FYI, I was mining Monero since my last post for about a month using several computers like my personal and business laptop and also on several phones and tablets. I think I had 3 devices mining constantly and partly up to 5. Most have several cores. In the end I did not even mine a single Monero coin, just maybe 1/10 of an entire coin. I can doublecheck again and get the exact figures. Long story short, it was just complete waste of time.

Go for cryptonote coins. Mining monero can yield something for you if you have a free electricity.
I'm running a miner in my office desktop and they never know about it.

Hey! It's a good idea... how much you earn per day?

With a normal or expensive desktop you cannot mine bitcoins. However with a latest generation PC with 2 good cards , i.e GTX 1070 you can mine LBRY or ZCASH which are still profitable to mine with your graphic cards. 2 GTX 1070 should give you about 100-120 USD per month with the actual price of LBRY and the GTX 1070 hashing power of 350-400 MH/S each card when mining Lbry.

Won't it slow down you system? Also Monero, on an average PC produces around few dollar worth of coins. Do you think it's worth the time?
