What is your other property? You can say more clearly. But I think maybe not because trading BTC can only rely on other altcoin and USD. Other assets are not accepted on the exchange.

Since we are beginning to see the emergence of bitcoin futures, i personally expect bitcoin to be traded alongside other major currencies on FOREX platforms for instance in the near future (say like 5 years) as well as against precious metals. But the price volatility and manipulative tendencies associated with bitcoin would have to give way or become drastically reduced before we see that happen in my opinion.
This is one of the things we should get to expect even with the regulation that seems is gradually knocking on the door but I tend to see that this may cause some huge interest and we may get to see some little bit of stability in the long run without a very huge fluctuation as the case may be. Nevertheless, for now, we can only enjoy with fiat or other cryptocurrency, so we are still getting there gradually.

Bitcoin is very useful and in demand in trading. But I wonder what other assets can be used in trading for bitcoin aside from cash and other coins?
If we are talking about assets, you can practically trade it into anything via peer to peer here in this forum (in marketplace section), specially to digital goods. You can also buy in game items through Bitcoin( there are some games who accept it directly but for some, you need third party apps.). You can also use Bitcoin to buy Amazon gift cards and other gift cards(using a third party website).

according to my knowledge of trading you can do with dollars, bitcoin, and Ethereum also you can use for trading not only that there are many more that you can use for trading it all depends on what coin you want to buy.
Yeah, although it depends on the exchange you are making use of, but in general, bitcoin is still very much tradable with normal fiat. However, except for USDT which is a cryptocurrency in the equivalent of fiat, most of the assets one can still trade with now are basically other coins until we get to see some form of regulation, and maybe there would be chance to trade with other assets in the long run the same way we have fiats with physical assets on MTs.

So far, no wallet provider is willing to exchange valuables other than fiat money. Unless you redeem them to a commercial in the sense other than the Wallet provider.
Yes, and that is the reason why we have most of the fiat based exchanges anyway that allows one to trade directly with fiat.

Also, for those who may be trading their coin in real life for some physical asset such as real estate or something which I have bumped into one in my country, then it must be an owner that is highly enthusiastic about bitcoin. Over time, maybe with regulation, we will get to start seeing some additional tradable assets on exchanges though.

Cryptopia – Cryptopia is a great one-stop-shop for a wide range of cryptocurrencies. Besides being an exchange and a wallet, it is also a marketplace where you can sell and buy almost anything for bitcoins and altcoins.

Aside from Altcoin, you can trade your shopping with bitcoin. There are many website that offer such service. You shop on amazon and they exchange your bitcoin for the payment of your goods. There are allowed other that sell you airtime for bitcoin.
Shopping on amazon is not an asset but if we are really talking about general things anyway asides just being an asset, bitcoin can easily be traded.

We may still have some limits now as to the level of adoption most especially by merchants and use in the mainstream, but we are not where we used to be before which I am sure shows that in the future, we will be getting closer to easily trading with any assets such as AUG, Oil, etc. just like we have it on normal fiat based trading on meta traders for Forex. Regulation should usher these things in I guess.

I think there are few of the projects which are looking forward to use junk for bitcoin. This means that they will be buying old stiff of your for any crypto currency that you want and they are stressing more on the bitcoin. You can also take this concept as pawn stars show where people come and sell valuable stuff at the shop. The only difference is this is online, virtual and related to the crypto currencies. I think that can be considered as different option to invest into the bitcoin aside from the cash and other coins. Very good concept but unfortunately it is still a concept.

Where is my ring of blades...
all you need to know is that bitcoin is a currency and that should answer all your questions. because just like any other currency (eg USD) technically you can use bitcoin to trade anything you can think of. from altcions to currencies and to physical goods.

the problem is that as long as there are no platforms to do such trades on, you will have to find people to trade with manually like searching on forums, etc. there actually are some platforms to trade a lot of things for bitcoin, I have even seen platforms to trade stocks with bitcoin.
and as bitcoin becomes more popular it will be used more in cases like these.

Correct. The only main factor is that the official platforms offering to trade certain products tied to Bitcoin right now, aren't actually related to Bitcoin. It's just that they are tethered to its price.

In no shape or form do they contribute to Bitcoin's ecosystem, which is what I would like to see change. It would be great to buy actual exposure in form of coin backed funds, which Coinbase is close to set up.

It needs regulatory approval, but I think with Coinbase's status, it will likely be just a matter of time. I strongly believe that coin backed funds are the main reason for coins to become more scarce.

The more coins are taken off the market, the more impact the demand will have, even when it remains stable for a longer period of time. Combine that with the already low number of available coins, and you'll feel my words.

Perhaps you got trade them against precious medals like gold and silver? However that seems like a complicated endeavor and one that many governments would get involved with. I can't think of much else atm.
We cant see these things as of now which bitcoin being traded off with those assets like those precious metals you do mean or even on crude oil or whatsoever. This is actually possible but there would really be an interference with the government and there no really doubt on that and maybe this is one of the reasons why we haven't still see such one for btc to be traded of with some asset.
