start with small investment. And don't stop asking questions, because yes, there are a lot of scam projects and scam coins everywhere these days.

As a student, you have all it takes to engage yourself to cryptocurrency activity by learning and participating in some crypto events and airdrops just to learn. You have the time and the fresh brain to learn about cryptocurrency and also get to know this forum better.

In this forum, you will learn free of charge, all you just need is to dedicate your time for learning just as you are doing in school because you have fresh brain to know it more better.

. So I am also
curious how can I apply for myself for these kinds of crypto programs and gain a lot of things alongside my studies?
Applying such programs is risky; some of them don’t have knowledge, they only read to lecture you guys just for the money.
I will advice to take this forum serious because you don’t have to register into any program and you will learn from the forum and you can even ask questions when you need more clarification.

what are the opportunities for a student like me in crypto?
There are many opportunities wey you go get if you start the investment now. And the first thing you need to do be say, you have to get an extra way of income so that when you start di investment, you no go touch the bitcoin investment. Either you dey dey sell clothes to generate income and use the income to in invest in bitcoin. And na do best time to invest be this. If you invest now, and when you finished school then you go make good profit from the investment. Though I don't know which of the level you dey in school. And I can see that many people dey tell you to focus on your education but I also disagree with them. You are in university means your are not a kid. And invest in bitcoin has nothing to do with your reading or studies. Invest and leave it there to manure and only come back to harvest am.

As a student, you have the biggest advantage to participate on campus based ambassadorship deals. I have seen several web3 projects and exchanges like Bybit, Binance (not anymore I think. But in the past). You first need to spend time to research and explore projects that are offering such projects. The activities you'd be indulge typically involve hosting and managing on campus events to onboard other students to the projects you'd be representing. Other than these ambassadors/campus based opportunities, you can try your luck trading, investing or just offering product/services/skills for payment in Bitcoin and crypto.

Additionally, there are often community based programs that you can participate in as well as airdrops.
The fact that our OP is still a student means that there's a whole opportunity open to tap wealth from. Besides being an ambassador for a crypto brand, there's the new rave of web3 clicker games which is arguably one of the most invested projects right now and its gaining popularity on Telegram at the moment.

This web3 project belongs to a category of crypto projects known as the “Play to earn category” which has seen other similar crypto games projects like Tapswap, Notcoin, Blum, and Dotcoin rewarding the players with airdrops, tokens and coins that can be redeemed.

As a student with time and Internet access, and with the knowledge of cryptocurrency, such games would be an enabling environment to earn from, as long as one gives it attention and time, no funds needed for start playing also, before one gets to claim the opportunities it offers.

ther are so many students that are in the crypto ecosystem who are doing well for themselves. We know the country we're currently in, you can't just face your studies squarely and refused making intentional effort to start making money while you're still in school. It's true that it's certainly risky to go into crypto as a student even if you're interested in full time investing in Bitcoin or trading of crypto but it's just better to start getting involved quite early so before you're done with school, you should have learned all your lessons and made all the necessary losses and mistakes there's to be encountered. At least, you're fortunate to be a part of this forum where you can fact check whatever thing you want to get into so as to minimize your loss.

As a student, three things should necessarily preoccupy you throughout your stay in school as long as gaining financial relevant when you're done from school is concerned. Your studies should always Come first so you can at least come out with a good grade and then the nexr thing is to use the rest of your time to learn a good skill iether digital or not. If you've gotten a skill and you're earning as a student, it's best to start investing for what will become of you after you're done with school. If you're able to get these three area right or at least touch on some of these areas, you're going to come out of school stronger than most of your peers.

If you want to know more on cryptocurrency then you don't have to start from Solana and I will not advise anyone to start learning from Solana. It is a waste of time. Learn from the king of cryptocurrency which is bitcoin and this forum is the best place to learn and all what you have to do is to ask questions whatever you don't understand. and another thing to do is to read other people comments and threads.

And if you have some cash then start the investment now. As a student you normally have allowance therefore you can buy bitcoin from there and it will make the investment plan easy for you. Though we all know why you are here. And since you are a student don't rely on that but make a real investment and grow your investment every month or weekly. All depends on the time you got your allowance. There are students that are here that are doing well here. And don't depend on campaign. Investing will make you to learn faster as well.

As a student, there are many opportunities in the crypto space which you can explore and still get to become proficient and profitable in the space, one of the opportunities will be in the exchange of crypto using the P2P platforms created by various crypto exchanges, this may actually look very much capital intensive but you can be sure that its not  going to take much of your time since you are a student. trading is another aspect that you may want to explore but its such that may not really be ideal for a beginner whos a student and has got a whole lot to divide his time amongst.

If you get on to study very well about the crypto market and you eventually get to be really proficient with the crypto space, an opportunity in education is another you can choose to explore using your proficiency. these are only but a few other opportunities the crypto space avails people like you. investment is another but its capital intensive and i don't know how much you can be willing to invest in it at once, or better still you can venture in Airdrops and from there raise free capital with which you can start your crypto journey.

Be careful as many of those types of programs, seminars are targeted towards getting referrals and increasing the community of the organizers so dem go use una cashout. Some platform give their ambassadors tasks and dem use the picture and videos from those gatherings as prove of completing the tasks without teaching the attendees any valuable thing. Na why you go always see them dey more interest in taking pictures and videos instead of lecturing you guys. You no need to dey attend all this seminar to understand wetin the industry dey about.

Knowing about bitcoin while still a student is already a very big opportunity that many of us did not know about. So I will first congratulate you for this rare privilege of getting to know what can help you achieve your dreams faster than the conventional way of graduating from school before deciding on what to do. With bitcoin, you would have already secured the capital needed to pursue any business idea or career path you would have chosen in the course of your studies.

The limitation most of us faced was getting the capital to start up our business or further our career. I am speaking from personal experience because funding was a big challenge when I graduated as I had business ideas I would have pursued. Another option was also to continue with post graduate but still the funding was not there. Meanwhile I had access to some money while in school and if I had known about bitcoin, I would have been able to invest some of those funds there to save against graduation.

What I will advise you is to work out a means through which you will be able to start investing in bitcoin now that you are in school. You can invest as low as $10 per week and do this consistently until you graduate and you will be happy and proud of yourself because this might just be the gateway to your breakthrough.

So I am also curious how can I apply for myself for these kinds of crypto programs and gain a lot of things alongside my studies?

You don’t need to apply for anything already; you have been in the forum and solved all your problems. All you need to do is get ready to learn because, as their country is going, no one needs crypto currency more than students because even after school there is no job, so focusing more on having that knowledge and experience in order for them to start it as early as possible is what will help them.

So what I will tell you is that your problem is solved since you are already here. All you need to do is go and do your research on crypto currencies and all you need to know about them. If you find it hard to understand, that's when you can bring your question back here to get an answer. There are more professionals here that know more about crypto currencies than even those that you are wishing to register with, so you can start your journey before it’s too late.

It is good as a student to diversify your knowledge in several aspects because this is Nigeria, it is not anyone that graduated from university work based on their profession, and cryptocurrency has helped several graduates to become independent and has reduce the chances of youths going into thefts and armed rubbery which we all know that is are mostly caused by lack of work and hunger.

Attending such seminars might cost you some money through transportation, registration, and others, but you can learn all these while staying in your school through some youtube channels, this forum, and some cryptocurrency books.
Feel free to ask any question you can ask here, and we can help you with answers to grow your crypto knowledge.

You are a student and somehow in a very good position to learn anything you want to learn now for the later in your life. You are in a good position because at this point, you are not yet under the pressure from life and the economy to meet up and may still have access to some kind of assistance when you require it. There are many opportunities for you as a student, since you are already passionate about cryptocurrency, you have the time to settle down to explore the options and choices.

If only you go fit give in your time and effort to this forum, it's still also one of the best place to learn all you need to know about Cryptocurrency in general, both new projects, airdrops, reputable casinos for gambling and likewise earn cryptos from, if you are opportuned to join either a signature campaign, bounty or lucky enough to win a contest organized on the games and round board of the forum. But however, it's not an easy job, as it will require both time and dedication to be able to bring this into reality just as we all did , growing from Newbie into the rank we are today. So, if we could do it, I don't think with the right mindset, you shouldn't have any excuse why not to achieve it.
Very nice how yet being a student does not hinder anyone from becoming part of the forum, Bitcoin enthusiasts or delving into the world of cryptocurrency. Everyone of us here can testify on how much knowledge we have derived from being in this forum simply by making use of little as much of our time to read posts/topics, get involved into some forum activities that requires us to make research, doing all this will improve how much we know and in due time even get to earn from the forum. The forum is the right place to be when in search of Bitcoin/Crypto knowledge.

I don't think you have to apply to such programs before you can gain good knowledge about this space , though the program is nice bringing more awareness to the Cryptospace. But you are already in the right place to learn here you don't have to apply in any form of programs and stuff you just have to he active , go through the posts or threads made by knowledgeable users here.

And as you are learning More about cryptocurrencies also try and develop the zeal to always do your own personal research , because in this space if you don't have the zeal to read or to do your own research the chances of being successful in it will be low that's why you have to take your time and learn more , and you have gotten some money to spare I will advice you to invest it in bitcoin. There are many ways you can earn in this space without investing any money and I will say Barikui1 as done a nice job naming some for you.

You have asked one of the most important questions on the forum and even on the internet. And this is a good place to start.
First, do not follow the group. Write than your goal for wanting to be in the crypto space. They should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. It shouldn't just be some random ambiguous goal.

Second, identify resources, persons, network, and other stuff that you will need to achieve this goal. Mind you money is not the problem. So do not say you don't have money. As long as you can afford mobile date to access the internet and you have a smart phone, you are good to go.

Third, after you have mapped out these resources and all listed above, engage with them. Soon enough, you will be in the midst of opportunities in the crypto space like you desire. Wishing you the best as toy search for this opportunities.

You are in the right place in bitcointalk forum to learn about cryptocurrency, experienced members will tell you the undiluted truth about anything that you need to know about cryptocurrency. As Barikui1, has emphasized to you, as you are a student, if you don't have a source of income you can not invest in any cryptocurrency because you need money to make money in cryptocurrency. Unless you are depending on airdrop rewards to make money but it is not all of them that will give you crypto reward, there are a lot of scams in the crypto space. You can focus on learning about Bitcoin and altcoins in this forum pending when you will have money to invest and when you do, buy Bitcoin and hodl it, you need to DYOR before investing in altcoins because there are many scam projects. You can also start to learn about crypto trading, it requires learning trading skills from experienced traders and you can start with demo trading, pending when you can raise money for actual trading.

I believe say since you be crypto enthusiastic just as you talk, you fit done hear about Notcoin and how e pay people wetin no nice, though chasing airdrop dy stressful due to say, some of them fit be complete waste of time, that's why e dy very important to dy sure say that particular project go pay before  you start doing most of their daily task.

Lastly, no forget say alt coin and shit coin no dy trustworthy, so as you dy do airdrop so,  and if peraventure any of them pay you, sell the coin and reinvestment that money in Bitcoin, because na only Bitcoin be the asset in this crypto space way you fit hold and you mind go just rest.

This your advise go well. He can check hamster, Blum and tapswap. If he gets lucky he can get liquidity to invest in BTC from them.. or if he really want he fit check this out too. https://x.com/BitgetAfrica/status/1810649532641755206?t=oMUjPN5xCAX-Is9bOk51rg&s=19. A question you should ask yourself first is if you want to be a beneficiary in the crypto spheres to gain the knowledge aspect or you are willing to adopt the currencies for utilities?
This question is crucial because many crypto enthusiasts have got those knowledges acquired about the technology taken for granted without knowing they've attained the foundation to create wealth and all they needed to do is to make key in with an effort to invest in it and start that goal of profit earning with the highest capacity they could afford.
As for you Op, I don't think your bargaining to join that Solana program seems best for you as a beginner because right in the program would be strictly on the Solana Coin project and they wouldn't be so transparent to let you know much about the cons of it to be side effects instead you'd more exposed with the pros which means they're basically on that particular coin marketing strategies.
So, I think this forum would tech you better and guide your ways in a honest transparencies.
You really need to know that Solana is an AltCoin and not bitcoin because at times, marketers gets you convinced and confused til you surged to adopt an unintended coin.

There is no need for you to apply on any project to gain knowledge on cryptocurrency because you are in the right forum where you can learn and have the knowledge that you desire on bitcoin. Forget about shitcoins and learn more about bitcoin because only bitcoin has the potential to survive for long due to her decentralized nature. Many people no know much about cryptocurrency but for this forum we get experts we go teach you anything we you won learn just ask questions and dey read more of high rank posts. If you get source of income, you fit still use little part of am buy bitcoin to get the experience of holding bitcoin but no sell am just hodli.
