You can use Paypal to make withdrawals, I have not tried this method yet but there are many people who have used it smoothly in recent times. If you can't use paypal, it's best to trade P2P and get cash. I think this is a simple way but it will take some of your time

I heard that you can send your bitcoin in your paypal account to convert it into fiat and for you to cash out in other countries. But in our country which is the Philippines, we have a online crypto wallet named coins.ph that you can cash out your bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies like BCH, XRP, and ETH in your bank account and remittance center that are available at your place.

There are many platforms that may help you to convert your Bitcoin to other currency like Skrill, PayPal, even Bitcointalk forum has this services! Then you can easily cash them out through master card. Though this is not an easy process, you have to prepare before going to other countries. Most of the country doesn't have Bitcoin ATM, so, person to person is the only way at that time!

in my opinion search for bitcoin exchange service to paypal this will make it easier for you in any country if you exchange your bitcoin to paypal

Good point because PayPal is accepted and supports almost everywhere. But its good that before you travel, check if there is a local crypto exchange on that country, or whether crypto or BTC is legal and accepted. I not, then you can use third-party crypto to fiat services if available like Paypal, western union, etc. There are services out there but be careful some scams and fraud.

If i ever go to another country and try to cash out Bitcoin,

what are the ways?

Only two things i can think of...

1. Make certain bank account where i can cash out Bitcoin

2. In person

1st option may not be possible though at certain country...

Well it is possible depending on the country are you going to visit, if Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency is banned in a certain country then it is really impossible but if it accepted then you won't any have a problem our cashing it out.
Personally, I am not very fond of having a transaction in another person simply because I am the type of person who is cautious and doesn't want to make a deal in person.
This might be a worst case if OP visits a country where bitcoins are already banned and he want's to cashout bitcoins in that country. This might not seem on the side of OP but I am sure this might not be the case. There are plenty of ways to cashout bitcoins directly into the native currency as there have been a number of platforms which does allow us to do the same.

Even, I can understand why you are not willing to cashout bitcoins directly in-person as most of the peoples including me does not feel this a reliable way to trade with bitcoins. I am living in a single country and did never intend to sell my bitcoins over the nation boundaries so until date, I never faced any such issue.

So he needs to find another way to cash out his bitcoin. He can find local sellers from here, or he can use the bitcoin ATM. But the best suggestion to him is before he travels to another country, he should cash out to fiat, and exchange to the local currency that he wants to visit so he doesn't have to think about cashing out his bitcoin in the destination country. That can prevent him from the scam, and he can also have the money that he will use in another country. He can Google about his question, and I am sure that he can find the right answer before he visits the other country.

Maybe for some countries that have a Bitcoin ATM, it can be withdrawn directly. But what about migrant tourists who don't have an ATM card to withdraw on BitcoinATM? wouldn't this be troublesome too. The only way is to use a debit card that is owned by Visa / Mastercard in which the funds will be sent from the exchange to our bank account, then use cash withdrawals with a debit bearing the Visa / Mastercard logo.

You want to find out the Bitcoin ATM country and where you are traveling in that place ATM should be available so find out that first and if you found also the transaction fee is very high so i suggest than doing Bitcoin cash  out better you can convert it or purchase something as your requirements or you can travel there are so many ways but I don't find this is worth.

Do your own research and be smart.

depend on which country you are going, because in my country you can easily transfer your Bitcoin to local wallet and easily converted into fiat .(though it requires at least someone who has wallet for you to cash it out)

but best thing is use banks so there will be no other party need to use, just you and bank employees.

I think you will be having a hard time.

There are a lot of countries that do not accept Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies. Maybe you can check other exchanges in your place that might be able to help you. Also, you could just use exchanges in your place and make a cash out in your country through your ATM or another mobile wallet, that would be easy and you are ready, don't need to pose that as a problem when you are already in that country.

But the no. 2 option is more safe and secured when you don't know that the country you want to cash out bitcoin is against cryptocurrency. For example, in China, the government is against the cryptocurrency but still there are people who still continuously uses bitcoin. It is possible to cash out bitcoin there but it is very hard to have someone to transact with and if you'll do the 2nd option, you should know if the person is a legit and trustworthy for you to prevent being scammed.

Maybe there are a project that allow us to deposit bitcoin or ethereum and with their card  they can immediately exchange to fiat that we can use as long it supported VISA. If me not wrong in past there are a project which like that and still developed until now. But can't remember what project is it.

We don't need to snip or tried to use bitcoin if ever that particular place/country had already banning crypto cause you'll might be in the hold and questioned by the authorities once caught. And might worse thing to happen if they will confiscate all your holdings and send you back home.
It is better to cash out first before we visit other countries for the our safety benefits.

It depends on the country you are, there are some countries that prohibited cryptocurrency and some some of the country accepts cryptocurrency if you're in a country that accepts cryptocurrency then you can easily find a service on where you can cash out your cryptocurrency to cash.

But if you are in a country that prohibited cryptocurrency I think you can do it in persona trade however it would be risky and you may find yourself in trouble if you get caught, just like what I've said it is consider as an illegal act if you get caught.
Imagine police catches you trading bitcoins in a foreign nation and that too illegally. This itself sounds hasty. Trading with in-person over the seas can be riskier for us as there would be the possibility of police or any legal authority catching us for doing so at it would be something which would violate their financial laws according to their country. And if any foreign individual is caught violating any of the national laws than a strict action is taken against the same so it would never be something which we would expect. Except, we can cashout our bitcoins in our nation itself before our journey to the another nation and then easily convert our fiat currency to theirs at any local currency exchanger.

With your bank account and having a MasterCard or Visa debit card you can get money in any country. Just like where I live, if you open a bank account you’re given a debit card and those cards are branded with different names like MasterCard, Visa, etc. With these two I’m sure that you can withdraw money from your bank account from any ATM around the world that has the MasterCard and Visa logo on it. So what I do is that I simply withdraw my bitcoin from my Luno Bitcoin wallet and it goes to my bank account and I then withdraw from any ATM wherever I am.

Bitcoin ATMs or if your country that you go have local exchange which able to convert cryptocurrency to fiat of their country you can use it.
I think the exchange option is better compared to bitcoin atms which known takes too high fee for redeeming our crypto to fiat. But if the bitcoin atms is the only way, you should use it.
Bitcoin ATM's entirely depend on the availability. I do not really think each of the countries might be having bitcoin ATM's around each corner of their state so this option might seem not applicable here.

If OP was already aware about the bitcoin ATM and if the place he is living currently has any of such ATM's than I am sure until now OP might already have been used such ATM's as using those ATM to in cash our bitcoins is always a better option in foreign countries as we hardly have any local documents for verification onto any of the local exchanges so it might not be a suitable suggestion for OP.

Bitcoin ATM are convenient to use but what we lack is the availability of those globally. Most of the countries do not even know what actually bitcoin ATM's are and they have not yet seen any of such regulating so there needs to be awareness about those globally.

As some user already suggest, most simple way is buy bitcoin debit card which will allow you spend money from worldwide. So you will not have to seek for any other way.

The problem however is that the level of monitoring happening on these cards is huge because the underlying financial institutions subject the issuers of these cards to extremely harsh/strict policies. I wouldn't want to risk visiting a country to find out that the card has been blocked due to "suspicous activity" and stay without funds for days.

In case people plan to go on a trip, make sure you cash out your coins before the actual trip and use a legacy fiat debit card instead of the crypto debit card crap. It's centralization on top of even more centralization. Relying on anything related to crypto is just a pain in the ass. Not worth it in my opinion, but people are free to do what they want of course.

Meeting up with someone in person would be the very last thing on my list. I don't want to signal to anyone that I own Bitcoin in person.

Really depends on what country you are going to visit. If you are visiting a country that is a Bitcoin friendly and many are trading locally thru LBC then it will be easy for you. I still remember tourist going on Thailand and just bringing BTC with them. And when arrived on the tourist destinations in Thailand, they find a lot of local traders, so that's one example how convenient for you to bring only Bitcoin in a country wherein it is readily acceptable.

I think it will not very easy sell bitcoin when you are travelling on other countries, especially if that countries are not crypto-currency friendly. Because you won't familiar with their ecosystem. You may sell via local exchange like localbitcoin, but you will have to meet with any local payment system there. Perhaps western  union would helpful on that case to receive money. As some user already suggest, most simple way is buy bitcoin debit card which will allow you spend money from worldwide. So you will not have to seek for any other way.

The answer is depend on the regulation of the government, in my country there is only one bitcoin wallet that have been legalize by our government in order to withdraw bitcoin into fiat currency and it is the coins.ph. It is a bitcoin wallet but it have a lot of functions, there are also a lot of ways to cashout our bitcoins if we will use it as wallet. One of the easiest way to cash out is through remittance center and through bank account.

Cashing out bitcoin in another country shouldnt be a burden if you ask me but the first thing you need to understand is the country traveled perspective about cryptocurrency, if it a country that legalized crypto you could just search online for Bitcoin ATM near to you but if it a country that does not support crypto you can just make use the exchange you use before while you cash out the fiat using fiat ATM.

Another thing is; if ever in which country you are and suddenly decided to cash out your Bitcoin or convert it to their national fiat currency BUT they don't do it.
You can do; if there are other people you know from another country which selling Bitcoin to their national currency is easy, just here in the Philippines, you can send your Bitcoin their and tell him to convert your Bitcoin to their national fiat currency and that fiat currency will be sent to you may be via bank transfer or any money remittance.

This is quite difficult but for me, it is safe, just be sure you know the person or he/she is trusted who you sending your Bitcoins

Better you change your bitcoin before going to other country, because you will feel frustation to sell or exchange your coin in other country, you will find some problem like laguage, rate, fee, Tax.

Each country have diffirent regulation in view of bitcoin, you can use bitcoin as payment in some country but in other country you can't use it, just a digital asset no more.

All country have own exchange bitcoin market where support for withdrawing your asset to bank account and you can cash out your bitcoin to bank just few hours depend with your exchange regulation, but if your country have banned bitcoin you can convert first your bitcoin assets with other digital currency like PayPal and withdraw PayPal balance to the bank.

You should do some research first if that country you are going to did not banned bitcoin. If it's a pro bitcoin, you can just check out there certified and licensed local crypto exchange and cash it out via remittance money center. Or search their place about ATM machines. The two ways you have mentioned are kinda difficult. Well, maybe if you have an acquintance who also have btc then you can probably exchange to fiat or sell your btc to him.

The easiest way could be checking if they have any ATM, if they do not have any then you can contact with people all around the internet to cash out in a more profitable way for them to sway them to come to you and make a transaction to their wallet while you guys are face to face and get their money. It is of course risky to meet up with someone in case they turn out to be burglars or robbers whatever but at the same time these two are the most sane versions of cashing out your bitcoin there.
^ Lol, this is a very risky part, I think you mean that to find a random people that come from the internet and ask him/her top cash out your fund. I didn't trust anyone if my money is quite big to transact in a bank. For better and safety precaution, probably you will research first before anything else. Research first on your mobile phone the exact place you will go, you can also use any ATM machine for bitcoin but I dont think if there is.

I generally use plastic cards, which is how I withdraw BTC in my country, so in another country. Because in ATMs the spread is great and it is expensive to try. Sending to a bank account is not much different from ATM. Also, I do not want to waste time with this in every country I visit. Another way could be "manual exchange" in the country visited. But here too, there will be problems such as finding someone to trade and having trouble communicating with him and blah blah. So, best of all, find an exchange that charges a small fee and has a standard card all over the world.

The more difficult part would be opening an account on the countries local bitcoin exchange, going to a bank and getting a new account there, cashing out on the local exchange and withdraw to your local bank account, this may take very very long and it will be hugely costly as well.

For the first option, you would need an bank account in the respective country you are residing. This usually is not an easy task as you need proper KYC documents or atleast nationality certificate in order to create bank accounts in foreign countries.

Second option seems suitable for you. You can easily find a number of buyers/sellers who would willingly accept cash for their transactions in exchange with bitcoins so you could easily cashout your bitcoins with those people. You have to find such peoples and once you do, you would never face any problem to cashout your funds in any country.

Bitcoins are vastly spread now and in each country we can find local dealers accepting bitcoins so it has made the world grow in terms of bitcoins. You can't sell bitcoins onto any platform as it might not give you direct cash of the respective country you are residing in so In-person transactions would be a better option for you. You can specify the country you are residing in and try to find some local dealers here on forum itself.

If you want an easy way out without much hassle/information about you coming about, try peer to peer. Look for local groups and try asking some of them to trade with you. Less hassle, and you can meet up and hell, even ask for a tour even if you want. Other than that, I can only advice the same as others, crypto atms or the like. You could also try making a bank account in that country, but might add up additional expenses and a lot of hassle (possibly) in your part, so it really depends on you.

options 1 and 2 might be burdensome for you because the process will also take time ,rather than the time you wasted better follow the advice of friends change to fiat when your fly ,it's a wise choice and you also don't make it easy by not telling the place your destination country so its difficult for us to make the best solution in your case I mean there are actually many solutions but the problem is we don't know where you're going

Well, for the first option, it seems quite difficult, because it requires the original identity of the city or country. while option 2 is possible, but it's likely illegal if you are in a country that forbids using bitcoin as a transaction tool, but if you use it online that makes sense. Well, the best way is to sell your assets before going abroad so you can exchange them.

The stated Bitcoin ATM is the best invention for this challenge. A lot of projects are coming out with the same idea, It looks a great invention in bitcoin solving a general problem. The only challenge will be how to get it to hands of every interested bitcoin holders even in countries with bitcoin ban. I don't pay too many different means. My way is to speak directly to some people on telegram or trade in intermediate exchanges. After that, my money will be sent to the bank account or electronic wallets. If you go to another country but you can't make a bank card then surely the transaction is very difficult. things will get worse if you trade with Visa or Paypal, because it can lock your money anytime if they find out you are trading crypto. I think there is no other way than to transact via a bank.

Depending on the country where you will cash out, if the country prohibits bitcoin, it will be more difficult for you to cash out.
But there is still a way that is with a third party service that will convert bitcoin to the currency of the country you want. If the country
it has been legalized bitcoin will be very easy to do cash out, because all that remains is to create a bank account in that country,
after that bitcoin in your wallet can directly convert and enter your bank account in that country.

Which country do you plan if ever? Some restrict the usage of crypto so no matter how hard you try, it'd be pretty hard to cash out BTC to fiat. There are crypto atms in the world, but only à few countries cater them and they have tad bit high fees. Imo though, just cash out when you're still in your home country and then change it to fiat. Removes a huge hassle, especially since adoption is still rarely seen all over the globe.

I think to make it simple maybe cashout into my back account and then exchange it in money changer. Because we don't actually know what can happen if we exchange our bitcoin into country that maybe ban it or maybe although it is regulated, will be hard to find it personally. And as foreigner, usually people will underestimate us or maybe can use our weakness to scam us.

It is best to use the P2P trading method, which is the fastest and safest way when you are in a country in the world. You don't need to spend too much time creating bank accounts in their home country, it can get you a lot of trouble because the rules are different in each country. Just find buyers in that country and you'll sell them as easily as possible.

I can't give the best advice because every country has different regulations, but I will try to give advice, hope it can help,

First, you must create an account at a local exchange that provides withdrawals with the bank.
second, make sure the bank is in your place,
third, if the country does not prohibit bitcoin, then you only need to create a bank account that matches the exchanger,

after everything you've done, you can already sell bitcoin and make it to FIAT.

Life is short, practice empathy in your life
If you plan to cash out small amounts, try to use the BTC debit card services. The physical card is the best option for using the BTC on ATM or pos terminal. If you have no time to order physical cards, you can use virtual cards and transfer from one card to your new card which ordered on arrival country. For high amounts, it is risky to use this option, the bank can freeze the account if something is suspicious.

If i ever go to another country and try to cash out Bitcoin,

what are the ways?

Only two things i can think of...

1. Make certain bank account where i can cash out Bitcoin

2. In person

1st option may not be possible though at certain country...

Any thought?
If you wan’t to get a specific answer, you better add in your post which country are you planning to visit and exchange your Bitcoin to their local currency. In the Philippines, that would be a problem for foreigners, because Bitcoin exchangers in the Philippines are strict, before you can open an account that allows you to withdraw in local currency, you need to go through KYC. Even if you plan to open a bank account, you need to go through KYC.

Coindeal has decided to launch its card service. If I am correct, you can use this everywhere. I have not go through it fully but I had the impression that you can use it everywhere. They said "cash withdrawal of local currencies from ATM." which mean you can.

The simplest way is to ready your bitcoin converted to fiat already before you go out to any country since there's no guarantee that the particular country you want to visit has crypto-accepted services.
Yeah like why not do it ahead of time? Why give yourself a headache anyway.
If your reason is you don't wanna bring much cash then you why not use your debit card or credit card if you have.
Or even for emergency purposes.

I just hope OP could specify which country he'll visiting.  Grin

Every country and every bank could have its own terms and conditions when it comes to cryptocurrencies.
I don't know which country you are planning to go but no matter to that I think that solution is rather simple. Use one of available Bitcoin debit cards and you can get any cash without any issues and complications. Of course, you will need to pay certain fee and there is a limit for cash withdrawal but unless you need a really large sum that shouldn't be a problem.
I think that is the easiest and the most convenient way to cash out Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.

in use if there are regulations you need to follow them and also you need to know a little about those rules, so I think if you use bitcoin in other countries then you need to know the rules first. because if we don't follow the rules then you can be fined for breaking the rules.

You need to track where you can exchange your bitcoin for fiat currency, in my country there is also a bitcoin atm or exchange where bitcoin can be liquidated easily to be fiat currency in my country, but I think also which countries do not have bitcoin users in it , it seems impossible, even in almost all countries there are bitcoin ATMs or exchanges that can be used to sell your bitcoin into fiat currency, do not have to make a bank account sometimes we need someone to withdraw it with his account, it's usually done by me because I don't have bank account, so I pay someone else to withdraw my funds through his bank account

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
Just make sure that the country you want to go to, doesn't have crypto restrictions or say, crypto is banned.

If you are going as a tourist, and for a short period of time, then you have a couple of options:

- Order a bitcoin debit card prior to traveling.
- P2P trading using PayPal or Skrill (make sure they're linked with your Visa card so you can withdraw).
Adding, KYC is mostly a must in those services, so ready your personal documents when trying making an account on the services mentioned on the sheet.

Before going to another country, do research on what's the local exchange that they have so that it will be easier for you to cash out if you want to sell your bitcoins there.

But if they don't have, as an addition to the suggestions.

Check it on localbitcoins and you might find the guy nearby you.

I'm pretty sure we could help you more if you share with us more details (your current location, where are you headed and whether you have a student/work permit or simply a touristic visa).

Depending on the country you go to, and your tolerance for higher fees for converting BTC to FIAT, there a growing network of Bitcoin ATMs (see https://coinatmradar.com). The deployed network is pretty unbalanced if you take a look at the map, but the option is there. Besides fees, you also need to look at the cashing-out limits and associated requirements (if any – normally depending on the amounts being cashed-out).

Also there are countries where crypto is ban, make sure the country you are going has no such restriction. Crypto ATMs have high fees thats one reason why they are still not popular and widely used.
